Gentlemen:

I will be in Delhi end of this month. I've RTFF and it is a bit thin. It seems the only action is HT ads and GB Road. Most reports about HT ads were disappointments and GB Road seems to be a ripoff. BTW, I could not seem to figure out what GB stands for? Is it safe for a foreigner to monger in GB Road alone? Should I just forget about mongering in Delhi?

If any fellow mongers are in town, it would be great to hook-up. Please PM me for details.

OAH[/QUOTE]The full name for GB Road is Gaston Baston Road, but for a century it is known by its initials, so that even taxi drivers in Delhi no longer will tell you what GB stands for, let along most of the people you meet. Delhi incidentally is famous for using acronyms like that for almost everything. GB Road is the well known red-light area of Delhi.

As a foreigner myself, I have been wary of going to GB Road by myself, so I tagged along with a couple of my business associates and did not get ripped off. In many of the buildings where the women ply their trade, the stairways are dark and dingy, and even unstable, so one is always left feeling apprehensive of what is upstairs. However, the little "cubicles" are all right and the more you tip the girl the more she is willing to do. The forum has many building numbers which are accurate, especially 59.

Oh, also most of the decent hotels in Delhi are very strictly non-friendly to bring girls in, unless they look like someone who can afford to stay there.

Thanks in advance for the help.[/QUOTE]Well, the Trident is a pretty good hotel, and unusually low-rise for a business district. There are two bars, one inside and one by the pool, but as is obvious to us foreigners, prices have been set to "upscale" international levels so the bars are pretty expensive.

As long as the girl looks like a business colleague, most hotels in the area are okay with it. Just tell the reception that you are having a friend over for a few hours.

Charlie[/QUOTE]The massage service is at the spa. They charge Rs. 3850 (plus taxes) for 60 minutes and almost Rs. 7,000 for 90 minutes. YMMV, and for a HJ at the most, that is way too high IMHO.

Charlie may be right, if you are a regular you may get more than a HJ, so it is always worth trying if you can spare 100 dollars for the experiment. I am told by my colleagues that the massage itself is really good, however. Please let us know how it comes about.

Please clarify, does the $100 US fee include the HJ or is that extra?

There is no guarantee that you will get the HJ. The 100 dollars is for their standard 60 minute massage session. You may have to discreetly offer a tip for any extras.

Could you please read each and every posting for Delhi on this site first, try out a few of the tips you have been given, report about them and then ask questions for help if you do get nowhere?

Wow, 100 US bucks for a massage! Guys, don't forget, it is still India! With not even half the amount you can have certainly much more fun if you ask any taxi driver to provide you with a nice girl for LT. IMHO!

Just returned from Delhi, stayed at the Trident Hilton, I suspect it is not GF as when the taxi drops you off, you pass at least 7 people that greet you.

I did not encounter any opportunities, went the the Taj Palace and the old Sheraton, the ladies I seen who were not sp's were not at all attractive, Attempted to walk around the neighborhood of the Trident, its dusty and dirty with absolutely nothing to see.
Struck out in Delhi.
