Report # 830 a few pages back has it all.
Just don't go there in a tuk tuk. You can easily walk for example from the night market to sayuri, which will be your best bet.
Gentlemen,
I would appreciate if any one of you would be so kind as to update me on a nice soapy/massage (with extras) in C'Mai. Knowing the cost would also be a huge help bros.
Will be there for the 1st time with the missus on the 31/01-3/02/08. So need some discreet place to finish the deed in quick time.
Cheers,
Ice
Ice Raj,
Its a few years since I went to a Chiang Mai Soapy. I think it was Sayuri, but not 100% sure.
The following web site should be some help including Maps:

That was a long walk from centra dangtawan hotel. I went there once, and tried to remember the road and turning, but guess I toke the wrong turn. They have 1 of the best girls in chiang mai accord to locals there. Thanks again.

I may have done similar and ended up at Pandora many years ago. But no matter the girl was good. I ad a limited window away from the ex-GF so had to rush too.
"dangtawan" didn't seem to gel as being properly Thai, so being a pedantic type, I looked it up. Hotel is actually called "Centara Duangtawan". Duangtawan is one of numerous ways that Thais refer to "the sun". Duang by itself means star, planet or heavenly body :), and so is a common Thai girl's name .
Went by the Nimmanhemin Rd Soi 13 houses yesterday and found them demolishing the blue steel door house. It was just open two days before. Not sure if this is the end, but it sure looked like it. The area is developing rapidly and it may be the end of the brothels in the area. Any other houses in the city similar to these, in Santitam maybe?
That is not good news!
Was there about a week ago. Will take a drive by tommorrow. The 2 karaokes next door can be very hit and miss. No beauties at the chicken farm but consistent service and cheap.
The area is fast becoming the most expensive part of town. Figured it would just be a matter of time that they would be gone. But then where are the locals going to go for their cock fights?
Going to 2 new (for me anyways) local places this weekend. Will let you know. One place on the 1st ring road. And one just off Chung Puek near the North Computer stores. Open at night but a few of yings standing outside and christmas lights strung about.

and has had a name change since you were there and is now called Centara Duangtawan. I think I stayed also under the old name and found it very good.
As with many things here, all is not what it seems at first: the blue steel gate house on Soi 13 is actually still in operation despite appearances to the contrary. Drove by again for a look, and lo and behold, I saw mamasan waving me in from a crude gate at the back of the demolition site. Same girls, same abysmal rooms, just a more cramped staging area. They are building a new place out front that may or may not be an updated version of the old, but I can't understand Northern Thai or Burmese which is what the girl seemed to be fluent in. Had to run, but will quiz mamasan when I next week.

Funny I had the same, same.
Stepped through the construction after seeing 2-3 Thai guys going in. Girls sitting in the back around the roosters The smell about the same! But still the same prices. Hopefully with the upgrade that does not change. My fav, Mae Sae ying, said she thought it would be done within the month. With the price of RE in the area I still think it can't be long before it gets sold for new development.
Met a young Brit yesterday that has a full scale office/rest/shop development going on at the bottom of Soi 7. Can't believe what he told me he paid for the rai!

Only just that the connecting doors between rooms are totally not sound-proof. You can hear clearly whats going on next door. So cover your girl's mouth while doing the act. :)
I will heading to Chiang Mai in a few weeks and have been searching for a suitable, moderately priced, place to stay for a few days. Galare looked interesting and seemingly in a convenient neighborhood. Have you stayed there? Is it guest/girl friendly? Any other recommendations? The other place I have looked at is Pornping Tower Hotel and Royal Princess.
Any comments?

Avoid At All costs
I tried this place twice while in CM and was disappointed both times.
The place is your regular shithole: Old and rusty bar with a back room and 3 mattresses that they use for Oilys.
First night I went in, a cutish girls took me back for an oil massage. As soon as I entered the back room and lied down on the mattress, a putrid smell attacked my nostrils, as if the towels and pillow cases had not been changed in weeks! I told her there is no way I would lay down on this filthy stuff and she giggled, left adn brought back some fresh towels.
Massage was bad (as expected), and she only offered HJ. I refused and asked for a BJ (at least) but she said she did not like it. She pressed for a HJ but I told her I can do that better myself (since she did not even want to strip her clothes). I left the place with a Hard on.
next day, afternoon, i walked back on loy kroh and passed in front of the thirsty beaver. the lady i had previously was there and jumped out of her seat to meet me in the street, she kissed me and asked me if i wanted a massage? i smile politely and told her i was looking for a blowjob, she smiled and pointed towards her friend: "she can do!". i was completely speechless, the girl actually pointed towards a 70 year old lady who looked like she was 90. now i have said in the past that i liked experienced and mature ladies but, this would be pushing things a little too far.
there was another girl there, a little "pumpuy" but smiling at me. i took her.
believe it or not, the old lady did look disappointed i did not pick her.
the girl started with a lame massage that lasted 10 minutes and then moved to balls fondling, while telling me i am handsome man and she want to come to my hotel and be my girlfriend. i, of course, did not take her up on the offer and quietly enjoyed the balls massage.
while i gently start to peel off her clothes, she asks me "how much you pay?" to which i reply "1,000 for blowjob + body massage", she nodded, indicating the price offered was satisfactory.
she gave a lame body massage and a very lame cbj. after 5 minutes of cbj, she removed the condom and started a hj.
she also reminded me that there was only 5 minutes left.
i smiled and told her that she had 2 options:
1. continue with the hj and i would only pay her 500
2. resume the bj and she would get the agreed 1000
she tried to play offended and get me to pay 1000 for a hj but as she realised i was not buying into her bullshit, she proceeded to another cbj.
took me 20 minutes to finish and she complained, saying that i should pay 2000 because she worked so hard. i smiled and handed her 1000.
she was happy anyways and asked me which hotel i was staying at and what room so that she could pass by later that night. i pretended not to hear her.
they tried to charge me for 2 hours massage but i explained to them that as i was the only customer, they technically did not lose any potential revenue. the bartender (a man) told the lady that she should charge me only for 1 hour (i guess he remembered the 100 tip i gave him the night before).
thirsty beaver is a rathole. avoid.
Hi Mick & Islandboy,
Thanks for the heads up bros. Will provide an FR if I am lucky and manage to escape the missus.
Cheers.

LOL. I can identify with the bit about doing a better HJ myself. Have plenty of self HJs when not in a good mongering country.
Now you could have been investigating the top Oilys or Soapies in Chiangmai instead with nice BJ and FS included.
My last trip to Chiangmai was with the GF and we had a fullish program so didn't get to investigate anything (mongering wise) :(.
