It seems that texting / calling is a pretty essential tool of the trade here. So I'm wondering what the best approach is. I really don't want to give out my cell number and was wondering what my options are? Can I buy a disposable / pay as you go phone when I get there? I mean I'm sure I can but is it the way to go?

I read about sim cards on here but not real familiar with those. Not really sure how those help the cause. Also, I have an iPhone so not sure if I can use a sim card with it.

How does everyone else handle this?

If its locked, they will send you an unlock code if you ask for it, via email. You can Google instructions for how to unlock your phone once you have the unlock code. Once the phone is unlocked, you buy a SIM card in the foreign country you visit (ie Phils, about $1) and stick it in your phone. Your phone has a new (phils) phone number as long as you leave the new SIM card in the phone. You can switch back / forth the SIM cards as you please. If you use a phils SIM card, you must pay (in advance) for a 'load' (the amount of timed calls, txt msgs, or data), typically any amount up to p1000. You can load a SIM card on the street for any amount, even a small amount like 5 pesos. Each txt msg will cost you 1 peso of your load. A phone call will typically cost you about p6 / minute. Using data to browse the web or chat in an app (ie, YM) will burn thru your load quickly.

You can also choose to purchase a pre-paid 'plan' for unlimited txt, call, and / or data, for a specific time (ie, 2 days, 7 days, 30 days). I prefer to get a phils SIM card in my phone and purchase an unlimited plan for 30 days (even if I'm in-country for 3 weeks only). Pinoy call an unlimited plan 'unli'.

If you choose not to use your phone, then yes, purchase a cheap disposable phone (along with a SIM card, and load it) and use that. A cheap disposable will run p600+, and a smart phone will cost p5000+.

Best have one's cell phone on audio RECORD while going through ALL airports in the Philippines.

That way, the request for dirt money is recorded. At least then one has evidence. A good lawyer would need that and the TV channels would love to get hold of that recording.

On that premise, any variation of seediness on this forum among individuals is just a matter of degree. As for Mr Skogis's time spent reading and writing on this forum, I'm very appreciative. His reading and writing pastime harm none while informing and entertaining many. Such contributions and contributors are the reason this forum exists.

Many, maybe even most of us make no deceptive promises to the women we bed. Mr Skogis in particular even gives them money even though he specifically excludes girls who request it up front. This eliminates the whole prostititution-as-exploitation debate and is simply two (or three or however many) competent adults doing whatever consenting adults want to do with or to or for each other in private. Specifically in the Philippines, there's such a bewildering mix of self-delusion, repressed desires, desperation, curiosity, lengthy celibacy, hopeless abandon, sincere affection, scheming and deception in differing proportions, that it's impossible to untangle motives. It's a form of respect just to assume the women we meet know what's best for their own selves.

I disagree that Mr Skogis is whacked. Many or most guys would love to own a palace with a large wing for the fully occupied harem of eager sexmates. (I'd personally also have a refuge wing where none could enter.) Just figuring out the logistics of it now: Lease an entire boarding house with a separate nearby small condo for my refuge? How many Filipinas we've met were theoretically (at least to friends / family / neighbors) in a relationship with another guy? I'm thinking most. " I mock that one by saying "Shouldn't you be friends first?" They rarely get it. There is no particular city which has a monopoly on good looking women. All cities have their share of hot and ugly women. Yes, even Medellin, Colombia has ugly woman. If you are looking for Victoria Secret type girls, you should visit the Hi-so clubs in Manila. Hutsori has written detailed lists in this forum of high end club action.

Beauty is in the eye of beholder, I see guys with girls who IMHO are ugly so who know the answer.

There are so many beautiful girls around the world but if I would narrow it down to the PD Mongers question, I would go with Jakarta. Girls down there I find more stunning than in most countries. No one has to agree with me but I am speaking in general terms only. Often are indo girls taller, better boobs and hips that pinays(better than most girls globaly infact)

I view this also from a globaly perspective though and I believe that the most stunning girls grew up everywhere. Like in my country, and no one knows why, we have this small town / village called Jessheim (a tad north of Oslo). Here are, by far, the most beautiful norwegian girls come from So in this perspective I find the questionmaker not to far off asking his question. They grow up and lovate everywhere. Ofcourse if u are stunningly beautiful, then at some point most girls will use there Beauty (and the beast) will be sometimes centered to small locations and in a genetic perspective beautiful people mate with other beautiful people. I leave out many factors but still it can be some sort of explenation.

For example, assuming you are from Portland, OR, most of the hot girls from Portland go to LA. LV, PHX, MIA or NY. So, the same rules apply the Philippines. Hotties are around Makati Greenbelt, GBC or Cebu. Even if they are not there, they will eventually end up there.

