Seeking local long term parking on the green / blue Line
Seeking info for a safe paid parking lot for long term parking (6 days) close to the the GreenLine/Blue Line in walking distance. Closer to old town/Little Italy and downtown okay but not the San Yasidro border.
Thanks in advance.
Quick restaurant recommendation
Rocky the Flying Squirrel, and I, headed to Playas on Saturday. I was looking for that place, Terraza Vallarta, that was featured in Anthony Bourdain's 2012 Baja episode of No Reservations. Well, I found the place. Or, more accurately, where the place used to be. The giant Titanic is still atop the building but the place appears to have suffered the same fate as that benighted ship. Bummer.
But, a few doors down is a large place called LOS Arcos. There's an upstairs and downstairs, both with tables and a long bar along the back window so you can eat and look out at the ocean.
They have an extensive menu but, for me, the fish ceviche tostada was the standout. A tostada "shell" piled with a huge mound of fish ceviche (fish, cucumber, tomato, red onion, etc.) and a slice of cucumber on top. Squeeze some lime over the top, slather on as much hot sauce as you like and you're stylin' I managed three before I had to throw in the towel. The best part is that they are only 10 pesos each.
Rocky's filete al diablo was expertly cooked but, for me, the sauce was a bit on the sweet side. It had enough heat to make it interesting.
As a bonus, if you're into very loud, live, Norteno music you'll be very happy here.
It's not the only place in Playas, but it's worth checking out if you're in the area.
Oh, and later that evening we spent a few hours downing a few caguamas in Zacazonapan. Great place to chill, great jukebox. The trip to the men's room is like walking through a Grateful Dead concert.
You need to explain that one

Hats off to you artisttyp!
Thanks so much for putting up with me for a week to show me the ropes in Tijuana. As you know, it had been more than twenty years and I would have never returned without your inspiration. Great times, great food and great women. I shall return!
Whenever you're in LAS, EZE, or MDE, mi casa su casa.
God's speed on the relocation.
