Last time I went to Phoenicia on advice from Rajfunloving and it was great. Just what was the expectation.
Now I'll really appreciate if some of you can tell about other options available for bbj and cim.
Budget is bd 40 per week and not bd 100 per week which I spent in phoenicia but it was worth it no doubt. Thanks Raj

Quick Question. Is the security outside of places like F1 and Pheonicia supposed to look like police? Had me put off a bit while driving and taking a look around. Years ago when I used to go clubbing here bodyguards had the typical buff look with regular clothing so it caught me off guard.

Yeah, the hotels seem to be getting their guards from the local chapter of 'rent-a-thug', uniforms provided. :)
After the shooting earlier this year outside BJs I believe that there has been a crackdown on security guards. Apparently there is now a school (I think its in Muharraq) that trains people to be security guards, and I've heard that all security guards need to be licensed, though I'm not sure if that legislation has been passed or is in the pipeline.
On a more interesting note, last week I met an attractive Ethiopian in the Wrangler and took her number. Last night I met up with her in Gudaibiya and went to her flat. Last night (Friday) Warbler was virtually empty though F1 was packed, and a good selection of PRC and Thai on offer. In Juffair the Rock Bottom was virtualy empty and very sparse pickings. It seems that many people are taking advantage of the 10 day holiday for National Day and Eid and have flown the coop. Either that or I just arrived too late. On Thursday there was a small gathering of Thais in Garfields, but nothing to write home about.
Diggers is doing well currently over on the other side of town. Lots of PRC and a number of Thais. The management seem to prefer the Thais since they have a good time and get the punters to spend more money behind the bar. The PRC are more business minded and market more aggressively, but don't spend much or get the punter to spend much when they are in looking at the footy. Also the Thais seem to be better looking than some of the PRC. Damn there were some PRC dogs there over the weekend.
All in all, the pickings are still ripe in the kingdom, though prices do seem to be rising. I believe that we should try and counter this by just not paying the high prices. The girls seem to be starting at BD 80 and negotiating down. I'm sure we can get them down to at least half of that without too much effort.

P.S. Horny469, not everyone posts field reports (FR). The whole point of this forum is to disseminate information, good or bad for everyone to share. IF you don't post, you don't share.
If you just ask the same questions that have been answered in the forum then this is not sharing information.
If all you do is question, then you can expect people to be cheesed off and expect you to RTFF. I"m not against genuine questions, but it leaves someone open to scorn, ridicule and flaming if they seem too lazy to peruse the forum back a few pages.
What is worse is if they can't be arsed to even read the page they are on. If the answer to the question is on the same page, then they open themselves wide to be slagged off.
Nothing personal, just an observation.

That's the one. First time I took her in the hotel (had an early start the next morning) she had the glitter. She wasn't wearing it when I took her last week though. It's a pain to totally remove it, it shows up everywhere.

150 quid for an hour at the rates that the pound is at compared to the dinar? Or 650 to 1,000 quid for an all nighter. Considering the Bahrain Dinar is pegged to the US dollar which seems to be in freefall currently, that's a lot of brass for a night of rumpy pumpy, IMHO.

After reading the report on FP, I recently ventured into that area for the first time and later thought why I did not do this before.
