All for January. Most with one layover (total flight time 8-12 hrs).

The answer to your question:

There are two main types of independent escorts in Korea, those that cater to locals and those that cater to foreigners / tourists.

In any market, the foreigner / tourist prices will always be higher because the seller knows you don't know any better. You are essentially paying what I call "inexperience tax", what others like to call foreigner tax.

Escorts and agencies that cater to foreigners know you can't navigate the Korean scene that well, especially if you don't speak Korean. Even if you can speak Korean, not every hooker will want to service the foreigner. These agencies and escorts take advantage of that and maximize their opportunity to empty your wallet while doing as little as possible.

Officetels are cheaper because they have to compete with each other for clients. Foreign-catered agencies and independents are expensive because they don't have that much competition. There are only about 5 legit foreigner-centered independents that openly advertise in Korea, if we add the ones that appear and disappear every now and then, the number jumps to 10, maybe 15.

So 15 independents max + 5 agencies max, for hundreds or even thousands of horny foreign mongerers and tourists = little incentive to offer competitive rates or services.
