Sorry, but it's too funny
...Very soon I encountered mamasans sitting down outside but expressionless at my approach, not a good sign. One whom I enquired with, waved me away with annoyed expression...Rejection by several mamasan is a frustrating experience to voluntarily subject yourself to...
Sorry, but I could not help laughing hard as I was reading your post. Thanks for your honesty! I had the exact same experience in Bangkok, Thermae disco. It was not a mamasan waving me off with an annoyed expression, but pretty Thai girls waiting for Japanese / Korean / Chinese customers. It was frustrating for me given that I had scored big in earlier attempts. I ended putting a cross on that name and never went back.
As for Korean WGs, they are my favorite. However, I would never dare look for them in Korea, too difficult and frustrating. Instead, they come by the plane load here in the US and their attitude is so much better, and no annoying mamasan to deal with. I visited Seoul last year, but I was with a WG whom I met in the US, so I was well taken care of. I was tempted to try my luck there but I did not get the opportunity.
