Fantasy, you are absolutely correct. I remember that is [i]exactly[/i] what you said to him. "But Lino, isn't your location just a bit too close to Playa Dorado? Won't you get some grief from the government?"

If you remember however he wasn't the only guy we spoke too - who said he wouldn't "have any problem because he's Dominican." Someone else we know down there - had the same comment. ;)

I think the concept is a good one. I have often though that the BB model could be applied over and over again. (uh, Medellin Mansion?).

But the location was absolutely suicidal.

If he can convert the property to a "straight" establishment, -but drop the name for something less in-your-face, there might be a chance.

It could be "chica-friendly" like FOD, but not so damn OBVIOUS.
That could work, a good quality "chica-friendly" place.

BB used to have a "black book" with girls' fotos and more suggestive fotos on the website, -and got a LOT of scrutiny from the officials, so they dropped it.
(In favor of "Bikini Contest" fotos).
Put up the front like BB that the girls don't "work" there, they just "hang around."

Dominican or not, he's got to be subtle, (have to look up the Spanish word for "inconspicuous").

The New Garden Hotel is guest-friendly, its very convenient (less than 100 yards from the main places) its inexpensive, clean, safe, and has a nice little outdoor pool and convenient little bar on premises.

I checked it out a few weeks ago when I was in town. A very respectable place to launch your Sosua getaway! :)

Its very close to Classico. Its just around the corner and down the street where Rocky's and the old Cowgirl Bar used to be.

Yes. It is "guest friendly."

I have stayed at the New Garden Hotel before, and will stay there again this week (6/6-6/9). The location is great, the staff are accommodating, and it is good value for the money. I have seen families enjoying this place too. Though definitely girl friendly, it is probably best for the low key monger. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

1. Are the girls in Sosúa all shaven down below? I know that Americans and many Europeans prefer shaven girls, and I respect that, but for those of us who like the more natural, unshaven kind, is there any hope to find one?

2. Some members report that the Dominican girls are not as careful about feminine hygiene as, for example, Thai girls are. Does that mean that DATY is highly dangerous in DR? (by that I mean herpes and other STDs)

3. Where can you find "quality" (i.e. good-looking) Haitian girls in Sosúa? In the street? In a particular bar? Are they nicer or more jaded than Dominican girls? Would it help if I learnt some Kreyol before I went?

I've been to Sosua a couple of different times. Stayed maybe 5 weeks total over a two year period.

1. Most I found were shaven if I remember correctly. I know I don't remember encountering any jungle bushes, even though I preferred the Haitians and more or less focused on finding girls from there.

2. You can't generalize about hygiene. ALL DOMINICANS....blah blah. Like all Americans are big mouthed, blowhards who like to get drunk and throw around their money (this is what the Dominicans say about us!). I'd say DATY is not a good idea with working girls anywhere, even Thailand. For exactly the reasons you mention---STD's like gonnorea or herpes...or even worse. You don't put your dick in there without a condom, why put your TONGUE?

3. If you like the darker skinned Haitians like I do, you are in for a treat. They are everywhere! Attractive and unattractive alike. Downstairs at Classicos there seem to be more Haitians than Domincanas. Again, you can't generalize about them as a group...or you will be proven wrong. I saw a lot of "low-class" trampy, rough looking Haitianas, but steered clear. I also found an ample number of young, sweet, hotter than hot Haitiana ladies who I enjoyed a whole lot! Remember, the Haitians are the underclass in DR. They are the immigrants and the Domincans generally don't like them. If you go with a Haitiana and take her to where mostly Domincans are...you may get some attitude. Not as a rule. But it can happen.
