It is too bad that D&D had this bad experience. But, I can't help but think what did you think was going to happen?

The girls that we come in contact with, even the young sweet looking girls have experienced life at a hyper level. They have a different perspective on life than most women twice their age. They can not help but associate American and European men with money and nothing more. The Brazilian guys don't give them money like we do and they treat them like we treat women in our countries.

So why wouldn't a beautiful Brazilian woman who makes her money having sex with men try to get the most possible money from a man that is willing to give? Why wouldn't a woman ask for the world? It has always been my position that the women who make the most money make money NOT because they are beautiful but BECAUSE they give you the illuision that they love you. They know how to give the illiusion that they are having sex with you because she likes you and NOT because you agreed to her price.

This thing that we do can be great. But as D & D found out, if you don't treat it for what it really is you can dump a lot of good money after a REALLY bad investment!

Does anyone know the schedule for the bus that picks up at the airport & heads out to zona sul? Does it leave at a regular schedule or whenever they get a certain # of passengers? I'll be arrivng at 11am on a Sunday.

I don't remember the exact amount of ticket cost, but is arrounf US$ 5.

Every half hour when I used them earlier this year. Schedule going back varies with traffic (though I'm told you can phone to see how far along the route they are). I think they tend to leave on the half hour or quarter hour from GIG but I'm not sure. Given the time variations with traffic, 15mins doesn't matter very much. No, they don't do the Indian trick of waiting for them to fill up.

The idea of a PI agency for gringos has a major flaw. Paying someone to kill you when you are investigating is just too cheap. And no-one is going to help a gringo PI against a tightly knit community.

If someone screws you, my own attitude it let honest people know - subtlely and without accusations. Making accusations can get you in hot water and without getting any results. The best way to get money back is to convince them that they made an honest mistake (even when they didn't). Getting angry just destroys your street cred, especially if you don't get anywhere (ex-boxers excluded).


Example (from March this year) -

I'd been frequenting a particular casa at Mimosa. I'd been through most of the girls there that fitted the body-type I especially like and one or two of the others. I made it my base for a few weeks (in terms of drinking and hanging out inbetween sessioning there and in other casas) even though their bar prices were slightly higher. There were no jealousies. Excellent vibe, with all the girls and the people behind the bar. Several of the girls were well chuffed that I gave them some carnaval photos of their favourite school.

I don't think I have, but it's pelting down and I'm getting drenched, so I think for the sake of 3R I don't care. No, she says, it was four drinks. I am pissed off but stuff an extra 10R into her hand to get away figuring I'll straighten it tomorrow.

Now I never run up a tab. Ever. I mostly consume soft drinks. I knew exactly how many drinks I'd bought, including one for a girl and one for fat dyke. I was wondering if someone had been cheeky and claimed I'd agreed to pay for drinks.

Next night, I take a pen and paper and list the drinks I had and when to fat dyke. She says I forgot to pay when I went for boom-boom. No way. Forgot to pay for which drinks? And, for someone who had been around for hours, in and out of the bar, she had never asked me to settle up till I left in the rain?? She didn't have an answer but stuck to her story. Moreover she told everyone of the girls in the bar. One of them tried to signal me, but it was obvious there was no way they were allowed to disagree.

I left it a few days. I figured, I'm well liked and respected there. I have never given any reason to think that I would chisel them for 12R. Dyke girl is new. Who do they really believe?

Another example (for those of you who read of how I got robbbed - yes robbed, not beguiled into GIVING someone money). I went back to the casa with a stern face and asked after the girl I believed responsible. She wasn't there. I said to the other girls that she was a big safada, but it was obvious from my expression that I meant something else. I asked the casa number and asked who worked there regularly. I repeated my comments to her face when she returned. She gave an unconvincing performance of not knowing what I was talking about. But I think everyone else did.

Believe me, I've tried other tactics. Even another Brasilian who is not a carioca would likely be up against it if they accused a local. If you've got a lot of friends and a lot of money, you can maybe - just maybe - get locals to do something [i]for you[/i] if they are convinced by hard evidence and morally outraged. At best, I've had a doorman 'negotiate' a middle figure when I got into an argument with some Karla duplas over taxi money due. Brasilians like resolutions where everybody stays at least a little bit happy. Bondjamesbond gave excellent advice.

If your story is true, sorry but you are a fool twice over: Firstly for being fucked over by the girl for 18 months, and secondly for trying to get revenge publicly on the website you created to 'out' her - which will fuck you over for the rest of your life.

PS - a quick search shows you made a similar post nearly a year ago. Hmmm.

This is funny, I was just talking about this with a Rio veteran. He said the biggest problem would be people selling me out to the garotas. I wouldnt be surprised if the guy who paid me to find out about his girl would go back and tell her exactly who he paid to trail her.

My friend and I were trying to figure out the best way to get around this problem. How could I do the work clandestine from both the GDP and the paying customer? Maybe hire a secretary or a middle man, so the monger never meets me directly.

Right now I am still in the brain storming aspect, but i truly believe that this would be a very lucrative business. There must be dozens if not hundreds of guys from all over the world, who are sending money to a GDP in brasil. Long time lurker, thought I'd add my two cents. I saw the site as well.

First off, sorry you had to go through that DD. That really sucks. I hope you don't get too jaded from this experience, chalk it up as a learning experience. In the big picture, you made out good. You lost 40 large, but it sounds like you're doing pretty well if you've traveled to over 25 countries and can afford to drop 40k like that. 40k is a lot of cash, but at the same time, it's just money. How many months does it take you to make 40k? Two months? Four months? You get the idea. You came out of this with no marriage, no kids, a lot wiser. Can you imagine if she was just a bit savvier and you never found out and the married her one day? You'd be looking at a lot more than 40k, I think. It sounds like it may cost you to go back to Brazil in the future, but that's not that big of a deal IMO. Like someone else advised, lay low for a while.

