Sao Paulo – What a place. I've traveled a little bit around the world now and must sat that Sao Paulo is probably the place I've enjoyed most. Reading some of the earlier reports I must say that I was a little bit skeptical on exactly what to expect, but Sampa did not disappoint.

Accommodation. I stayed in Moema, (in the south, near the boarder of Moema and Brooklin). This turned out to be great because I was a short walk from the shopping center and the clubs area.

Currency – I personally found Bradesco to be the best – you have options to select the breakup of notes and as far as I could tell, there weren't any ATM fees, at least not for my bank. You could only take out $1250, but it didn't matter because of the lack of fees for me. Santander was also okay, but a fair few banks don't accept general Mastercard / Visa so if you have a global card you may struggle (which I've never experience before – some banks like Itau, which is huge, really surprised me on this one).

I think reports are for the benefit of new visitors, so here's my 2 p. Let's start at the beginning, as far as I could find, there are a few types of establishments available in Sampa, being Clinicas, Bars / clubs, swing clubs and prives.

A few things for context:

1. My personal preference is a more European / Slavic look (fairer skin), petite / skinnier figure and age wise not older than around 25. I know therefore I'm barking up the wrong tree a little with Brazil, but I'm also still flexible so everywhere I've traveled I've still been able to find someone I like. Another interesting thing to note here is that I know my tastes are still pretty normal in Brazil. I know a lot of guys like the 'big everything' type of girl. But, at the clubs and clinicas I went to, the girls that I liked were often the busier ones (whether leading guys off to rooms or being picked by other guys that was in the reception area with me etc.). I'm not too sure.

I would want my former self to know that the general story is that the further south you go, the whiter everyone gets. A lot of people told me 'If you like blondes, go to the south'. Got it, will do that next time. I know someone else posted in a report here (a former report of distinction) that Argentina is a whiter country. I remember looking on some local boards and not exactly seeing what I was after – but everyone in Brazil seems to keep telling me the same story. Will have to investigate at a later date. Still, Sampa definitely had enough variety.

2. I tried not being a tightass but still don't like spending more money than I really should – especially if the prices start becoming comparable to Western Standards. Factors into my decisions at Scandellos.

3. I'm not really after anything crazy – which I know some people go especially to Rio searching for. But also, the types of girls I usually go for, tend to be more likely to be shy / vanilla than the more experienced workers.

4. This is a big one – On the first night, I visited Augusta, and went to Casarao. It was actually quite empty for Casarao's standards. I found a girl I liked but didn't have enough cash so left to find an ATM. On the way I walked past another club with an absolute stunner, exactly my type (blonde highlights, cute face, sun-kissed but fair skin, beautifully thin and petite figure) and spoke some English. This was the girl I'the been looking for this whole trip! I never made it back to Casarao that night and got this girls number and saw her for the next few nights and went out for dinners and to clubs together till very late, for 1000 a night (she often stayed past noon the next day). This distorted my perception of value for everyone else. If I could have a 9. 5 (for my tastes) for a whole night for 1000, everyone else that was around a 7-8 just didn't have as much of the same appeal anymore.

*Clinicas (or massgem)* – Some are set up as a massage parlor and some closer to a normal 'brother' set up. Run out of larger house / building in a normal neighborhood area. There are a lot all over the city, with a few notable ones in Indianpolis, which is closer for me anyway. Number of girls can vary but I've seen upwards of 20 girls. A varied group (which is good), some can be average, but there are some gems to be found. Notable places:

- Tangara – $150 per hour / session (200 duos for 45 minutes! This place is the cheapest out of the places I visited in Sampa. First time, I visited Tangara a bit later on during the day, so may not have seen the full line up. There were up to 20 girls there I think. There were a few that got my attention, but no one I really jumped at either, so sadly didn't pull the trigger and never checked prices either.

Second time, I visited just before leaving, I had some cash and to be honest Tangara seemed to be the only place open between 7 when most massagems close and the clubs all open at 10. The line up was about the same as the first time but I definitely wanted to do something. Another random note, may be because I went at a similar time, but so many people from my first visit were there again the second time too. Almost couldn't believe it when they told me the prices. The girls I met were quite fun and bubbly, so definitely plus there.

- Red Massagem – 200 per hour / session (about an hour), I was there early but the one girl they had was stunning and one of the best I saw in any clinica, so lucky me. They said they would have 23 girls that day. The receptionist didn't speak very good English but was super friendly.

