Gaijin frustration in Osaka -- relieved!
I have been visiting Osaka occasionally for a couple of weeks at a time. I am an old fat married white guy from Massachusetts so am not trying to score for free. I don't speak Japanese at all. The attitude of Japanese towards sex (which I gather is: its OK to do it with anyone you like and as long as its discreet nobody cares) seems indeed "healthy" and great. There are tons of "delivery health" outcall businesses easily found online in Osaka. But only one that I've found speaks English, and it has only 2 girls in Osaka (more on that elsewhere).
Eventually I found [url]http://japan-escort.net[/url] and it explained how to order a girl in English. But it doesn't work. When you call the number to confirm, you get a recorded message in Japanese. I got an acquaintance who speaks Japanese to call for me. A guy who spoke English called back and said 9 PM for 2 hours would be 45, 000 yen (about $480). He showed up with a girl at my hotel door at 9:45 with no apologies. I made sure to get a phone number. He collected 40, 000 yen up front and insisted that I tip her 5, 000 yen after. The girl was 30-ish, tall, spoke almost no English (no problem), good looking but no spring chicken (clear signs of having a child; turns out she has a 4 year old daughter). When I got out a condom she said "In Japan, no sex". I said "OK". We did everything else and she was very responsive and compliant, and I had a good time. Later my acquaintance said yes, delivery health is officially no sex. I didn't believe it would be that way in private but so it was.
OK, says I, its a bit expensive but fun so I'll get another girl. I phoned the number the guy gave me in person and got the same Japanese recording. Dead end. Frustration.
Well, today I got up my courage and took the train down to the Tobita brothel area after reading about it online. Wow, what a great experience, though a bit spendy ($225 for 30 min full service). The nice thing is you can select the girl you want. The area seemed totally clean and safe on a Saturday shortly before dusk. Best of all, about one-third of the shops smiled and invited me in (gaijin friendly) (the other 2/3 averted their eyes, clearly signaling me to move on).
The girl I chose was petite, very slender, gorgeous in face and body, enthusiastic, energetic, and all around wonderful. I'll describe the practical details of how to get there and the whole experience in a separate post.

Gaijin Fun in Osaka Tobita Shinchi
I am happy to report that safer sex is easily available to foreign visitors to Osaka (gaijin) in April, 2010, even those who speak no Japanese. Osaka's Tobita Shinchi brothel district is alive and well in 2010. Although this neighborhood is described as lower working class (and probably is), I felt completely safe there on a Saturday afternoon just before dusk, and on a Sunday at dusk and shortly after dark.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Open double sliding doorways line the sidewalks on both sides. Over each doorway hangs a white paper lantern (often inside a plastic bag), and above that is a square white lighted sign with two Japanese characters. Inside the open doorway in plain sight are a mama-san, and an often beautiful young woman. There are some older or plump women too, mostly around the edges of the area. Well-dressed, affluent-looking young men were walking up and down, wearing suits and nice clothes on Saturday near dusk. On Sunday at dusk, the young men were mostly wearing blue jeans and casual shirts. Some clients were also trolling the area in taxis or cars (but the streets are narrow with little traffic). No street hookers, only sitting inside each doorway. Although in the adjacent shopping arcade and streets outside the brothel area, there are a few homeless or drunks, there were none in the brothel area. There is a police station on the corner of this area. I saw uniformed and helmeted men with clipboards (police? not sure) walking past the brothels and talking with the proprietors. Everything was clean, orderly, and pleasant, and totally out in the open.
HOW TO GET GAIJIN SERVICE: I am an overweight white male from the USA who looks 60-ish but am older. I was wearing blue jeans and a fleece jacket, and felt a little under-dressed. As I walked by each shop and smiled and nodded my head, about two-thirds of the time the women did not respond or looked away. I took these to be the gaijin unfriendly places. However, about one third smiled, waved, called out to me, and often the young lady smiled and looked invitingly right at me. One mama-san even said "Hello" in English. And several of the gaijin-friendly ones were quite good looking. After walking through the whole place about four times marveling at the sights, I chose the "Hello" shop where the young lady was petite, thin, and lovely. I stood politely outside the door, smiled, and said that I did not speak Japanese. The seated mama-san looked perplexed but the seated young lady began saying a few words in English, while giving me a brilliant smile. Not being rebuffed, I stepped just inside the threshold. I handed the young lady a piece of paper and a pen, and she said Thank You!
PRICES: She wrote "20 1,600" (20 minutes for about US $170). I wrote "30 min ?" and she added "21,000" (about $225). I said OK. (Later I saw signs: each additional 15 minutes is $110, so $330 for 45 min, and $440 for one hour. These prices have not changed for a decade or so, and seem to be uniform in Tobita.) She motioned me to ascend the stairs, after I removed my shoes.
