Wish I knew that about 3 hours ago
At the airport a few hours ago and I did not fell like waiting in line for the ATM so I thought it would not kill me to change a $ 10 bill for the taxi for pesos from those bandits. At the window there was a sign saying one dollar =3600 pesos. This was better than the rate I just got at the ATM a little while ago.
25 mil for the taxi to Santa Fe.
Go figure.
I just landed in Bogota on Delta coming from Atl. I tried 2 ATM's and for some reason they didn't have a signal and I couldn't even get taxi fare I've never seen anything even close to that in the airport, in fact it's been years that I even look at the money changers. XE has the official number at 3605 today.
Is walking distance from Santa Fe worth it?
But I am looking for a good value place with no issues with bringing girls near Santa Fe (walking distance) for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
I wonder if the intent is for you to walk into Santa Fe to do at their (seedy) locations or for you to bring chicas to your place? You say "bringing" so let me ask, do you like walk around Santa Fe and chat up the chicas and invite them to come with you? Or do you do a short time at their place to test the waters get her number and then call her to come to you? Is that preferable to you over calling the various numbers published on things like photoprepagos? Would you feel safe with chicas coming to your place which is an AirBnB and not having a porter? Or do most of them have a porter with ID check? Even if ID check on the way in, what I felt most giving a piece of mind in motels, both Kong in MDE and pretty much all in Brazil is that you get a call to your room when the girl exits asking you if you liberate her. That's an excellent way to check that you are (a) alive and sane and (b) not missing any important stuff. I have not much experience with normal hotels, let alone with just private apartments. In Panama there was no check at all when I walked with the chicas into the hotel elevator. In Brazil many apartments have porteiros but many don't do ID check if you bring in guests.