- Miruna – I really wanted to like this place and went there a few times. But they always had a very small line-up. Up to 5 girls when I was there, no one there impressed me enough either. Didn't check prices.

- Abbobora – 260 per hour / session, this was my favorite clinica, which I found referred to in another blog / site. This place had a large line up of up to 20 girls and a mixed bag so you could find someone you like per your tastes. There were a fair few I was interested in. The rooms are nice too (they trade as a hotel too, apparently). As stated in the other blog, the clinica trains the girls well to try and get as many clients to return as possible.

- Clinica Brooklin – 250 per hour / session (if I recall correctly), this clinica was fine, but nothing that particularly wowed me either. The line up was decent with 15 or so girls when I visited, who were all attractive, but no one that really blew me away either. Rooms were nice enough too.

* Bars / Clubs (many types)*– This includes something as basic as the empty less known bars in Rua Augusta (like the ones next door to Casarao) all the way up to Scandellos. I honestly think quality has a lot of luck involved, I found an absolute gem in a trashy bar and didn't find anyone as good in Scandellos. All depends on the night and your taste I guess. The difference is the number of girls, Scandellos has 200+ where a shitty bar might have 5. But a girl from a tashy club would charge $300 an hour all up (or 1000+ a night) and a scandellos girls would cost 1000 an hour, and I didn't even bother asking for a night.

- Scandellos – Entry was 150 (I believe) which can be used for consumption, which you will use up quite quickly (it basically covers just over 2 drinks). I had dinner here, a few drinks for myself and 2 drinks for girls and ran up 600 (wow). I must say I was amazed by this place, it has a modern 5-star hotel feel, and the check-in area has a (Western) Country Club vibe. The place is properly huge (4 x 4 in Rio doesn't even come close). I kept finding new area throughout the night. There were more women than you could imagine, really, all types and sizes. I don't think the quality is higher than other places, but nicer and more expensive outfits, and this would be the only places some of the classier girls would go. However, despite the numbers there were not too many exactly my type. I found one girl I really like, but after talking to her for a bit, turns out she asks for 800 an hour plus the room fee, so 1000. While the girl who was exactly my type from the night before quoted me 1000 a night. I know these can be negotiable, but she didn't sound very amendable to it, so I just tipped her and went our separate ways.

The thing that confuses me about this place though – at those prices, sure you'll get some coming in and waving cash and spending without a care in the world. But the client to girl ratio is crazy, so my guess is that most girls won't get a client for the night. Another girl even told me that a lot of guys just come to look around. In my mind, this should mean that the girls are better off going to other clubs with more guys (I. E. Casarao) or lower their prices so more guys will actually pay rather than just looking around. Am I missing something here? I mean 500 – 800 an hour (one girl went as low as 500, but that was after I kept saying no – which I meant). You can see some amazing girls in first world countries for those prices (I. E. 600+) and can see other girls for a fraction of the price at other bars – so the girl really needs to be 9. 5-10. Surely other guys feel the same way. Even for a stunner at 500, add on the hotel fee and it's a real killer.

- Casarao – Went here twice, and the girls are quite varied – the cover is only $20 or $40 with consumption so definitely worth checking out. It was quieter on the Monday and Packed on Tuesday. Lots of girls, lots of guys. I went here 3 times, two times alone and once with my gem. Didn't do anything when I went alone (including the time detailed above). But when I went back with her, we picked out another girl who we took with us.

Now, here's some intel some might find useful – the first girl I saw quoted me something around $300 for the hour I believe (which I believe includes $50 for the room). She tried selling some extras as well. However, something to consider is that for the number of people usually at the club, there aren't many rooms, so you may have to wait a fair bit in line to get a room. For exit, the fee is $100, and the girl we picked out charged 600 for the night, although she left pretty early in the mornings at 6.

- KILT – sadly never made it here.

- Love Story. I suggested to my gem that we should go and have a look. She said that it opened up later, was a bit further from where we were and that it was a bit hit and miss. So I took her advice and never made it here either.

*Swing Clubs* – There's a few across the city, with a few major ones located in Indianopolis.

