I believe that apartment rental is not for every one. Although it can be for me in very near future as I have been to Medellin several times.

When talking about the options for the first or second timer in Medellin in the context of arranging tours with Medellin Paisa or staying at CB1 or CB2 is comparing apples oranges. There are many discussions of CB here. Simply, it's a bed & breakfast that is frequented, especially in the afternoon, by many beautiful Paisa girls, many are university students. I recall CB1 has 13 rooms, and there are mongers from all over the world. Generally very interesting folks. Big Bad Boyd of CB2 is famous for his casa tours. CBs have their solid appeal, but if you happen to find a "regular" girl, she won't come back to the Mansion with you. All the girls know of it.

Medellin Paisa offers a very different service. First, he's not in Poblado, but in the real Medellin. All the people in his bario know him, and he is well known and accepted by the locals. Something that doesn't happen overnight. He will take you around Medellin. The real Medellin. And will help you find lodging, but to my knowledge there is no pecuniary interest in any real estate. If you're interested in getting to know about Medellin, the history and social norms, MP is the man. Really a nice guy. Besides, his having lived there for over five years has other benefits. Some of his amigas are top shelf. These are girls, just normal girls that work or go to a university, but are generally very beautiful. You won't see these girls at the mansion or in a casa. He can introduce you if you're not a jerk.

John.[/QUOTE]Ricker is personal friends with Robert and Greg and his been posting for over 9 years on what great guys these two are, (and I don't disagree) I've stayed at CB properties on three of my vacations and have got to say I've had great times! I have no interest in Medellin Paisa's business, other than I consider him a personal friend and generally a pretty good guy. As far as poblado rentals goes, I also have no financial interest in that business. However, my last 6 trips I've stayed there, The aptartment route for me offers greater privacy, A bit higher level of luxury and just an overall more pleasant experience for me, I usually hang with one or two good friends and just enjoy life, The CB's offer great entertainment value but I'm just getting to that age where I don't want to share my house with 12 strangers. Also when it comes to women I tell them what I am willing to "donate" rather than them telling me 150k is the price.

Hello fellow Mongers, I'm headed to the talk of the town on Friday. Wanted to know what are the best discotecas to frequent in Medellin during my stay from Friday through Monday and which days are the best. So far, I've dug up:

-Spazio 44.

-Prizma.

-Karma.

-Aqua.

-Envy.

-Mangos.

-MIA VIP Room.

-Palmitas.

-Blow.

My preference is catered to the discos with the better looking women. I won't be able to touch all these nightspots so any suggestions on which, on or off the list, should be a priority and on which nights would be greatly appreciated.

Although I am not a big fan of the new rules that they have at Medellin Mansion / Casa Blanca / A new name in the making (LOL) , I am a firm believer in do unto others as you would want others to do to you. So if any newbie wanting to come to Medellin for the first time my recommendation to them would always be stay at Casa Blanca 1. I think before when they started a policy of having a subtle price of 150 mil. 150 mil was translating to ($60) which was very reasonable. Now that 150 mil is calculating to about $85. But all this devaluation of US dollar has nothing to do with Mansion Girls unless all the guys staying at the Mansion start paying equivalent of $65 which now will be 120 mil pesos.

Personally I stay at Casa Blanca because I am in that comfort zone. I am willing to try new options but my comfort zone just kicks in.

It's true that I'm amigos with those guys, even before the Mansion was a thought actually.

I recommend staying at their "hotels", however, because I truly believe it's the best option for a new guy on a "girly" vacation to not only meet beautiful girls, but to meet and learn from befriended experienced guys also staying at the hotel.

Just trying to give my advice to newbies, doesn't affect me one way or another, and the CB 1 why 2 seem to be pretty busy with returning guests anyway.

Don't know about you guys, but I can remember hitting new territory (cities) and being a lost new guy, and it ain't fun wasting time on a time limited vacation.

If the answer is no to both of these, then you will have no chance. All you can do is hangout and pray to get lucky. I help my clients find lodging that suits their needs & I do not make any sort of commission from their lodging decisions. I charge a daily rate for providing the services for my clients. I pick them up at the Airport with one of my "trusted" drivers & usually spend 12-14 hours per day with them. Neither Legal Tender nor TweedleD have ever been one of my clients, although I have thrown them a few "bones" per se in the name of friendship. LOL! I do suggest to many of my clients that they stay at a Poblado Rentals apartment because this allows me to do my job much better (issues of security & privacy for my clients). In addition, I have no financial interest in Poblado Rentals but I do consider BBrocs a good friend.

I am a one man operation that offers customized VIP Concierge services for the special type of client who wants to discover the real Medellin. I have had many clients from ISG though many prefer not to post too much info on the internet & I must respect their privacy! I must be doing something right because I am now "booked" 2 months in advance.

Please keep in mind that I have NEVER used either Teams Servises. Not because I am not on good terms with any of the two parties but rather I have not had the need. Ricker and I had a super small beef the other day LOL! That being said I'll try to give a fair and even handed summation of the "Biggest Schlong" contest.

Being a semi intelligent person I imagine; you can't bring a normal girl back to CB1-2. Well I guess you could but she's going to feel "uncomfortable" and the BIGGEST goal you have with a normal girl is to make her feel comfortable around you. I know a ton of fellas both new and old to the monger scene are pretty clueless on "The Game" but it's true. In the States would you take a date out to a strip club? Answer: NO! Why? Because you went from cool-fun guy to Dirty-jerk-pig the second you rolled up into the parking lot & she now feels uneasy about herself and her appearance.

Privacy is also a HUGE and often overlooked aspect of getting you own spot. What if you meat a nice, cool, chica? There is no come over and I'll make you diner or any of that at CB1-2. Peace and quiet is at the mercy of all the other guests. I usually have to work when I'm down for an extended periods of time so I need to sleep early, get up early, make calls, skype, confrence calls, ect. How you going to do any of this when 10 guys are using up the bandwidth down loading movies and streaming music as they crush bottles of rum and beers? Imagine trying to speak with a client as the guy in the room next door is banging some chicas head up against the head board! Hahahaha.

In summation: First timers with little to 0 espanol skills should stay at CB1-2 to learn the ropes. Not an endorsement as I have never stayed there but it makes perfect sense or if you are looking for more of a party atmosphere and some heads to pal around with. (also get me Wendy's number or a girl who looks like her! LOL) Most everything is taken care for you.

For the more experienced or Espanol capable or who want a more private experience you should reach out to Mede Paisa (I have never used but good reviews of his service) and get an aprtment.

Just playing bro! But honestly you can't pin down a night at a club in Colombia IMO. Just like in US of A, what is hot last week is weak the next.

My advise; use this situation as a plus! Go strike up a conversion with a pretty girl (food court at the mall is my fave) and guide the conversation to Discotecas! Ask what are her favorites, where she likes to go, when are the best night, what kind of music they play, are there any promotions, if she likes to dance, ask about her in general! Don't forget you are a foreigner, you are excused for not knowing ANYTHING about any club in any part of the city! If the conversation goes well ask her if she'd like to go and tell her she can bring a friend if she likes, say you're going to bring a friend too but them when / if you meet them there say he got sick or some shit like that. And yes you're paying but in Colombia? FUCK IT! Cover in Vegas is $150 for three people; Just to get in! For a $150-$200 you're balling out of control in Colombia! Once in the Club DON"T be cheap. But also be mindful of what is going on and what the girls are doing, you don't' want to get played either.
