At pururungang, they will usually choose a hotel for you, based on the fact that they know it is not full. They will give you a map and rattle of some directions in Japanese, but as long as you are used to reading Japanese style maps (eg navigating based on the location of Family Marts, and can read katakana, you will be OK.

You will need conversational Japanese. They conversation with the tencho can range all over the place, and if they get the feeling like you don't understand, then they won't feel comfortable sending the girl with you. Still, if you try it out, the worst thing that can happen is they send you away empty handed.

The shop is OK with the foreign customers, but each girl has the right to refuse foreigners.

A girl's bar is a variation of a hostess club in which the club is legally registered as an after-hours, eating-and-drinking establishment so as to avoid more strict regulations under the adult-entertainment law. Most these bars are totally legal, so no funny business such as the ones in shimbashi and ueno. But the ones deep inside of ginza (two blocks west of the main ginza strip) serves high end customers so it goes underthetable if you want to take the girls out, just ask the mamasan. However, there are two problems, you need to speak very good japanese and you look japanese. Otherwise the door man rarely let you in.

But if you can find the ones in kabukichou and shibuya, there are some more opened by Chinese or korean or Philippians. i have been to this one, as well as a few others, in shinjuku (dx) and yokohama.

unfortunately, it is now fully sanitized, while some decades ago, one wasbe able to get serviced by some of the girls after their show, , or, at least, alllowed to touch, and even finger them on stage.