- Asha – Went there on a Thursday (probably not a good day). It was fairly quiet with only a few couples (some I thought weren't bad looking). The club is much smaller and I don't think as interesting as Inner – which has lots of different areas etc. Asha had lots of private rooms, and upstairs area (where there was no one) and one darker communal room and that was all that we found.

- Inner – Quite a nice club, with a large 'normal bar / dancefloor' area. Then there's a cinema, an area with a bus, lots and lots of areas with glory holes etc, a second 'First Class' bar area (which wasn't used during the week) and a maze area (with some semi-private areas) and a communal area for couples only. The first time, me and my gem just kept to ourselves mostly, walking around and exploring a little. Lots going on, and lots to explore and watch, which was fun. I didn't really feel the desire to participate for a few reasons:

1. It seemed to us a lot of what was going on was unprotected. Which neither of us really liked.

2. I felt my gem was by some margin the hottest girl in the club and potentially in Sao Paulo, so didn't really feel the desire to switch her for someone else.

Second time we went, we also took the girl we picked at Casarao, so I had an extra bargaining chip. The second time was on Friday, so the place was much, much busier. But, again, not too many stunners in the crowd. My gem made it clear that she would not swap unless the other person also paid her (which was oddly aggressive stance for her, I think she just got too much unwanted attention from single guys). The Casarao girl however, was all game. Issue was – looking around, there was no one who I really wanted. A few couples eyed us off, but were either older, or slightly more 'Brazillian' figure etc.

*Prives* – Basically very basic apartments brothels. I saw one nearby Brooklin to decided to have a look, and basically exactly what you expect. They are just a cheaper, run down clinica, with only a handful of less than average looking girls for very cheap. I know some search these out and try and find hidden gems. I didn't think it was safe / worth my time during a short trip. Clinicas didn't exactly break the bank and it was hard enough to find my type.

*Escorts* – This is a funny one. When I first landed I thought I'the try and find someone to come over. Found a site referenced by another website (something agency with university or something in the title). The line-up looked amazing, with decent prices. I pulled the trigger and eventually someone arrived. A complete bait and switch, she said it was photoshop, but technology has not yet been invented to pull off these changes. I paid her some money for her transport and sent her away. She wasn't happy. I know some people managed to pull off getting some great escorts, but in my mind, there are so many options out there, I just don't think the risk of the bait and switch makes it worth it. Unlike Canada, it isn't one of the primary markets here.

If you decided not to take her, then you should have just thanked her for her time and cordially bid her adieu! There was absolutely no reason to pay her anything. That was money spent for no good reason in my books. If you're not going to take a girl from one of the top-level boites, then just politely end the "negotiations" when they break down and walk away. Same for any locale really, although I see why guys give "bait and switch" tutes a little money. But even then, I feel like they actually deserve absolutely nothing for jerking the waiting customer around. We're not there to stick a dick inside of just anybody who shows up. We want who we asked for. This is why I don't mess with escorts man. But, to avoid a scene, I get it. Pay them something to leave! Here's the thing about Scandallo. Welcome to Brazil, where everything defies logic! Every girl that works at Scandallo drinks the proverbial Kool-Aid. They get brainwashed into having a certain "valor" or price, if you will, and they will stick to their guns and would rather go home with no client than to waver on that valor. I've stuck around until 4 am or 5 am there before and even the left-overs wouldn't budge on price before closing time! Unless you meet some newbie there who hasn't had the chance to drink the Scandallo Kool-Aid yet, they're all pretty much going to be stubborn and irrational about their pricing. The overhead at Scandallo is just too high as you're already in for [NOPARSE]R$400 (R$200 entry (after 7 pm) + R$200 room) [/NOPARSE] before even adding on the price of the girl if you decide to take her to the room. The take out fee is [NOPARSE]R$250[/NOPARSE] so it's not much of a better bargain except you get to enjoy her in the comfort of your own place.

I think they get like a 15 percent discount for food there. If they stay until 5 am, they receive a "convite", which is a voucher to work there for free the next day so it's in their best interest not to leave early if they are regularly working there and not some short time, out-of-towner looking for a little cash. So maybe their mentality is "oh well, nobody took my offer today but I'll stay till 5 am and not have to pay a fee to work here tomorrow and maybe tomorrow, somebody will take my [NOPARSE]R$800[/NOPARSE] offer". Last time I was there in November, a Sao Paulo local recommended a place called Casaroa Augusta to me, has anyone heard of this place of know anything about it?
