It opens late, after 10 PM is my guess because it was not open when I went around 9 PM, and later that night it was open. It is on the expensive side. The area is deserted at that time, and almost impossible to get taxi on the street when leaving.
Can anyone confirm what the nightlife is like now? I've gathered most bars and clubs close at midnight. That's to our advantage. Girls will be available all night and not in the streets. I bet the ones in the streets will be at the clock tower creating a busier clock tower experience. But what actual clubs reopened? In the car called city, where are all the working girls gathering to meet gringos besides the clock tower? Somewhere like Space Or Dulce Vita. Any boots on the ground insight?

His apartments are guest friendly, most are 2 bedroom (the last time I checked with him the rate was about $75 per night). The buildings in El Laguito are older but may have sea view. The rate is fair. Again, this is not an advice, just my experience.

I suspect you can negotiate a lower rate now (although you're really quibbling over a few US dollars ultimately). Couldn't imagine the rates skyrocketing over the holidays.

That is why I prey nothing bad happened to him since then, besides the tragedy of his business dead so long (and just this can be enough to damage a family).