Was fortunate enough to make a first trip to Makati and AC a few months ago. Only spent about a day and a half in Makati, but it is obviously a good area. Only had time for a Burgos bar girl and a Havana Cafe freelancer, both were not that special but I can see how those with time and some fieldwork do very well there. Then headed to AC for a week. A board member graciously showed me the place on my first night, I picked up a girl way too late, thought she did a runner but it turned out she came back a few hours later with a friend who she offered up to me and they just wanted to screw, sleep and eat. Crazy place, crazy girls.

On my second night in AC I met a super cute, super sweet 21 year old bargirl who was also really shy. She had only been in town two months and had not accepted many barfines (other girls in the bar and the manager later verified this), mostly wanted to sell drinks (needed to raise money to help her family rebuild house in Tacloban destroyed by hurricane). Told her I was a nice guy and she eventually agreed to a bar fine. I think it helped that I am reasonably young by AC standards (43) and short and fit (I am not too far from being Philipino sized, but with an American sized wallet). Wound up spending the next 6 nights with this girl. Didn't go to AC with the intent of wife-ing up, but it was just a great GFE experience and the girl was very sweet and easy to be with (the "its up to you" pinay experience). Also I was there in July, AC was insanely hot and basically the town is a dive, so spending each day just chilling with this girl at the pool on top of the Penthouse Hotel seemed like the best thing I could do there (FYI. The Penthouse Hotel is nice, but poorly built and looks far more worn than a 2 year old building should, plus one elevator is always out of order. Locals told me the Central Park Tower next door is much better and it also has a nice roof top pool). I know I probably should have handled this differently and tried out a lot more girls, but I still had a great time. At the end of 6 nights the girl was crying when I left and I promised to come back soon. She wound up moving back to her family home shortly after I left town and I have been chatting with her on Viber. While she is a very sweet and simple girl, the conversation is a bit lacking as you might expect.

I now have the chance to spend up to 2 weeks in the Phils around American Thanksgiving after business meetings in Singapore. I was thinking of flying to Cebu, spending a week there (trying my luck with bars, malls and online sites) in order to experience more girls and hopefully not just bar girls. After a week on my own, I was going to fly the girl I met in AC to Cebu and then head with her to Boracay for a week.

Hope this wasn't too much background info. My questions for the Board are:

1. Is Cebu a reasonably nice place (is it more like Makati than AC?) where you can enjoy walking around, some sightseeing and of course trying to pick up girls? I have read that it is one of the nicest cities in the Phils, is this true? Are there any non-mongering tourist activities worth doing there? Any recommended places to stay in Cebu. Should I try to be close to the malls or bars?

2. For online sites that work in Cebu it seems the Board members use DIA and Filipino Cupid. Are there other sites I should look to? Given that I only have a week, it is worth it to spend time online or are Cebu girls receptive enough that just walking around malls and the city can work? Are there any Board members in Cebu who would be willing to help this noob out?

3. If possible I prefer LT GFE experiences, is that possible with girls in Cebu or do they generally have to get back home and can't be gone all night? (obviously one advantage with bar girls in AC is that overnight is the standard).

4. Haven't read much about Boracay on the Board, other than the recommendation to bring a girl with you. For those who have gone, is it worth going if I am looking for a good beach vacation or are other spots better? Any recommendations on where to stay? Are all the tourists there from China / Korea or do English speakers go there?

I was in Boracay in March '15 for 3 nights and brought a girl with me. The beach setting is spectacular, but the water had a band of green algae extending out about 15-20 feet. The majority of visitors seemed to be Korean and Japanese, but English was the common language. There are a lot of restaurants on the beach but I did not find a good one in my 3 nights. The fire shows on the beach are interesting the first time. There are a lot of activities such as snorkeling, helmet and scuba diving and jet skiing available at a reasonable price, but best to book directly with the operator (Station 1) and not with touts or hotel. There is good evening and night social life with live bands playing until 1-2 am. The women I saw that were possibly "available" at the tourist bars would have had to pay me, but I didn't spend anytime searching for that so there may have been better options elsewhere.

I plan to return with another girl. But if you are already in Cebu, you can book a beach resort on Mactan Island and save a lot in airfare, time and hassle (getting to Boracay from the closest airport is an adventure in itself). The beaches on Mactan Island are not as scenic, but they are more private. Again, the majority of guests are Japanese and Korean. But the Filipino hotel staff are sincerely happy to have you. And, you will get to experience rural Philippines on the ride out to the beach; an experience you won't get staying in the city. It'll put "poor" in a whole different context.

Also Manila do have a serious traffic issue and you just schedule your appointments accordingly. I also recommend you to stay around Greenbelt. There are couple places where FL hang out. You can find some hotties and go to your hotel in a breeze. Have fun.

But yes IMHO Cebu is way better than Manila / Makati. But don't tell people as they will all come to Cebu and spoil my fun LOL. Pinays are pinays everywhere, need to ask ad see what happens.
