I'll re-confirm Gregory and Levitan's endorsements.
I've seen WenLi many times and if available, she is always my first choice.
I always book 2 hours because her slow sensual techniques are amazing.
After delayed flights and missed connections, made it to the hotel tired and frustrated. Contacted the indie Wenli and she was available on short notice, and this was past midnight. Her English is decent so easy to communicate, I know we are in it for pussy, but this does make a big difference. She came dressed casually with no visible make up, so no awkward feel walking with her past reception. Had to pick her up from outside because of hotel elevator 'password' requirement. She is a chatty with a happy go lucky personality.
I classify her service as super GFE, a 10 in my books, on my all time top 10 list for sure, looks a 7. 5. She likes it slow and methodical and soft, so may not be for those into pse or rough play. Her website is fairly accurate on what she offers, and she's upfront at the start. Won't go into detail but really liked her DFK and DT skill, zero gag reflex. She also gets into it easily, if you know what I mean. She provides decent massage between sessions. Now I am seriously torn between repeating and trying one of Steve's girls, or trying one of the pickup bars. May only have one extra free night on this trip.
Decisions decisions!
Thanks to the Intel from pros here, my time in Shanghai is shaping up pretty good.
Hi Everybody,
I will visit Shanghai soon. I am just curious that, if any monger got caught during the sex act by police, what would be the punishment? As you guys probably know, prostitution is illegal in China and I heard you might end up in jail for 15 days if got caught. Thank you for your advice.

1) face: not pretty, but not ugly either. But wouldn't give her a 2nd look normally.
2) body: far too short for what I normally like (if she were in a sauna lineup, there is no way I would select her), however very well proportioned and without question the best tits I've seen in a very long time.
3) language: one of the best English speaking WG's I've been with in China.
4) personality: awesome. She is entirely fun and tells jokes in English (ok, childish jokes, but still.).
5) service: best word I can think of is "magical".
To be clear though, if you don't have patience, don't book her (if your looking for wham-bam-thank you mam, look elsewhere) - and I completely agree with Stegram and almost suggest a 2 hour minimum should be mandatory.
Cheers,
Taz.
Last night I went to the bbs strips near Longyang Lu Maglev station. There weren't as many places active on Yinghua Lu as on Dujuan lu. On Dujuan Lu they seemed younger so I went west down that street from Baiyang Lu.
The first one I tried was quite a beauty. She wanted 500 rmb. She and her partner just laughed when I offered 200. They wouldn't take 300 either. So I left. The next one wanted 400 and in advance. So I left. I had a good time there once before but even then there was an upsell. I guess they don't like foreigners or old guys.
Then I went to nearby Sacrosa Sauna which was my first love in Shanghai. The lineup was 20 girls and I had a great time with number 552. She is a little on the skinny side but that's nice to.

You may experience anything from being left alone, asked to give evidence against the girl or mamasan to paying a 'penalty' direct to the police through to administrative penalty of detention for as many days as the police deem appropriate (hard to explain to the boss or the missus) through to a full blown court case.
And NEVER EVER follow a tout to somewhere under any circumstances.
How likely is this to happen? Anyone's guess, be guided by what is written on the board about girl friendly hotels, take the usual precautions if picking up in the street (which has it's own dangers) and be alert if in a BBS or other service providers premises.
I have seen a couple of reports on various boards but that is a couple amongst thousands of reports.
Teltel.
Supposedly, prostitution is tolerated in HK and Macau. I read in the 9/2 issue of Ming Pao, the Hong Kong newspaper, about a police raid in 2 hotels in Kowloon on 9/1. They arrested 24 girls and 2 pimps. Another poster said those arrests were mainly for immigration violation. But there is this item in Firefox China today, about joint efforts by the Chinese, Hong Kong and Macau police to crack down on prostitution in those SAR. There was a raid in Macau on 9/17. They arrested 31 individuals (8 staff, 21 girls and 2 johns). The stated purpose of all those raids was eliminating vice, not immigration issues.
Hope the crackdown will not be spreading to more and more places, especially our beloved Shanghai.
I am still confused. There is no hotel that goes by that name at the same address of Merrylin Hotel. In fact when I was in China last about 5 months back, the scaffolding was still on and had not reopened!
It's opened. Trust me.

Still pretty new. Sauna on the 3rd floor?
The reviews mention the 4th floor is a restaurant.

I have a couple of friends living in Shanghai. They don't go to this kind of place, but they often heard the crackdown of sauna and brothel in Shanghai. Tricky part is that you don't know what to expect if got caught, unlike other countries with law clearly stating what is the punishment or no punishment for monger.

Fast eddie 48.
I just read on a Taiwanese forum that there was a huge raid in HK yesterday which resulted in 4000 arrests / detentions.
Again I have no way of verifying this information.
UPDATE: Just received news that this current purge will last till end of October for the Party's Central Committee meeting.
I had mentioned in my post the HK raid was in the 9/2/15 issue of Ming Pao,one of the most read newspapers in Hong Kong. I had also said in my post the Macau raid was from the News Section of FireFox China News yesterday. It was one of the featured stories along with 4 or 5 pictures of the girls under arrest. Go RTFS. This is the site, but the article was from 9/24/15 http://i.firefoxchina.cn/?from=ntab_bottom.
If you do not think Macau police does crack down on prostitution, read this: http://news.yahoo.com/macau-police-arrest-stanley-hos-nephew-over-prostitution-031529565--finance.html. If you are not familiar with Macau, Stanley Ho was like Steve Wynn of Macau.
