This might be old news to many, but I just revisited SiYuan Sauna today after two years and I can confirm it is still open in the exact same spot.
Even though the hotel below has changed ownership and undergone extensive remodeling, the third floor has not been affected.

I contacted Jimmy through wevhat, he sent me some information on how to reach the club. The description was a bit of, but he made up for it by coming out in the street bringing me in.
The rest was as expected, very nice line up, good service and OK price.

SiYuan update. I was back at SiYuan again on Wednesday and just want to share some of my experiences.
I paid cash on Monday so I did not run into this problem.
But on Wednesday I tried using my US issued VISA cards.
And both my corporate card and personal card (issued by different banks) was declined.
The cashier said it is not unusual that foreign cards get declined, I did not have enough cash on me.
So I was escorted by an employee to the nearest ATM (there is a bank next to the hotel building).
Fortunately, my cards worked at the ATM and I was able to withdraw enough cash to cover the bill.
Otherwise, I really don't want to find out what would happen if I cannot pay for the bill at a sauna club.
I haven't been to SiYuan for awhile, but I remember in the past I have had no trouble using US VISA cards at the club.
Seven hours later I get a call from my private banker from Seattle wishing to verify whether my card has been stolen.
Because my failed attempt at using the card actually triggered a fraud alert. Oh well.
Just wondering if anyone else has trouble using their cards at clubs lately?
BTW, I spent some extensive time with an ear-cleaning lady numbered 502.
She really does a through and comfortable cleaning experience on the ears.
However, what is more surprising is that she told me she is transferring to Bodi the next day.
I asked what is her number at Bodi, she said she does not have one yet.
And after some hesitation she told me she will become a full service lady there.

The naughty business operated out of two 5 stars hotels in Hefei. Prices were from 880 to 1680 rmb The operations were 2 years old, supposedly brought in 10 million rmb a year. 120 police officers were brought in from out of town for the raid. 82 people were arrested, including 37 johns.
Such local raid in smaller city made national news. I thought LE wants maximum publicity out of any raid. That was why I was wondering what had happened during the latest harsh storm watch in Shanghai.
Another observation is that the ring was supposed to be a big profitable business with connections, but that did not save them from the bust.

Later, when I told my Chinese friend, they inform me that they do not like to use CC because they can use cash anyway the want. They will try their best to get the cash.

If they did catch 37 john at peek time its likely they do this amount at least *2 or *3 a day... its probably more like 20 or 30 m.

When police is coming from out of town its much harder to get advanced report. Moreover they usually send plain clothed officers undercover to nullify the inside defense system. The undercover cops move first to catch people in the act and backup comes in to protect the under cover cops and lock the place down.
When the authorities have really decided to shut a place down nothing can stop them except bad luck. Or connections including with Beijing & other province vice squads.
This is why most of Minhang is still closed down since Jan 7th. Many people know better than to take the risk of being opened and getting the visit from unannounced visitors.

Some of the lovely providers have gone home for a needed rest and to kiss the husband and baby for a change. Some are returning, though and will have new energy. Nothing like having some regulars. Check out the Bali Bistro near the metro stop.
I have had good experiences in China in several cities during years and I always feel safe.
Maybe overconfident I missed to read these pages and I missed any common sense. Few weeks ago after being several times in Xin Tian Di and in Nanjing Road. Pedestrian (between People Square and the Bond) where I saw many people offering services to tourists (now I know they are Touts scammers criminal bad people), even when the police were nearby. Stupid me I felt confident.
I accepted following one of them to a place (almost in the corner of Dianchi and Yuanminyuan) and my experience was horrible. First they charged me the fee for regular service, and at the end a threatening guy came, and demanded a large amount. I said no. He became very threatening (fight attitude), even pushed me and called his friend. It was very scary, the confrontation lasted several long minutes. Since I was alone and inside their place I imagined they could do anything bad to me and nobody would ever know. I finished giving him 800 and I was happy I left and I was not hurt and alive.
I noticed that in those two places (Xin Tian Di and Nanjing Rd) the Touts follow all tourists, and the police there see that and do nothing. Some people like me lack of common sense follow them and get in horrible trouble. The incident was several weeks ago but I still remember clearly each second of that terrible moment, and the stupid guy threatening me, it is a horrible memory-feeling.
Right after the incident I went to the police station (Ningbo Henan), three blocks from the incident. I talked to the police there (female police) but she offered no help, I even believe Police know and do nothing.
I believe Shanghai is a good place but common sense is a must like in any place in the world.
Please never follow the touts as many people already mentioned in this forum.
I also hope the police there starts being honest and protect the tourists, or they will forever have a bad memory of the city and the country.

But its gets a bit confusing as the scene looks totally different from my country.
And being a first timer in a new country is always scary, so if you can suggest any place or street name to focus on, your help with be greatly appreciated.
