So what is the general consensus? Is it safe and worthwhile to go to Angeles City during an upcoming trip from Dec. 10 to 18?

Just spent 5 days in ChangPing, China and now Angeles City is the 2nd leg of our trip. Checked into our rooms and lounged at the hotel bar to watch the first game of the world series while waiting for the bars to open. Spoke to a bellhop (?) from the hotel and he gives us a list of bars that he recommends: Carousel, Genesis, Atlantis, Q-Bar, and Basher. So we went barhopping looking for these bars in that order. Couldn't find Basher anywhere so I must've heard it wrong.

Went into Carousel and was immediately seated at one of the tables. Ordered our drinks and we just scoped the place out.
