She is not a "pro" so she did not demand money from you the first time, expecting that you would give her money anyway when it was all said and done. Since she's fairly new to the game, she was not comfortable discussing money and didn't demand money when you didn't give it. She then went home crying to her friends that you didn't give her money. They told her that most guys will give money without asking, but since you did not, she has to demand money up front. So she is now demanding money up front.

That kind of thing used to happen to me when I was new in Jakarta. I was too naive to realize that even when these girls don't demand money, they still actually desperately need it. I would even ask them "do you need money"? And they wouldn't say anything and would seem uncomfortable with the question, so I wouldn't give it to them. After I lived in Jakarta longer and got to know these girl's situations, those girls absolutely needed that money. Hell, back then it was only 300k. Looking back on my youth, I feel bad to have not given the "nicer" girls money when they left. You were lucky to find one these days. They used to be the norm in Indonesia, but now the norm is for the girls to be hard core and pretty much always demand money up front.

[/QUOTE]Yeah, since my last post I have been wondering if she was new to the game. That would certainly match some of her mannerisms and service level. The thing that totally threw me off was that I specifically asked her up front if she wanted money, she said no, got offended and said she was not like that. So I put my wallet away and just enjoyed.

I have been with women in Jakarta who work normal office jobs, have no interest in being paid and find it quite offensive when money is offered. This one had me convinced she was one of them. Although she is talking to me again on whatsapp this morning, so I might have one more go, I am such a glutton for punishment.

I am a bit intrigued with trying to figure out this ones story. She is already telling me by messenger that she wants to see me again and won't ask for money again, she just had a short term need for some cash and she really is not that kind of girl. She is from a small town, has never lived in Jakarta so maybe she is telling the truth and I am just jaded. New to this forum, just found it. I had some time in Indonesia last October so will post about a couple of my adventures.

Arrived in Jakarta on a Thursday and a mate took me to bats on the first night. To be honest not really my scene, but anyway hurled a few drinks down and got chatting to a nice enough girl called Ina. She spoke good English. I bought her 2 Long Island Ice tea's. She can drink.

I only do dating sites nowadays and had someone over last week somewhat similar to your girl. She wasn't keen to eat dinner and only seemed keen to get back to the room. No mention of money, and she was definitely in it for the enjoyment. Took our time and the only clue came when I asked if she need some money for the taxi. She said yes, but didn't ask for anything in particular. I just put 600 k in her bag which she didn't look at or count in my presence and walked her over to catch an express taxi. The absolute maximum I have paid at BATS is 1. 5 juta and this to a smoking hot girl who was a university student at that time. I know because she has so many pics of her graduation later on whatsapp. But now, you do see her a lot more at BATS.

I am never the price police but at USD 300 is more than what is quoted at Brix, Singapore (as someone mentioned).

In the BATS girl's opinion, ST is one time, regardless of the time. LT is min 2 and rest depends on the chemistry. I like them to stay with me and it's usually LT for me. Normally, 800 K to 1 million is the median price to stay till morning. But I normally pick them after 1. I reach there early and only go with girls who are there from the time I arrive.

There is no set price for girls at any of these places. When you get an absolute stunner, her price is going to be higher.

Some questions about the local transportation and usual rates for negotiations as not to be rip off.

I know most mongers usually take the meter taxi such as bluebird for the hassle free trip. Also the Transjakarta bus line but they run limited routes so may not be along the routes that will get me to some places I like to see or do but at least they have a fixed price.

What is the proper prices for Ojek- moto taxi or the Bajak- tuk tuks as they seem useful for shorted trips? Also wondering if they are safe to use or just true rip offs to the foreigners?

Plan on doing some sights and travel around between monger sites using the ojeks or Bajaks if they are worth using.

I plan on staying in the Mangga Besar area in North Jakarta.

So using the Mangga Besar as starting point,
What should be the correct rates to.

1) Mangga Dua.

2) king Cross Spa.

3) Gambir station.

Mangga Dua: 25/30.

King Cross: 50 (though always went there at night only when the traffic is calm. Before 7 PM I bet they would ask more).

Gambir Station: 30.

Thanks[/QUOTE]Others may find different experiences, but I generally pay the ojek driver what I would pay a bluebird taxi (on a good traffic day), which you seem familiar. The benefit is you get there in half the time, sometimes even less.

I haven't used an Ojek for the areas you describe, but I think;.

Kings Cross 10-15 k.

Mangga Dua no more than 15 k-25 k.

Gambir, maybe 20-30 k.

Classic is before Gambir but close, so 15-25 k.

Alexis, I wouldn't take an Ojek. For this you might consider a taxi, depending on flooding around the time you are here. Its a tollroad for part of it, and I think better by taxi, but others may have a different opinion. ?

Unlike a bluebird, the time of the day, the demand on the Ojek driver, your negotiation skills. All come into play with the price.

AND something to consider, I have had many an Ojek driver offer to wait whilst you do the deed. They charge a tad more, but hey why not. I once paid 60 k for an Ojek to from Gran Indo Fortune behind LeMeridian and 2 hrs inside and a return trip back to Gran Indo. The truly amazing thing is, after 3 yrs, whenever I see him he asks if I want Ojek to Fortune. How do they remember?

I don't pay for Ojeks up north. So I couldn't really be sure of these prices, but my recent experience is an ojek from BlokM to Maliboro on NYE and paid 60 k. BlokM to Kemang paid 20 k.

I know a girl who pays 500 k a month for an Ojek driver to take her to and from work everyday. From Grogol to Sudirman.

Remember, if its a decent distance negotiate beforehand, otherwise if its under 10 mins, 10 k-20 k works well.
