HK is one of my favourite cities and I have been here 4-5 times per year since 2007. That said. HK is also expensive and the number of working girls (especially from the Philippines) has declined since 2007-2008. Very few young girls now. Most of them are 30-35, some over 40. The obvious reply to your post is that you should read the forum. It has a lot of information, but I will give you my own opinion. Mongering advise in Hong Kong depends on what you like. Personally I like to drink and party, listen to live bands, joke with the girls etc. To end the night I sometimes (usually) bring a girl to my hotel room if I find someone I like. Be prepared to pay 1500 - 3000 HKD for the night. This can be fun and Wanchai is the area to be in. The bars and clubs are within walking distance so this is were you should stay. Wanchai has nice bars like Amazonia (great live bands), Hong Kong Cafe, Escape, Neptune III, New Makati etc. All with working girls. The area also have regular bars with no (or less) WG's. It is a great area if you like to party. If you are looking for sex only it is much cheaper with the 141/ Walk ups,. They are everywhere in HK (read the form.). The sex is very mechanical and you will be one in a row of men. I have tried it but somehow did not feel it was a very fun experience. The price is 5-600 HKD depending on girl etc. If my memory is correct. On Sundays there is the domestic helpers (DH) day off. They party in Wanchai and fill up some of the bars. It can be a hit and miss but sometimes you will meet girls that are more than willing! The bars in Wanchai is a bit difficult to understand; sometimes they will be empty and sometimes they will be completely packed. For no obvious reasons. Try it out. You will have a great time!

Note there will be no New Year's festivities at Times Square.

Novotel is nicer than Whatney or Fleming, though it needs key card access to the lift. This is an issue for some.

I'm late to this conversation but count me in among the guys who does not want a shaved pussy. I don't mind a certain amount of trimming but I don't like it bald and a distressing number of Asian girls, especially those who prefer white guys, have picked up the habit to shave it all off. There are many listings on craigslist / backpage. Just wondering if anyone can point to a provider that is known to be really good. Many of the girls are more than willing to let you listen in on their conversation with their significant other. It can be quite interesting.
