I go to both places every year and enjoy myself. Some people like Pattaya, some people prefer AC, meh.
I get that different people have different likes and dislikes. What I don't get is why some people think that if they don't like something then everybody else should dislike it too.

Sometimes I think Pattaya has its drawbacks as well in terms of girls attitude.

No runners, only kick-outs when I've had enough. And out of those 11, most were game for either CIM or anal or both. Could the same be said of an AC girl? I think not.
And before going on the prowl tonight after a day at the beach, I enjoyed an excellent 3 course french dinner with a carafe of a rather good Cabernet Sauvignon. Would that be a feasible option in AC?
In my jaundiced opinion, there has to be more to a mongering destination than just bars and pussy. But that is only my opinion and 20 years ago I might have felt differently.

Mostly families, many with young children. It's nice to see other people, not just perverts like myself.
Are Thais overall less affectionate in the sack? I'd say YES, but only in a marginal way. But because mongers pay AFTER the deed (unlike in AC) , her less affectionate demenor is offset by her desire to earn her pay.
Pattaya is superior to Angeles City in every way. The only areas in which Angeles City is superior are.
1. Everything is on one strip, making it easier to get around.
2. It's close to the airport. For Pattaya, it's a 2 hour bus ride.
3. Bars open all night. For Pattaya, bars start closing at 1:00am.
That's it. I can easily spend a month in Pattaya. After 10 days in Angeles City, I'd want to commit suicide.

Kept saying,"There's got to be more?" Four-five nights is plenty. AC is a very interesting nawty side-trip in phils, nothing more (apology in advance to gents living there). One of the great joys of bargirls in AC, is that you don't have to be politically correct. You can be as descriptive as you want in telling her what you want. While she might say 'no' to any of your desires, she will be not be shocked by any of them. Its just business:

In Pattaya, it would be approx 600 - 1000 baht for the barfine, and 1000 - 2500 baht tip. I normally pay 700 barfine plus 1500 baht tip for 2 or 3 hours; I normally don't do long time. So that's a total of 2200 baht ($73).
In Angeles, the barfine for longtime would be between approx 1500 - 3000 pesos. I normally paid around 1700 pesos ($40).
$33 (73-40) adds up if you travel for a few months. Due to the stock crashes of 2000 and 2008, I have to be on a moderate budget when I travel.
Yes I know that in Pattaya you can pay a lower tip, but I believe that's for the lower half of the girls (in terms of looks) , and / or at the end of the night. You can negotiate in Pattaya for the tip, but in Angeles that is not possible.
In Angeles, some of the girls will be 3000 pesos ($70) , but then you need to compare them to the top notch spotlight girls in Pattaya; the barfine might be 700 - 1000 plus 2000 shortime or 3000 longtime ($90 - $133).

But note that this is a go-go bar on walking street (Silver Star) for a girl in the upper half in terms of looks early in the night during the high season.
Most of the girls at that go-go bar will ask for 1500 baht. That is their first price. That means you will be able to get a lower price for SOME of the girls.
But the cuter girls are barfined constantly; you have to get them early. I'm not sure if they will lower their tip requirements early in the night.

Although I I'm on a personal quest to go through all of the Devils Den girls, which is a bit overpriced (but the quality and service are superlative) , I have been astonished on this trip by the higher standard of girl to be found on Beach Road these days. You have to hunt a bit but it's easy to find as good as you can find in a go go bar.
I found Bee on Beach Road last night. She said it was her first night and she usually hangs out at Lucifers. She seemed good fun so I invited her to my hotel. Here we hung out and enjoyed several hours of frinking and ducking. She would willingly have stayed the night but I prefer to sleep alone these days. Total cost - 800 baht.

This is offset by the fact that AC girls on average offer cheaper service. But, ABC and Lewis Grand for example are pretty good places to stay and if they were located in Pattaya, they would be very competitve.

It does not inhibit me; I figure I belong here and these "straight people" are idiots for coming to Pattaya for their winter vacation. I mean what kind of fool says to his "straight" girl friend / wife,"honey, let's go Pattaya for our Christmas vacation this year. They have a beautiful beach, great hotels, and look at this deal we can get." Thailand has some of the most beautiful beach destinations in the world, but Pattaya is not one of them. When I see these families and 'straight couples' in Pattaya, I see real yahoos who either are cheaper than shit or don't know what the fuck they are doing, or both. The only thing these families and 'straight couples' do for me is create an unreal carnival freak show atmosphere. It is interesting to see for a day or two, then it gets old and stale. AC on the other hand, and for better or worse, has no pretensions as to what it is. Other than for some business purpose, the only reason to go to AC is for the girls and when you get down to the bottom line, that is the only rational reason to be in Pattaya too (other than business or family).
Anyway, I prefer Bangkok over Pattaya or AC. The reason is because BKK is a major city of commerce and culture. The nightlife is very good and a huge bonus. It is hard to run out of things to do in the big mango. The restaurants are among the best in the world. I think I could spend a year in Bangkok with short term getaway trips to the beaches or other destinations and never get bored.
