Its not a joke, but nobody's going to jail. Who will the girl complain to? The police, who will tell her they cannot prosecute someone who is no longer in the country, and even if he was, there is no proof that he took the pictures, nor any proof that the guy who took the pics is the same one (Sir Lance) who posted them online. What will she ask the authorities to do – wait around the Manila airport awaiting the next arrival of Lance? It might be relevant if the girl a) found the pics online that were taken recently, and be) could direct the authorities to that person before he left town. That way they might be able to threaten / extort some money from him.
The website is not hosted in phils. Again, even if it was, who would shut it down? One would have to interest the NBI or such government organization with the ability to get a Court order to shut it down. As the site is hosted elsewhere, its not a worry.
Ya. Nobody is interested in doing anything about it.
The new cybercrime bill here (currently being debated in the Philippines Congress) gives quite severe powers to the authorities to close down websites etc and prosecute people who slander others online and including sites like FB and others. It's only a small step from FB to ISG.
This is one reason why I cautioned a few guys about using some local Senators' names here recently when we were discussing corruption etc.
I think we need to be a bit careful about running off in all directions online.
Websites can be closed down easily enough. I know that ISG has the ability to spring open again in various ways but there are some very talented IT experts here in the Phils who might make life difficult and even take away our our online discussions.
Just saying.
Watch the Philippines news for progress on the cybercrime bill at present.
There is a shitstorm on FB at present about it.

Also they intend to monitor lots of "suspicious activities" among them cyber sex. I can see this being clamp down on illegal operators and freelance cam girls. The question is how much funds are they going to allocate to this and are they going to take this seriously or is it going to be just another tool in oppressing democracy.

After all, Foreigners property, if they have, can be forfeited or fined massively. Foreigners must learn to respect locals right? LOL. That will be the biggest excuse, for prioritising foreigners.
Then again, like the couple who were wrongly accused of murdering the kid Ella Joy (in the Bella Ruby case.) have no recourse other than to be spat upon, threatened with murder and basically their name splattered all over the world.
Oh, BTW, the 'emotional' and 'strong willed' filipinos are on a campaign, to show their anger, by placing a black ribbon across their facebook profiles. As if that's going to work. Don't tell them otherwise.
The point was that you were making money off of sex guides and using the girls' pics without telling them.
You've made a lot of false assumptions. You paint a picture that I'm an evil sex baron, exploiting the girls and getting filthy rich from selling my diaries online. That's just not the case. For a while I decided to charge a very small fee for my diaries so that for people to read them, they would need a PayPal account. It was a barrier to stop the wrong people from reading them. If my diaries were all about making money as you wrongly assume, I would have put effort in to promoting the site but I didn't. Furthermore I was approached by another website offering me money to sell my diaries but I declined because it was a public site. I could have made money but I chose not to because the site was accessible by anyone. Contrary to what you may think, I do have a conscience and I do respect the girls.
I would also like to make a few more points. My website is no longer running and although I used to post pics of girls on ISG with my diary, I no longer do so. The pics I used to post were head shots and fully clothed. The only naked photos I have ever taken, the girl jumped on to the bed and ordered me to take them! I always tip generously whenever a girl agrees to pose for photos and whenever I mention girls in my reports, I change their name.
I warned you over and over again to ask permission but you went ahead.
Again, you're simply wrong. I'm getting the impression that you're not terribly bright. Use your brain to put it in to chronological order. We had a discussion on the Jakarta thread over a year ago and if you re-read it, you will see that I was seriously debating the ethics of posting photos back then. Since then I stopped, not because of what you said but because I felt it was the right thing to do. I haven't posted any photos since so quite where you get the idea that I shrugged off your warnings and 'went ahead' I don't know. The incident in Manila Bay Café harks back to my trip two years ago when photos of my diary were posted on Thommo's site.
I am not the one who trolls the boards for information (Hello Thommo) , and then uses that info to publish sex guides
What on earth you do mean 'troll the boards'? Yes I used Thommo's website, a veritable goldmine of information, but then I posted huge field reports on his site! I even wrote weekly blogs for it! Similarly I use ISG to research trips but every year I post a huge diary. Maybe you were too busy frothing at the mouth to notice that I have recently completely posting a 40, 000 word diary on the Angeles, Manila, Cebu and Other Towns threads? Where does 'trolling' come in to it? I give back plenty to this site which is surely what this forum is all about.
You on the other hand contribute nothing. You've posted 90 times in threads like Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Toronto to help plan your trips and yet only once have you posted anything that even slightly resembles a field report (a very short piece without any useful information whatsoever except 'ooo the girls were ugly'). You take, take, take but you give nothing, so don't lecture me on my use of the forum.
I'd ask you to PM me (as you've done others on the board) to get a link to that review on another board but I'd be afraid that you'd steal it.
I don't know where to begin with this comment. Why is it relevant that I have sent people private messages on this board. Does it somehow all tie in to me being an evil mastermind in your head? Not that I feel the need to defend myself but I have only replied to people who have sent me a PM, usually thanking me for my diaries. And what on earth do you mean you would be afraid I would steal it? You remind me of a kid I used to argue with in the playground when I was about ten years old, who would try to bring lots of other things in to arguments as an act of desperation. I have never 'stolen' anything so please feel free to explain that one to me.
Please don't try to make this about me.
Just to remind you, you called my behaviour 'reprehensible' for 'exploiting' girls and you said that you hoped that I would 'get mine', whatever that means, all based on a series of incorrect assumptions. I do apologise if it seems like I'm now attacking you!
To be honest, I'm confused about your logic regarding exploitation. It could be argued that any of us who goes to Asia to have sex with girls is exploiting them. It could be argued that anyone who takes photos and posts them on websites are exploiting them. But in your mind it's only exploitation if the photos are used to gain money? In which case, why do you use this forum or Thommo's website? Both make money and both include lots of photos of girls.
To clarify, I use this forum to gain information to plan my trips. I then post HUGE diaries on the forum afterwards, giving a huge amount of relevant information back. I used to post photos but I don't any more. Tell me what part of that is wrong.

