Robb has a good point. Its not for lowly me to tell others not to buy LD's for the girls. For some guys, partying with pretty girls IS the juice. For other guys, they are too shy to just tell the bargirl what they want, so he has to sit and ply her with LD's and screw up his courage. And for other guys, he must feel a "chemistry", which requires spending half an hour or an hour chatting her up, which the bar and the girl won't let happen without LD's. And for some guys, they think the girl must also feel some "chemistry".

Please ignore all of that psychology. Concentrate on economics. If you are the girl, each LD keeps you one step closer from feeling the need to barfine tonight. She'd rather earn 400-800 in LD's than barfine and make 750-1000 w / tip. Only in the high-end places does the EWR work out better for her.

If you are the bar owner, each LD purchased not only profits the bar directly from the drink price, it also makes the girl less likely to barfine, keeping her in the bar all night and closer to the more profitable LD purchases. Why would you want her to go out on EWR for your p750 profit (1500ewr) , when she can get hit by several big-spenders on double LD's for the evening, making the bar even more? Remember, the stuff in the glass costs the owner very little (a regular drink for you at p80 or 100 is high profit, and a LD at 180 is gold). This would allow you, in the long run, to raise your EWR price (you know guys will be more likely to buy LD's and not leave with the girl). The pretty girls who get LD's he wants for booze money, the plain girls are there for EWR.
