PC out.
There is a separate thread on Cebu and has lots information plus some (many and me) prefer it to Manila or AC but YMMV. Look on the Cebu thread as there you can find what you need.

On my two last trips I have on impulse went down to Rustans to upgrade my suitcases into the newest Samsonite. Bought one big with four wheels and on the last trip I bought a carry on also with four wheels (see pics below). I paid approx US600 for the big one and US400 for the carry on at Rustans.
Walking downtown Oslo today looking for a gift for my mother I thought what the heck I buy her a Samsonite red like mine. Well inside the Samsonite store I grabbed a red one and when I paid it was only US300 (inkl US30 in discount). I ran over to look at the price for the carry on and it was US150 only.
I new Rustans wasn't cheap but this was a tad to much. After all I am talking Norwegian prices here. I guess I have to stop running around in the hornyfog and buy everything in impulse.

Rustan (well anywhere that ells imported goods) has a huge mark up and unless you are lucky to shop overseas to get price comparisons (and / or are not in a hornyfog) then that is the unfortunate price you pay. Price up MAC make up in Rustans for example and buy in Dubai for instance (can be 50% difference!
BTW, are you telling member here you actually wear light colored moccasins? Or just in the room? LOL.
Rate tonight at NAIA was 45.50 to 1. This is a great deal for anyone coming soon.
PC out.
Airport is the must place for money changing for the just arrivals. But if some one in Pasay I found a place higher rate than airport. Just right of the Taft Ave. MRT there is Market building (connected with the station on 2nd floor). Just climb the stairs (beside the Mcdonald, now closed for renovation), end of the first floor (not ground floor) there are couple of money changers ready to provide better rate.
Hello,
When I buy things like a back pack shoes I will try to buy the local brands when I need to buy one when I am in Asia. I did buy Sandugo sandals and they keep serving me very well. If you buy back packs likes Thule (my favorite brand 25 years guarantee in the Netherlands) and you buy them in BKK they will be similar price and most of the times higher than in Europe. Usually if you can to places where the tourist buy you will get garbage if you are not willing to be a good price.
I remember talking to some students in HCMC. They were are using copy Samsonite back packs everyone of them had some some zippers broken but they didn't care. Being locals they pay 5 to 10 $ so just buy a new one. So just buy a new one every year.
BUT you don't want to walk around with broken zippers in district one in HCMC being a tourist. OOH the locals are subject to crime too.
Did buy a Thule back pack for a Vietnamese friend but did buy it in the Netherlands.
She did give me Vietnamese pepper (and some other things as well) so when I was back in BKK I asked a restaurant owner where to buy a pepper mill. She did send me to Emporium where they did sell; the Peugeot (the car company that did start making coffee and pepper mills) brand but at least 50 % more expensive than in my country. So I remember seeing one in food land. I thought they one have one, food land is a good company, so this one would be good. Well it wasn't ended up buying a Peugeot in the Netherlands.
The only thing where you should pay for in Asia is food and pussy.
I have been trying to meet some girls online in the Philippines. Yesterday I did talk to a nice 22 year old. She did ask me about time in my country. Oooh here we are six hours ahead she said. I said not really because here in Europe it is 2016 and guess what she believed it but was not really sure. Later she did check and said I think you are wrong you don't know what year it is.
Things like this worry me should I just go AC just pay and have sex or go to 'remote' cities and spend all day with a beauty with almost no brains and I hope I can fuck here before the end of the day?
So far I did focus on cities like General Santos, Butuan and Davao and Cagayan de oro. Will go early December so have check which will probably have not typhoons.
Greetings,
Frits

They have a captive audience that needs money right now, and they reflect that in a crappy exchange rate.

At least 7-8% lower than bank rates. I usually keep around 2000-3000 p for my next trip and it is in my packing list to bring it with me.

Greetings,
The only things you should remember while in Phils is that the food is so so with too much MsG in it, the girls are as smart as a 2 x4, and when you ask something be prepared to asked 3 more times.
If in Manila, add 1 hour to every cab trip unless you go to hotel lobby which should be faster than getting anywhere else you want to go.
Order a girl at 3 pm and your lucky is she arrives at 430 as 4 Jeepneys 2 buses and she might get there unless your staying in Burgos you just go straight to the streets there but lots of LBs so beware.

PC out.
As some one says every airports take advantage on just arrived passengers to provide far lower rate than the market price. But really Manila airport is different than others. Provided rates are very little difference with the market price. So no need to arrive Taft Ave MRT just for having little advantages. My tips are for those guys already are in Pasay. So you can skip the pain on your ass to be given by the traffic if you intending to arrive pasay only for better price. LOL.
Although outside of arrival lounge, NAIA 3 there are Airport Loop Line white buses departs for Pasay in every 20/30 min interval. Any one can ride the bus just for 20 php and the bus will drop passengers just behind the Hotel Sogo or Just beside the building I mentioned. I. e Tafte Ave. MRT.
Believe me, the service is smooth no traffic hassle.

As we expect the bank exchange rate should be same all over the nation. But Philippine or Cebu is different; provides lower rate than Manila.
So on my 2nd visit to Cebu I took enough php from Manila just to skip crappy exchange behavior.

The rate was at that time about as good as one could find anywhere in phils. The only better rate I saw was in Manila for 45.05 p on the USD.
