Imagine the worst summer day in Bangkok -- that'll be a regular summer day in Cartagena. Just like that. I was in CTG in June.

Granted, I'm a sweating hog, but I've never been as miserable anywhere in SEA as I was in Cartagena. Maybe Manaus. Stroke me as very similar weather-like.

Cartagena is a hell of a city, though, nothing like Manaus. I will come again, but in winter. I was told Jan to mid Feb is much better.

However, why do you think the chicas selection will be poor? I thought it was excellent last summer.

And there are beaches even as we speak but you just have t make a reservation, Now this year everything is depending on how long it takes to roll out this vaccine and get things close to normal again. I think by summer it should be well on its way. The economy there has taken a bad hit but I am a firm believer that capitalism will combine with Cartagena being a land of opportunity and it will bounce back fast. May not all the same players in the restaurant and hotel businesses but money never sleeps and it will find its way to open new things to replace the old.

How would you compare Cartagena in October to Thailand. I never really found it unbearable, I just sweat like a pig. And I'm sure the infrastructure in Cartagena is well ahead of where I just spent October, Siem Reap. I usually like to get out of the USA in September.

Planning to take off first of January and stay for 2 months more or less, but still looking for a temporary apartment that is lady friendly.

Based on what I'm reading, not all apartments allow visitors.

I've always worked virtually and literally got used to spending 80% of my time in Asia (Thailand, Philippines, China, HK, Indo, Malaysia).

Came back to the land of no pussy during Chinese New Year last January and have been stuck here ever since.

Balls are swelling up to the size of a grapefruit and can't get back to Asia anytime soon, so I spun the bottle and decided to hit up Cartagena.

Will be my first time setting foot in Colombia, so I'm reading a shit ton of posts here to try and get a feel for it.

I am here now. Pretty much everything is open. Just everything closes at 12.

Arrived Thursday. Immigration was probably the easiest I ever had. Got to the apartment. Had one girl from tinder come over immediately. Then later another I know from before, she brought some party supplies. After we played we went for a simple dinner across the street. By time we were done it was 9:30. I didn't feel it worth it to go to the clock tower or else because I'the only have about 1-2 hours max before I need to head home. So that is a bummer. But plenty of girls on tinder. I will check the clock tonight and the clubs for sure. I heard it's just everyone sitting hahaha.

They take covid very serious down here! Mask 24/7. Temperature everywhere. Even wash your shoes!
