Also, proxy servers "go up and down" all the time, and one needs to always get new ones to replace one that goes down/become inaccessbile. To do this, you should Google or Baidu "free proxy servers" and you will be directed to sites which lists out literally hundreds of Proxy web sites for you to choose and try.

But be very careful NOT to use proxies etc to access sites requiring your personal info. just IMHO

I was recently at the Victory Hotel (on Shamian Island of Guangzhou). Note that this hotel was mostly forced upon me to stay there, due to business obligations.

First thing to know is the hotel as East and West buildings that are seperated by about 150 meters and are quite different. There is a lot of construction happening in the area, and there are a big number of married western couples who come here to adopt Chinese babies, so it's more of a quiet family-friendly place, and not much action for monger.

The hotel staff speak English. The hotel is likely NOT girl-friendly. You MUST use your hotel card-key to activate the lift/elevator, and you also MUST have your card-key placed in the door/light/airconditioning recepticle (usually I put a business card into this recepticle, but this 'trick' does not work at this hotel and you MUST use your real cardkey).

I did not have monger time, due to business obligation, and barely had free time to try the Yu Long Sauna, but here is my experience at the sauna.

I agreed to the 300 RMB (298 RMB, acutally) massage service. I was taken to a locker room, changed out of my clothes and given a pair of disposable short to wear, then went for a shower. The male attendant then took me to the footie massage area and said I could add a footie for about 48 RMB. I declined the footie, but they tried to upsell it to me 3-4 times. I declined.

Next, the attendant/manager takes me to a room to meet a girl. She says she is mid 20's, from Chongqing, looks OK, but not great (a '5' on 1-10 scale), but I do not have much time to waste, so I take her.

She begins the massage, and we do some talking... eventually, she massages around my ass and tickling my balls (I am laying on my stomach). She asks me to flip over, so I do.. and she's tickling me. We then agree to FS for 250 RMB (300 massage + 250 fs = 550 RMB total).

She starts with Fire/Ice CBJ, Cowgirl, then we do doggie, then more cowgirl. I then take off the condom, and tell her I want BBBJ, which she does. Then, the good part for me is when I CIM. She did not like the CIM, and pulled her mouth away from me. Oh well, it still felt good, especially because I was in a hurry.

After, I took 1 more shower, changed clothes, put up with the locker-room attendants asking for tips. Final bill was 550 RMB + 15 RMB (for mandatory underwear disposal/cleaning fee!). Total 565 RMB.

When I was at the cashier, there was an (50's) asian man/woman couple (Chinese, I think?) in front of me paying their sauna/spa bill of 2200 RMB (the money counter counted 22 of the 100 RMB notes!). I was wondering how in the hell they can spend 2200 RMB when mine was only 565 RMB!!? Yes, there is a SPA/HotTub service, and other service available here, but my gosh 2200 RMB !?


Overall, I do NOT recommend this hotel or area for monger experience. Near by is the White Swan hotel (1/4 mile; 1/2 km walk), but I do not know if that is any good or not (I suspect it is also not a good place).

If you need to stay near to this area, I suggest may be try the "Holiday Inn ShiFu" (LiWan district of Guangzhou) is a better choice of hotel. It has many more restaurants and shopping very near by. I do not know if Holiday Inn ShiFu is girlfriendly or not.

Holiday Inn Shifu is about 560 RMB; Victory about 400 RMB.

Or, may be it is best to stay near to the Garden Hotel area (Huanshi district) to pick up on streetwalkers, bar girls, etc!

There does not seem to be much action on Shamian Island, IMO (but I had not time to explore, due to business obligations!).

I arrived Guangzhou on March 29 and headed to San Mao as suggested by you seniors. I didn't book the hotel beforehand as I was not sure about the itinary and my am-Chinese business partner insisted that was not a problem at all!

Anyway, San Mao had no top floor room available and they had only one room on 8th floor for 700 RMB per night. The roof was quite low in that room. I left and booked a room at Ocean hotel for 680 RMB and on the same night I booked a room at the same hotel through Agoda for 300 RMB a night! I was elated but the next day they moved me to a different room and that the smallest room I've ever seen in my life without any window.

I was too tired to check out the places for action but the next night I went to Kama at 9. 30 and it was empty. I took a chance as the forum advised to go there after midnight. The next week I checked out the McDonald but there were no WG there and out of desperation I called one girl from dateinasia website who turned out to be a TS!

If you have a problem, most hotels (including Victory Hotel!) will have a TYPE I prong adapter, and/or a voltage adapter if you call the front desk.

Your biggest worry is now about power/electical, but it is about getting access to ISG forums when you are in China/GZ/VictoryHotel.

You are probably better leaving Craigslist alone. This is spoken by someone that has experience. First of all, there is no secret that the photos are fake. With the penalities facing the girls, this is a no brainer.

From my experience, the agencies put the ads on Craigslist and when you call the number, there is a girl, sometimes older girl that answers the phone and the degree of English varies. So you think it is real. If you are not convinced by the girl on the phone. The lady hands over your number to a person that texts you (if it is a cell phone) and pretends to be the girl sometimes. Sometimes the guy, yes I said guy, comes clean and lets you know he is a guy and he wants to know what he needs to do to have a girl sent to your room. Nice little system.

