Zero downside even if that was the ONLY sentence someone ever heard in their life
So when you say if you get vaccinated, you won't get Covid, and you do get vaccinated x 4 and get Covid, that is science? Hey, Gramps, what is your definition of is? And the reason Biden gave out false information was because of Trump? Biden had to lie because of Trump. LOL.
"If you're vaccinated, you're not going to be hospitalized, you're not going to be in the ICU unit, and you're not going to die. ".
Is that true Gramps? Is that science? Was there anyone who thought they should not have to go to the hospital if they were sick with Covid and stayed home and died because Biden said they would NEVER have to go?
There are millions who got vaccinated. How many injected bleach?
Yeah, that is a shocker. Biden is caught completely bullshitting about the vaccine and the media calls it is a half truth.
Trump jokes about bleach, and there are hundreds of articles about the dozens of calls to poison control but not this. Nah, it was half true given the context. "What Biden meant to say", yeah, how many times have we heard that line?
I should have anticipated the context angle. Biden didn't say he was sending troops to Ukraine. That was just a context error.
Gramps, you know you are totally full of shit right?
The science is the vaccine worked okay for a few months and then it did nothing and at the time it was doing the most nothing is when Dems were bitching the loudest for people to get vaccinated. That is the truth and the science, and Biden was miles away from both.
Thing is you didn't even know Biden said what he did Gramps. Why is that?
Look, Mental Midget, the reason almost nobody gave a shit about that one sentence is because he and his life-saving teams of experts who distributed and administered the vaccines Trump spent almost the entire critical year of 2020 insisting no one should bother inventing or taking because "we've got this under control, it's disappearing, it will go away without a vaccine" were constantly explaining how vaccines work to Mental Midgets like you; they prevent you from getting seriously ill WHEN you are exposed enough to the virus to test positive.
Biden even says it 2-3 different times at that same appearance.
But if you are prone to only choose one utterly irrelevant and harmless misstatement to go on and ignore everything else, let's examine the potential downside of doing that.
Zero downside.
Please explain the horrible outcome for some seriously hearing-impaired soul who only heard Biden say that one sentence and none of the others, got 2-3 vaccinations and then actually did get Covid but the symptoms were so mild thanks to his being vaccinated that he didn't even know he had it. Or the symptoms were no worse than getting a 3-day cold.
I suppose you think he ought to be hopping mad about that, right? Please explain why.
Now let's compare that to the dozens of times Trump said what I quoted above and millions of people were dumb enough to believe him. The downside to that is the actual death of almost everyone who died from it after they refused to get vaccinated despite Biden making them readily and freely available to every American.
That is a huge and meaningful difference.
How about a class-action suit?

Thank you!
Yeah, I understand some of the people who weirdly only heard that one sentence about not getting Covid if you take Biden's free, safe and easily available vaccines, still got Covid months later but, thanks to being vaccinated, had symptoms so mild, if any at all, most of them never even knew they had it are organizing a class-action law suit for having been so egregiously misled.
Dammit all, they never would have taken those free, safe and easily available vaccines and could have died from Covid fair and square if only Biden had kept his mouth shut and not misstated that one iddy biddy detail about it!
How dare Biden save their lives that way!
Before that they were happily sailing along under the Trump-assured delusion that "it is disappearing and will go away without a vaccine", well on their way to enjoying some serious debilitating symptoms, hospitalization, perhaps even death when they eventually became infected.
Then Biden had to come along and make that one sentence misstatement, the only sentence they heard, and ruin everything.
They might never forgive Biden for that.
Motley crew of presidents and "the arc of the moral universe... "
I am not a Republican as much as I vote Republican. When Bush trashed the economy and was mongering for war all over the world and trashing the economy, I voted for Obama. ...
You think there is this huge gulf between Republicans and Democrats. ...
Yeah! Definitely HUGE! This radical, far-right, QAnon "baby eating", "conspiracy at every turn", version of Republicans I don't recognize. IMHO, it started with the Reagan administration and has steadily gotten worse, culminating with the Agent Orange, as the least iteration of moral degradation and corruption.
Outside of his bone headed energy policy (and Bush's was boneheaded as well but in a different way), I see little difference between Biden and GW Bush.
They both love war.The best presidents in my life time (Reagan, Clinton, Obama, and Trump) all kept the peace...
What a motley crew of presidents. You certainly can pick 'em.
• Reagan (The 2nd worst of the bunch you chose) - The Godfather of "neo-liberal" capitalism, the "war-on-drugs" and the most puppeted President of all-time and ushered in age of corporate greed designed to disenfranchise middle and working class Americans.
• Clinton (The 3rd worst) - Dude, probably did more for the Republicans than any other Democrat President.
• Obama (The 4th worst) - Dude was a bit disappointing. More hard-line measures could have been taken to the banksters and fraudsters of the 2008 crash.
• Trump (No.1 and by far the worst) - Enough said w/r to the Orange Buffoon
Well, you have your reasons why you chose, who you chose. There is no wrong or right answer to voting and will also be a personal matter.
But the bear minimum I expect from a president/administration is to uphold some semblance of equality for ALL Americans w/r to peace, democracy and a just rule of law.
Hey, I struggle with the Dems, at times over the years, even coming close to "doing the right thing" and not succumb to "corporate greed machinery", but at least they strive more in the direction of equality and justice. (ie. MLK - "the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice"). Republicans not so much! If at all?

For the recently convinced 'Polls tell us everything' crowd
The uncharacteristic Repub advantage on the Generic Ballot question regarding control of Congress has totally evaporated in the highly regarded FiveThirtyEight Polling Service version of it.
Tied / Dead Even today:
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/generic-ballot/
Even on the demonstrably Repub / winger-leaning RealClearPolitics site version of it, the Repub advantage today has sunk to a mere 0.3 percentage point:

And this is as the primaries are only now determining which QAnon Repub loon specifically will be running against a Dem who, unlike the Repub loon, prefers and will defend and protect democracy over authoritarian dictatorship along with being able to tout all of the remarkable, historic, positive achievements and accomplishments of the current presidential administration and Dem-controlled Congress in recovering us and the world from the disastrous across-the-board economic, domestic, national security and foreign policy results handed to them from the previous Repub administration and his fellow Repubs in Congress.

As usual, Krugman is exactly right
Few Nobel Memorial Prize-winning economists (in Economic Sciences) or any others have been as right as often about the economy, the consistent Repub economic failures and lies and Mainstream Media's tireless efforts to "Bothside" every important issue into a false but perceived advantage and win for the Repubs as Paul Krugman.
His assessment of Biden and the Dems' next historic positive accomplishment in less than two years of Biden's astonishingly successful presidency is no exception to that pattern.
Well worth a read for some of the pro America elements cited in the Inflation Reduction Act that patriotic Americans will love for decades to come, Repubs will hate forever and MSM will happily struggle to turn into a very close horse race and, it hopes, potential election win for Repubs who have never, could never and would never come up with anything providing even 1% of the value this Biden / Dem legislation provides for America and Americans:
Kyrsten Sinema willing, Democrats appear to be on the verge of passing the Inflation Reduction Act a bill that probably would, indeed, reduce inflation but is mainly a desperately needed effort to limit climate change. Republicans are, of course, attacking the legislation.
But when I look at the substance of those attacks, such as it is, I cant help feeling more cheerful than I have in months.
For one thing, the debate over the proposal feels like a return to a more innocent time, when Republicans tried to make their case with dishonest claims about economic policy not insane conspiracy theories and attempts to overthrow democracy.
