I'm not sure there's a lot to do there and it's just one neighborhood over from Jardins. Whether you want to discuss "where (you) want to be", Sao Paulo is a massive city and you're likely not going to be walking from one place to another.

It's still a mystery why BA has died off to this extent. When I was there, Hooks and Cattos were still alive but clearly circling the drain. Thanks for the tip. I've checked out that site and it is a bit intimidating since I don't speak Portuguese. The girls also didn't seem that impressive to me but I know pics sometimes don't do justice. My Spanish is intermediate level but it doesn't really help that much. I think I can make out some words and understand a little bit but it's not ideal. I will take a crash course in basic Portuguese before my trip.

As for why Bela Vista, the Airbnb I'm looking at is about equidistant from Casarao and Scandalo which is ideal since I don't know which I will prefer yet.
