Last night, I went cross the border for some panocha. I have been going to Tijuana for 25 years, and for years have been parking at the dumpy motel next to the JITB. Now, I haven't gone on a weekend night for a long time, but usually was accustomed to paying like $7 on a busy night, $4 during weekdays. I get there at 10 pm, and the guy says $20, I am like fuck that shit, I will park at the lot across the freeway. So I park over there and found out why. The new pedestrian way over totally sucks. Before, it didn't matter what side you parked on, now it does. It is a very long walk now.
Parking an older car at Blue line trolley station would save the $20 but not the same security level as the parking lot.

"Discovered" a taco stand that puts everything in the Zona to shame. It's a one trick pony, but, as Paul Simon said, it turns that trick with pride.
If you like birria de res, this place rocks. A ton of flavorful, slow-cooked until falling apart, juicy beef. Enough that the tortilla can barely hold all of it. Crowds of locals lining up for them, no gringos in sight.
I was only able to snarf down two. I wanted another, but just couldn't eat any more. 15 pesos each. Worth every centavo.

I was reading about the border crossing times. Has anyone tried Greyhound from Tijuana to San Diego? Is the bus station area safe to go in and out of and how far from the HK is the bus station as far as cab cost.
Thanks to the veterans for all of the information. I am going to be there November 2, 4 and 5. Anyone interested in a beer or two and some hunting?
The "new" pedestrian bridge has been in existence now for more than 3 years.

I believe the station is near the arch, and Art 123 (Primera)/ Two blocks from HK. But you will probably have to wait in the bus lane for a few hours. And the bus will let you off at the border gate and you will get out of the immigration crossing building at the greyhound pick-up: to the bus to 12th and Imperial Greyhound station. You may save some time waiting in the bus as opposed to waiting in line to cross, but the price will be (I think) much higher than a $5 taxi ride to the border and a $2. 50 trolley ride to 12th & Imperial Greyhound station.

E. OC or LA.
That station is at the corner of Madero and Art 123 but I don't think Greyhound stops there anymore.

Let me start by offering my sincere thanks and appreciation to you guys who frequent and report on this board! Your reports are chock full of detailed info, which rivals any of the other online communities. After substantial research, which is ongoing, I'm pulling the trigger on a trip next week! Little bit about me, I'm a typical American staring down the barrel of 40 years old looking to have some fun. Relatively well travelled, I'm a veteran USA Hobbyist who knows understands the game and plays it well. I've mongered internationally (few spots in Canada, Europe, and South America), but it'll be my first time mongering in Mexico. I interact with people from different cultures on a regular basis, but only speak English, which I'm trying to change. My grasp of Spanish is very unreliable, and I can't get much past greeting people, and ordering food. I'm not afraid of trying to communicate in Spanish, and I enjoy doing so. I'm a responsible drinker who knows his limits and doesn't get much past that sweet spot twilight spot between buzzed and intoxicated. All this to say (1) I'm not a noob to the game, just the locale (2) I'm relatively well travelled, and know how to carry myself (3) I'm not an idiot or troublemaker.
My chica preferences are physically varied (I like slim, toned, thick, big boobs, small boobs, etc.) but always seek my version of GFE (passionate, DFK, caressing, and 69). I also like the occasional PSE, but don't get too crazy (if I can get in that ano, great, but not a deal breaker if not).
Plans are as follows:
1. Paid membership to ISG. (Complete).
2. Flights set to arrive at SAN on Thursday 10/16 around 1:00 pm, and leave Sunday 10/19 around 8:30 AM. (Complete).
3. Take the trolley and bus to the border.
4. Cross over and taxi to HK.
5. Here's where I'm up in the air. I want to stay in the Zona, but not sure if I want to go with staying above the HK or AB. My goal is to go arriba around 4 times a day for the 3 days I'm there. As I understand it, I can't pull an AB chica and take her to my room above HK and visa versa? Any opinions would be appreciated.
6. Looking to spend most my time in HK, AB, and TB. I'm especially looking forward to bar interaction time feeling up chicas. I'm a strip club guy from way back, and really enjoy the concept of feeling up multiple chicas for a buck tip. I'm still undecided about the SGs, but will likely try it at least once while I'm there.
7. Find one of or a group of you vets down there to hang with if you'll have me. I don't have any friends who are hobbyists, so meeting and bonding with you guys is something I value. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you're up for hanging out while I'm there (10/16 through 10/19).
I'm still RTFF, so this is mostly just to say thank you for all the info, and I'll be the Zona end of next week! Thanks again, guys! I'll be reporting on my experiences, and remember to let me know if any of you guys want to band together.
