I would share what they shared with me and what I followed.
1st thing is that you have very very very low chances of acquiring the virus with just 1 mishap. If the girl is on HIV medication, then the chances are way more lesser close to 0.
2ndly if you have decided to go ahead with PEP. There could be some liver damage at the worst, but that is very rare. These are not permanent damages.
3rd if you have started the meds, you will feel minor side effects for first 2 to 7 days, although I just had an upset stomach for first 2 days, that's it.
4th and most important that you should do is, take antacid medicine to avoid upset stomach. Also, take multivitamins and liver boosting supplements and some antioxidants. This will help you psychologically and otherwise also physically. Eat healthy, walk and don't cause extra burden on liver if you have a fatty one.
PEP has no long term effects as per doctor's. Very very rarely someone has it then again it's due to their liver or renal conditions and soo many other factors. So relax and complete the course. You won't feel a thing after 7 days.
