I live there, 2 blocks from the Zona Rosa, and I never experienced any bad adventure, nor did my family members or friends.

Of course, as most place in Colombia, you'll never know who is your neighbourg, but I really think that this is the safest place in Bogota with a lot of police everywhere.

Just my 2 cents.

I've never had the slightest problem there either personally. The times I had encounters with muggers or suspicious people were both in Modelia, which is another area considered to be much safer than it actually is. But statistically at least the ZR is the most dangerous. Which is not to say it's a no-go zone by any means. I wouldn't mind living around there at all, to tell you the truth. It would be crazily convenient, that's for sure!

The women are beautiful in Bogata. Bogata is definitely a cooler place than Cartageana, although I'm a big fan of cartagena. I've now been in Bogotá for several weeks. It is generally cold and it rains quite frequently. There are a tremendous number women who are interested in dating Americans.
