Both establishments offer legitimate spa and massage services and probably the credit card statement will show a Spa. Google for telephone contacts

Have tried Caesar several times over the years and used Jin Hua once many moons ago. I was sorely in need of a shower and shave yesterday and so popped into Jin Hua to check out things (as there have been good reviews here). I had my shower/shave/sauna thing then thought, as one does, that I'the move on to see what else was on offer. I went into the relaxing area where the food was served; settled down and had a drink and a bit of food. I waited for the inevitable kindly offfer of 'special' services but none came. After sitting for about 30 minutes a reasonably attractive woman came over and asked if I'the like a 1hr body massage for NT$2,000. This really put me on the spot; too cheap for the real deal but far too much for a ligit 1hr rub-down. As I was not aching for an empty, and being curious about what was going on I agreed. I was taken to a large open room that was adjacent to the dining area; I could literally hear the diners talking. I was then given an hour of fairly lame massage. No offer of anything more interesting came. I walked out confused.

Obviously I did something wrong. Was I in the wrong area? Miss a code-word or something? Happy to go back but don't want to make the same mistake twice.

Stareway - I don't think the 2000 ever buys anything more than a legit massage... those options are to be found in the 4300ND category... in fact, one time, after I received the special, that same attractive woman came over to me and offered the 2000 massage, explaining it was only legit massage, facial and body... I declined that time. Looks like it isn't that good a massage even at that!

At the risk of telling you what you already know, if you wanted more than a massage, you should have asked the girl to help you arrange a "special" massage, or for the "full package" as someone else mentioned in an earlier post... the girl offering the regular massage would undoubtedly have headed you to the right person to arrange that. Perhaps it was a fluke when you visited - every time I have been in one of these saunas, as soon as I emerge from the baths to the resting area I am accosted by someone (usually a woman) asking whether I want a special massage... but I assume you should ask for that if it is not offered.

Hello, first time poster on this forum. I am an ABC, visiting in Taiwan. Snake Alley I've always heard is the best place, aka Huaxi Street. That is no longer the case, in fact it is a couple of blocks over where there are women standing on the sidewalk.

If you need to know where to go, ask your cab driver to go to Huaxi St and Guilin St. and then ask him to go to the "red-light" district and he will take you to the adjacent streets where there are hookers on the sidewalk, usually under or near hotels. They are heavily made up and dress in short skirts so you shouldn't have a problem recognizing them.

Dong Feng St runs parallel and south of Ren Ai Rd. If you walk down Fu Shing S Rd from Ren Ai and turn into Dong Feng you will see a barbarshop immediately on your right. This BBS is a front for a full-on knocking shop. There is a range of fairly ropey looking women to choose from. They are 5-6 at best. Cost, if I remember correctly is NT$3,700 for FS but I didn't try to haggle. Once you've chosen a girl you will be taken around the corner and down Fu Shing to a hotel.
