I was at LDV 10 days ago on a Weds night and Thurs nite. Place does not get girls there until 11 pm. Ratio was good, about 4 girls to 1 guy. The Perla casino was redecorated next door, looks better, but no slot machines, maybe they will come in a few days.

I just booked a flight MIA-CTG for $425.15 roundtrip, it was the best I could find. By the way, the return flight back to Miami is direct on Wednesdays and Sundays, other than that it is "via" Bogota.

I am ending 11 yrs of travling to Brazil because I have mastered it. (North & South), experienced 4 Carnivals.

Can I rent a studio apartment in a working class neighborhood. How much per night.
I would like to visit small towns outside of Mede, Cali, and Bogo.
I am doing as much research & reading of this site as possible.
Can you please post the 5 star places to find 9's and 10's in Cali, Bogo & Mede.
Would you recommend long distance bus travel from different cities?

That was a very nasty story about a street ho and another good reason why I stay from that type of trash. Hope a cold is all you caught there amigo.
When you think of it the chicas asking for $150K COP toda noche is not that bad of a deal and I usually smoke their weed too...LOL. Better deal for me. Next time I think I'll ask them to wash my socks and jocks in the shower. After all I've paid her for the night and I'll just tell her that's all part of the GFE... ;)
Getting the chica to supply the herb adds value!!!! I usually throw in a few pesos (they can get it WAY cheaper than you can) , but I also refuse to pay more than 120 for all night. I do give a few regalitos as a tip on top of that, but if the chica is THAT mercenary and hardened I'd rather find another one any way.

NO, that is not true, that IT HAPPENS well...... Peter.
NOBODY has EVER told me ANY amount of coke is legal (not that it matters as I would stay FAR away from that anyway).
I have read in some places, and been told by people in the know, that small amounts of weed is "legal" (people sure smoke it VERY openly in some places in Cali & Medellin) but that Uribe (likely due to US pressure) wants to change that. As a foreigner, you may be ripe for extortion if caught so GREAT caution is certainly necessary if you choose to partake in Colombia. Also, despite the origin the quality is NOTHING like you can find in California, British Colombia or Amsterdam.

And yes, you can ruin your vacation if caught, and don`t even think about taking a SOUVENIR of this kind home.(Pot, Coke, Pills, Heroin, Etc.)

I am going to be staying for the first time at the Hotel Caribe in Laguito. Do any of you know the guest policy at the Caribe – will I be able to bring my new friend(s) from LDV home with me with no hassles?

I doubt that,for years the Hotel Caribe, has been known as a very traditional family oriented classy hotel. And UNLESS that has changed, I realy doubt they will let your girls in.Peter.