As for my contributions, once again, please don't try to turn the tables around. It'd be difficult for me to ask 90+ times for how to find a place when I can easily just read it somewhere.
Edit: I was curious so I decided to go through some of my 90 posts and, while it is true that I don't post field reports (I don't have a journalist background like you do), it's far from true that I don't post anything useful. But, hey, nice try at making me look bad.
My issue with you, once again, is that you decided to sell your sex trip reports with their pictures in them without asking for their permission.
You're not listening to what I am saying. I thought I explained this in my last comment but I suspect you are being deliberately ignorant. For a short while I charged a small fee for my diaries which acted as a barrier, so that people couldn't stumble upon the pics. You could say that by selling the diaries I actually protected the girls, so that their friends or family couldn't see them. I did have the opportunity to sell my diaries on a public site for quite a substantial amount of money but I chose not to because it didn't seem right. Contrary to what you think, I do respect the girls.
I also have to say that your talk of model release forms is extremely naïve. I have worked in the publishing industry and model release forms are required whether the publication makes money or not. In which case, if you were to be consistent, you would criticise every single person who has posted photos on this forum. But you don't. Instead you email them asking for contact details of girls you find attractive. You are a hypocrite with inconsistent moral values. You call me out for exploiting girls and yet don't all sex tourists, yourself included? You call me out for not getting the girls to sign a model release form and yet you don't criticise anyone else who posts photos. You go purple faced with rage because you THINK I make money out of these photos and yet you freely admit to reading ISG and Thommo's website, which publish photos of girls and make money. Your morals are all over the place.
Ahhh, thanks for remembering about Thommo. You used his site and this site and who knows what other sites to plan your trips. No worries about that. I was cheesed off when you decided to package that and sell them off. That's not really giving back is it?
What on earth are you talking about? What is wrong with researching extensively before I go away? Isn't that the clever thing to do? Surely that is the whole point of these forums. You do it as well. The only difference is that unlike you, I post my findings when I return.
How can you possibly say that I am not really giving anything back? I've just posted a 40, 000 word diary on the Philippines threads! On my last trip to Phils I posted a 35, 000+ word diary. I didn't make any money at all from these, I just painstakingly researched, wrote and edited these diaries to share info. For both diaries I was inundated with positive feedback and PM's saying 'thank you' and yet it's funny how one ignorant hypocrite like you can make me wonder why bother in future.
That's not what I heard.
I'm not interested in your amateur super-sleuthing. It's all terribly 'playground' to me. Whether I send PM's has absolutely no releveance to your original point about the photos which just leads me to the conclusion that you are losing the plot.
I'm pretty sure that people on this thread aren't in the slightest bit interested in this debate. If you do have anything else to say, feel free to PM me and I will respond. I am happy to discuss things maturely but only if you are prepared to listen and accept what I have to say. At the moment you are just being stubborn and not listening, so we're going around in circles.
Whether or not you make money is not the question here. My issue with you, once again, is that you decided to sell your sex trip reports with their pictures in them without asking for their permission.
Sir Lancelot, thank you for the contribution last month regarding your extensive field report. You finished it just as I was leaving for PI, and it was a big help to me, especially the AC part. It will also be a big help for others moving forward. I've been following your posts for awhile, and you seem to be a well-mannered, intelligent contributor to the boards.
You and Danibbler obviously have some history going on the many of us don't know about, and probably don't want to know about. FWIW, I'll give my opinion on the subject of posting pictures of girls. On my recent trip, I did take some pictures of my girls to document my trip. All were fully clothed, no porn or nudity. Now some of these girls I really liked, not in a "love" type of way, but I simply clicked with some of the girls and consider them friends. I made a conscious decision to not post any pictures of these girls, even though some are cute as a button. There are some ethics involved in my decision. That was my personal decision, If others decide to post photos, I'll look at them.
I see that you have considered the ethics of publicly posting photos, and that at one point you did post them, but have since changed your mind to not post them publicly due to the ethics of it. I support that. You also seem to regret posting them in the past. That's cool. We all make mistakes and learn from them.
Danibbler, it would be great if you and SL could just drop this. It sounds a little moot since SL is no longer posting photos and not selling his diaries anymore. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your comment. I think one of the surprising things about the mongering lifestyle in Asia is how fantasically good-humoured, open and friendly the girls are (when compared to prostitutes from the west). I think these girls are amongst the most sane, level-headed people I've met! These girls have a tough life and make big sacrifices, often for their family, so I like to treat them with the respect they deserve.
