Thanks for the welcome. I would have gladly complained to the receptionist if either of the usual mamasans where there but alas I've never met either of these two ladies before. I did get a choice of ladies however, and took the first one, so hopefully there will be a choice next time. I'll double check the room number and let you know. Also, make sure you bring your own CD. Not exactly fun and games, but a very good massage. I agree with Manip786 on this. This place is at No.11, Station Avenue, Colombo 6. Phone 011 2591000. Ask for the Samudra Spa. I paid Rs.2233 for a one hour massage. (That's how it works out with VAT) The girl who massaged me was Dayani, slim and a 6 in looks. Dressed in blouse and loose cotton trousers.

The manager told me later that these girls have been trained in Balinese masssage, which is not as deep as Swedish but is more relaxing. Comparing this massage with what I had from a Thai woman at the Sanctuary Spa, Jawatte Road, I would say Dayani gives a better massage.

After a shower I lay down naked on the massage table, but she covered me with a sheet/towel. At the 45 minute mark I asked about a "shake", but she politely told me that was not possible. I then asked her to massage my buttocks, which she had previously left out. She gave a good ass massage with Vitamin E cream, but avoiding the ass crack. I was willing to give her a tip of Rs.150, but she went off before that. It appears that the girls here are not encouraged to take tips.

I had to go to my favourite Chinese masseuse on Duplication Road for the "finishing touch".

Heard that the new Spa at Cinnamon Grand (former Colombo Plaza/Oberoi) opened this week. It is called the Angsana City Club & Spa.

Let's hope they take a cue from GH & JH provide us mongers some quality service. Keep us in the know if you have a good time there.

Angsana is a world-wide chain of spas, highly respected. I don't think you will get anything more than a legit massage there, at three times the price of Global Towers.
