I'm sure senior members here are quite familiar with this area but thought I'd write this for the benefit of tourist and visitors who may be less acquainted with the HK scene. Though this is my first post on the HK board, I'e been an infrequent visitor for years. I've tried Wanchai bars, 141 girls and other options, but none have come close to the balance of quality of service and attractiveness to Kowloon SWs and walk ups, IMHO. This post will cover SWs around the Temple St night market area. Even better are the Kowloon walk ups, but I'll save that for another post.

Last week I was in HK for a few days and stayed on the Kowloon side (to the chagrin of colleagues). I strolled the Temple St night market area a few times and found things little changed since my first visit yrs ago: abundant supply of older, "experienced" providers and a few younger &/ or more attractive ones. 90% are mainlanders but I also met groups of Thai's on 2 occassions (young and pretty), 2 Pinays and a few africans. One of the Pinays was young, slim and quite attractive, while the Africans were all overweight and, well, past their prime.

The active zone is bordered by Jordan (south), Kansu (north), Woosung (east) and Shanghai (west) Sts. It measures 360 M (N to S) by 100 M (E to W) so is easily covered on foot. Shanghai St has both walk up MPs (girls handing out flyers for massage) and street walkers, all mainlanders. It's rare to find one younger than 30, but they can be found, and some of the 30 somethings still look OK to me (esp at this price point). Prices are undoubtedly cheaper for the veterans, but the most attractive girls ask 4-500 for ST.

I had a go with a truly gorgeous 30 yr old from Wuhan who was standing in a doorway on the western side of Shanghai St. Slim and busty, I could have easily believed she was in her mid-twenties. Her plunging neckline displayed a fantastic set of the cups which, much to my relief, did not succumb completely to gravity once the kilt was off. She had a child back home but had given birth via see-section, which meant that the plumbing was still firm & tight. Her tummy was flat and the waistline was really skinny. Service was complete and attentive; she undressed me, lots of oral (I had just bathed) and as many positions as I wanted. The fly in the ointment was that, like most of these places in the Temple St area, there was no shower. Yes, I thought about that while we were in 69, but I simply couldn't help myself. I still hold fond memories of her squatting over me, twin ICBMs in my face while she bounced up and down. I asked for her number but it was her last night in HK, having been there for 4 weeks. Shower or not, good value at 500 HKD.

Ladies are available at all hours in the area, though the best quality and quantity tend to be found in the evening. All are in HK on tourist visas and some really are amateurs. If you are staying in a hotel nearby they'll accompany you to your room. Otherwise they all have a place nearby. 2 yrs ago I found one I really liked and got her number, after which she came to my hotel every evening. They tend to disappear when police stroll the area, though the police usually just tell them to move on and not to loiter. On my last trip to HK in the spring I saw a couple of pimps marketing 4 young Thai girls on Ning Po as I passed by on my way to the 7-11. When I returned minutes later police had the pimps in hand cuffs and let the girls go.

I am guessing that you can speak a little Mandarin. As most mainland girls don't speak any English, and I think come from areas in China where there are few western punters, it can be a little difficult for tourists to negotiate price and services (without any knowledge of Mandarin). Sign language is of course the answer here and a good tip is for tourists to learn the hand signs for cardinal numbers 1 thru 10.

I was at the Bangkok shut down back in FEB this yr now Hong Kong there are only a few trouble spot if you stay away from it you will be ok, I going back next week for the Mega show if they don't closed the airport or the subway we be ok.

Problem is mis-reporting by the media. I was in Thailand at the beginning of the occupy movement and it was number one or 2 story on Al Jazeera / BBC World / Fox News and CNN. Watching the reports made you think that HK was out of control. The news services have unfairly given wrong information about HK. Yes it is an inconvenience in certain parts of HK but its nowhere out of control. Thumbs down to the media.

I used stay at hotels near Pacific Place, like the JW, before I got an apartment in Causeway Bay. From the JW, you can walk underground to the Admiralty metro stop, and just walk to the convention center for that matter. Not much further than Wan Chai and frankly probably more comfortable, in my opinion. The metro seems a little more crowded these days, so I tend to walk more, but not as bad as it was a week ago.

Thanks[/QUOTE]Don't forget that different hand signs are used in various parts of China. In particular, Hong Kong and Guangdong (the Cantonese areas) use different hand signs for 7 & 8 from Northern areas of China.

Foreign countries are not the object of the protest so foreigners are safe as they are not the focus of the protesters. However, they might be the focus of big brother.

As a general rule, if one is a target, take precautions. If one is not a target, the only precaution is just stay out of the line of fire. In other words, don't go looking at the trouble spots. FWIW, traffic is actually better as more people are opting for public transport. A problem spot might add 10 to 30 minutes to a journey. In other countries, a traffic jam can add an hour to 3 hours to a journey. Also, LKF and area have been packed.

The situation is fluid, so keep an eye on the news. Get the English language Radio III app to get news updates.

My 3 friends and I went there recently on a Sunday afternoon about 5 pm. We were immediately hanging out with 4 cute, flirty Filipinas, average age of 30+/ We all danced and partied with them for about 2 hours. The girls were draped over us, and we could grind and hump them easily while dancing. They enjoyed themselves and we were in heaven. The girls had such great attitudes. We did buy them drinks which seemed much higher priced than our own beverages. We wondered what the deal was with the girls and the bar. Are they getting a kickback or credit? It really didn't matter other than we were curious on their deal.

We did wonder how we could score with them back to the flat we rented through AirBNB in Central. My buddies split but I stayed in hopes of bedding my 8/10 cutie. However, I could not get her to go. She sounded and acted very sincere in explaining that she had to be home by 8 pm, otherwise, she risked getting in trouble with her employer. There was no mention of money by her, and I don't know that it would have made a difference. She seemed genuinely sad that the time did not permit for strapping it on.

Questions:

What do those with experience know about the girls at Players? Are there some who charge and others who don't? If so, what is the breakdown percentage wise?

Any thoughts on how much the fare is?

Also, what is their deal with the bar in terms of drinks, etc?

Where else would you recommend beside Players?
