I prefer trawling the pickup bars but rarely take any girls out. I want to congirm and add to reports that all bars at Dahisar check naka and in Mira Road are currently under heavy pressure from the police.

Yep...Dahisar naka is the best place now a days for quality..however, its not only redhorse..almost all top bars have a good selection..its just that..after few months..the girls are rotated into different bars again and again to keep the regular customers alive.

Cops are a non issue now a days, as the DB market is cooling down and bars and Cops are slowly connecting better.

However, if you are a first timer, between 10.30 to 11.30...you would see a blink of light go off and all girls run away to a room and then couple of cops walk into the the bar..

The 'Club 9' bar on Mira-Bhayander Road, the 'Orchid' bar near Mira Road Station, and 'Manasi' on W-E highway near Dahisar check naka have all been raided within the past 2 months, and customers have been picked up too. Customers are always let go because they cannot be charged, but not without substantial harassment. The cops are well aware that few customers would like to disclose their activities to their f&f.

There is no telling when they will strike and which bar they will choose to target. When the cops receive specific instructions from "above", they have to ignore whatever bribes and settings they have and show some results.

If this area is truly the best mongering scene in and around the Mumbai area, then these bars are being more closely scrutinized and IMO the risks are higher.

My point is that you should not ask yourself how likely it is that you will be arrested, but how comfortable you are with being in custody. Even if there is 0% chance of being arrested, and just 1% chance of getting picked up and harassed for a few hours, would you be willing to be subject to that?

On the other hand, if this really is the best we have right now, then I long for the days when dance bars had girls dancing, and the music was still rhythmic and the singing melodious (from mp3s, not better bathroom singers)