It is my opinion DD was really emotionally invested. Think about it. Why would he drop 40k, why would he put out this site that doesn't help him, can only hurt him (which is exactly what happened). It's one thing to drop 2-3k on a chick, fly back to see her, then find out after 3-6 months. 18 months, 40k. That is definitely harsher IMO. With that being said, DD, just a thought. How does what happened to you any different from a man marrying a woman, giving his wife everything emotionally and financially for 20 years, then find out she was cheating on him, then her taking half of all his assets and half of all his future earnings? When put in that context, it's not THAT bad. You'll be okay.

There have been a few posts lately where the actions of DD have been met with disdain. Personally, I don't think there's a right and wrong here, it comes down to what your philosophy/worldview is toward what the girl did. Many (probably most) would view her actions as nothing to write home about really. She didn't break any laws, she certainly didn't rob him. She did what all the GDPs do, she told him what he wanted to hear, lied to him, etc etc. This happens all the time, maybe not to the tune of 40k, but you get my point.

A few others may believe what she did to string him a long for that much and for that long was extremely unethical. Reading over that last sentence is in many ways comical. Talking about ethical standards when it comes to GDPs and money. It makes me think of a comment I heard from a girl I met at a hostess club. We became friends and I asked her one day why she lies so much about everything. She exclaimed, "How could I make any money if I didn't lie? " It's not the same thing, but you get my point I hope.

In some ways, what happened to DD is no different from meeting someone who pitches a business venture to you. You end up giving him 40k cash with no written contract within the first week or month you meet him. It turns out to be a total scam, and he takes off. He didn't break any laws, he didn't 'steal' your money, he snookered you, period. Is he to blame for being so callous or are you to blame for being so dumb? IMO, I think what DD went through is way more painful because he was emotionally involved. Hence the website. Hurt, which manifests itself into anger. I truly believed DD really cared and loved her really invested his heart into her. After all, if he didn't really care about her and she was a just another b*tch, I don't think he would have put that site up. It could only hurt him more. Personally, when a man is this hurt, I make concessions to him. It definitely wasn't smart for him to put that site up, but when you're hurt that bad, sometimes you just stop thinking rationally and just want retribution.

I know most of you will disagree with me, but I have no sympathy for that girl. What she did was, although standard protocol in the P4P world, is still deplorable. I'm not saying I wouldn't do that if I was her. Hell if I grew up like her in her environment I'm sure I would have done the same thing. In that sense it's not fair for me to judge her since I didn't grow up and experience the things she went through to make her the person she is today. But I will say this. She deserved whatever is coming to her. She f*cks with a guy to this extent, no sh*t if he is a man with any kind of pride or has any kind of ego he will lash out. Because of her actions, any dude she dates or marries in the future, gringo or not, if someone googles her name, they will learn she is a p*ta. If any of your family googles your name, if your kid googles your name, they will all learn you are a p*ta. She made her bed and will have to sleep in it. For many, this is not fair for her. For me personally, she deserves it 100% for playing him like that.

Again, I understand most of you think she did nothing wrong. I'm just saying treat people the way you want to be treated, with respect and decency. If you mistreat someone, and you're mistreated back, you had it coming. Just like DD had it coming when he was dumb enough to pony up with that much dough, she too had it coming with her deception.

Sorry this post was this long. I was in Rio a month ago, will be going back later this year. Thank you everybody for all the posts, it definitely has been a learning experience.

PS DD. If you really love Brazil that much, you should think about (I'm not saying to do it) making a deal with her or her attorney where you agree to take down the site if she drops all charges. That site, which was the cause of all these legal problems, may ironically also be your way out of this mess. As I mentioned earlier, if the site stays up, anytime anyone googles her name (boyfriends, husband, family, kids), they will learn she is a pu*a. For the rest of her life. She should realize the ramifications of this and if she was smart, she would agree to your proposition. If you really want to play hardball, part of the agreement would be for her to send you a check for the little time your attorney spent/charged you to write up this settlement.

Now that I have that lie out of the way, let me begin my lecture.

After rushing home from work to read the next chapter in this soap opera I was not dissapointed. Very interesting reading, and by your writing I can assume you are somewhat booksmart. But don; t you think that maybe this has spun out of control? You may have legal issues in a foreign country. I would be doing some serious introspection if I was ever in the position where I could not enter a certain country for fear of legal action.

Now that website. What are the actual chances that it would actually benefit someone other you help you assuage your anger? No one is going to randomly stumble on that site and say "Oh my god! There she is! "

I am actually surprised by the number of guys here who said they have been takin also. Damn. This was like the day I found out there was no Santa Clause.

Anyway, I would never defend a puta who took advantage of someone. No matter what her circumstances. Right is right. But by going over the top you have sucessfully turned the villain into the victim, and vice versa. (not in my eyes though) Close that chapter of your life and look at it as a VERY expensive lesson.

Ezinho, I couldn’t have said it better. D&D stated that this women took him for $40K. After things go bad he hired a detective to research her and some guy from Italy name Mario, so he could warn Mario about her. He created a website dedicated to her for wronging him where he states Mario was in the picture all along. He is now going to pay an attorney to represent him in a slander case, so he can continue to visit Brasil. All that and he didn’t think to buy a subscription to ISG to see if maybe someone has posted a photo of his love? Although it really doesn't matter since, he was aware she was a prostitute. All I can say is that he has more money than brains. He certainly picked an appropiate screen name.

Whether this story is true or not, one thing is for sure. It certainly made interesting reading. Probably would make a good movie.
