In saying that the Senate race is different from the House because "quality candidates" have a lot to do with it, Moscow Mitch essentially acknowledged that even a total crap quality Repub candidate can win a heavily gerrymandered House district race where the Repubs chose the voters rather than the voters choosing the candidate.

Cheney and that other Repub, Kinzinger, apparently predicted the political winds wrong on their Party, way, way underestimating how loony and filled with hate for America the people who constituted their base and voted for them previously really were.