There was another case where the person texted me back, pretending to be the girl. The texts were in English and the grammer wasn't bad, so I am thinking, this girl may be the real thing. The girl that they sent to my room did not know any English and I had to go down stairs to get her, because everyone could tell what her occupation was and they were not letting her come up by herself. Guangzhou is not a good place, IMO, so I hate to be posting about a potential very small BBS, but I'm sharing it if in case some monger finds himself near Victory Hotel (or Holiday Inn Shifu hotel) and desires BBS action.

Directions (from East wing of Victory Hotel). Starting at Victory Hotel, if you exit the EAST wing of the hotel (this is the wing where the door to the hotel is facing the Canal/water, and 7-11 and Sauna are just 50 meters away), you will see 2 sky-bridges that cross the 4-5 lane busy street. 1 skybridge is slightly to your right, and 1 skybridge is to your left. You want to turn to your LEFT when leaving the hotel and walk about 80-100 meters, then turn right, walk across/above the water/canal. Then, turn to your RIGHT and walk about 40 meters to the nearest sky-bridge. This will put you on top of the 'left' sky-bridge from when you left the Hotel.

Directions (from West wing of Victory Hotel). Starting at Victory Hotel (WEST wing), when you leave the hotel you will see a Bank/ATM (ICBC?), turn to your right, then walk straight about 40 meters and walk across/above the water/canal. Then, turn to your RIGHT and walk about 40 meters to the nearest sky-bridge.

Directions, continued: Use the skybridge to cross the busy 4-6 lane road. At the end of the skybridge turn LEFT. Walk about 2 blocks and you will come to ZhuJi Lu/road. Turn right. Walk about 6-7 blocks. You will see HePing Lu crossing in front of you. Keep walking straight on ZhuJi Lu about 1-2 more blocks. The BBS will be on your RIGHT.

It's a small place. I walked by about 4pm and there were only about 4 girls sitting there. Hard to know about quality and price as I was with a business obligation and could NOT stop and say "ni hao" to the girls to find out price, etc.

Also the BBS was NOT marked with any NEON lights. I'm sure it's a BBS, because only thing sitting in there was 2 chairs and a sofa, and 4 girls dressed like BBS girls.

OK guys, I know this is a poor report, but I'm just trying to help point out what I saw. Hope others can find time to follow up if they're in need of action.

This is also very close if you are staying at Holiday Inn Shifu Hotel, but I am not sure of the directions from that hotel.

And also garden hotel. So can anyone give me an advice about these two hotels concerning their distances to Pazhou Center? And any other suggestions about hotels?

2. There are many clubs mentioned here: Tang, Cave, Gypsy King, Kama (or Karma? ), Celler, Hill. Are these all open and is there anything new to the scene? Both the Garden Hotel and Kaying hotel are relatively near to each other, the difference is not much for distance and subway location. Kaying is about 1/2 mile (1km) closer to Pazhou than the Garden Hotel. Both are near to the subway which you can use to get to Pazhou.

All 3 are fairly far away from Pazhou Exhibition Center. I would say that Kaying is closest, then Garden Hotel is 2nd closest, then Victory Hotel is farthest.

I am posting a map of all 3 hotels. On the Map I highlighted White Swan (this is 3 blocks from the Victory Hotel, so substitute White Swan in lieu of the Victory Hotel) and you will have a good idea of the location of all 3 hotels.

If by chance you cannot download the JPG/Map that I'm posting, then all I can say is you should pay Jackson a member fee so that you get full access to ISG (you will also get access to email/messaging to talk on the back-channel to seasoned veterans who sometimes to not always post/respond publicly!).

Garden and Kaying are more more convenient/closer if you plan to use the subway to get to/from Pazhou (there is a subway very near to Garden Hotel and Kaying Hotel).

It you plan to use taxi, then cost might not be too much different (10% more if you stay at Victory or White Swan versus staying at Kaying/Garden).

I will say that right now the Victory Hotel has A LOT of construction going on now (as of 2(?) weeks ago when I was there), and getting a taxi was very troublesome (15 minutes wait because the road to get in/out of Victory Hotel is closed and torn up for construction).

My advice is Kaying or Garden Hotel are your better choices. Across the street from Garden Hotel are "Hill Bar" and 2 other bars (Elephant or Tiger bar, I forget), and near to the Starbucks here you can find 200 RMB streetwalkers.

Near to the Victory Hotel is just the 1 sauna and nothing else around it for girl action.

Passed through Guangzhou and stayed at the Ramada Pearl. Average 4-China-stars hotel with a beauty salon on the ground floor. Went to look for the gym (yes, really) around midnight in preparation for the morning and was almost dragged into salon for "massage" by one of around 10 young ladies in short skirts. I am a newbie visting GZ for only the 2nd time. I really regret not having stumbled upon this wonderful forum earlier. The experiences the first time around were eye opening and stupid too. Really wonderful with RTFF, and i guess i can summarize this entire thread for the newbies but again its more fun reading it through.

Armed with all the wonderful info shared on this thread, and being a beginner with Chinese i only feel the need for some more vocabulary here apart from the Yi Tiao Long ( Yi= one, tiao= ? Long = Dragon?) for "full service" i guess one would also need to ask for the following

Sauna=?

Spa=?

In chinese, can anyone help out with that?