SERVICE: At the top of the stairs, she invited me to use the toilet (yay! I needed to). The bathroom was spotless and odorless with toilet, urinal, and sink. From outside the bathroom (where she waited, just a curtain in the door) she handed me a moist washcloth. I had showered just before coming. She told me to go into room #3. (As I later confirmed, sometimes there may be more than one lady working in a shop, rotating. I never saw more than one in the open door though, and often the young lady's seat was empty, evidently because she, or all the ladies in the shop, were upstairs working.) The room was small and clean. On one side was a low table with cushions on each side. The young lady offered me iced tea and a cookie. I took off my clothes. She hung them up. On the other side was a futon and pillow. The only slightly grungy/worn things in the place were the towels laid over the futon and pillow. She stripped and wiped her privates conspicuously, then mine. I am a little larger than average and brought my own (Okamoto Mega Big Boy [in English!], black box with red print and photo of elephant, available in larger drugstores). She expertly applied one with her mouth and brought me to attention in a couple of minutes. She seemed to be in her early twenties and was absolutely gorgeous everywhere, a 10 on my scale. We went at it for 20 of my 30 min, she doing every position that I indicated. I was carefully watching the time. She was tight, energetic, enthusiastic, and wonderful. Of course there were little fake moans and of course I did not expect to get any real arousal out of her, though I tried briefly. I avoided cunnilingus and kissing for safety reasons, although from what I've read both are very low risk. I was careful to be covered for fellatio because there is significant risk from that, and studies show that about 10% of sex workers have pharyngeal gonorrhea or syphilis (I'll post separately on this). She lay on top of me and hugged whenever I asked. Afterwards, she cleaned me up with moist wipes, and handed me a moist washcloth for my hands. As we still had a little time, she came over and lay next to me nude for a cuddle. A bell rang for the 5 minute warning. I gave her a little massage for the last few minutes and she said "heaven". The end bell rang, and I hastily dressed while she ran about cleaning up. On the way out I gave her 2,000 yen tip which she accepted with a smile. Mama-san ushered me out with shoe-horn in hand.
Second trip: The lady I picked was also petite, thin, young, and very pretty. She had one of the flattest chests I've seen, but I rather like small. She was a few years older (25?) and a little less engaging than my first; I'd give her 9.5 for looks. She did not show me to a bathroom first, but I think if I had asked, it would have been available. Again, tea and cookies were served on a low table. Cigarettes were available in both places (but I don't smoke). She left me alone indicating that she'd clean herself outside the room. She came back and stripped immediately. Neither girl was shaved; both had a nice natural bush probably trimmed around the edges. Japanese pubic hair is straighter than caucasian -- so it really stands up, which I find cute. We had a fine 30 minutes. Again the wipes. As I was dressing, she said "Wait a minute" and left the room. I finished dressing and stood around for a minute or two. I decided might as well head out. I stepped out into the hallway just as a young Japanese man stepped out of another room. My girl rushed back from the bathroom and politely ushered me back into my room. I'm sure this was very embarassing for them all. My faux pas! From what I've read, Japanese men don't like the idea that gaijin are using the same girls. Seeing me there could be bad for business. Guys, if she asks you to wait a minute, wait till she returns and gives the all clear! Anyway, they were very polite and courteous on my way out, but I didn't hang around in the doorway in case other potential clients came along.
Overall I wouldn't have missed this experience -- what fun! It is a bit pricy, given that I can get 2 unrushed hours outcall in my Osaka hotel for 35,000 yen ($370). HOW TO GET THERE: Take a train to the Dobutsuen Mae station on the Midosuji line. Osaka train stations and routes are listed in Wikipedia. If the Midosuji line is not convenient, take a train to a major downtown transfer point such as Namba or Umeda, transfer to the Midosuji line, and go South. Dobutsuen Mae is station N22, and is 2 stations south of Namba (Nanba). To buy a train ticket, first look up the price for the ride to your destination. This will be on the huge route map over the ticket machines, which is usually labeled in English as well as Japanese (but not always). Put money in the machine first. Prices will appear. Touch the correct price, and your ticket will be printed and change delivered. If any problem, don't hesitate to ask the person in the booth at the ticket gates. They are always polite and happy to come out of the booth and show you how to work the ticket machine. It does help to have your destination (and home station!) written down in Japanese to carry with you. Don't forget to take your ticket from the entrance gate as you pass through -- you'll need it on the way out!
The brothel district is about three square blocks, and is on both sides of a 90 degree turn from South to West of the huge elevated highway that runs over this area. At maps.google.com, look up "Tobita, Osaka, Japan", and/or see [url]http://www.21orover.com/japan/nws/Tobita/[/url] Look for exit #2 when you arrive at Dobutsuen Mae station. As you come up onto the street, you'll see a major highway elevated straight ahead, and a covered shopping arcade immediately on your right as you come out of exit #2. Enter the shopping arcade and walk straight ahead. Keep well to the left to avoid being run into by bicycles. After several blocks (about 10 min) the shopping arcade ends, just where the elevated highway turns. The brothel district is there on both sides of the highway turn. The part outside the "elbow" of the highway is where the older ladies are, while the younger thinner ones are on the inside of the highway "elbow". Look for narrow streets with many open doors and a lighted paper lantern hanging over each door, and a lighted white square sign with two Japanese characters over each lantern. There are 4-8 of these shops in each long block, and 2-4 in each short block.

Well, I visited some time ago Freajia, I was given option on different LH, remember some one Manhattan? Or Grand Calme, with a regular LH setup. Enough space for fun in the bath, large enough bed. All we need, right?
Price 2500 Yen/hour. Quite OK.
On another matter, has anyone tried the 3P or AF option, not implying FS.
Any recommendation on nice combination of ladies for 3P.
