Sad news, but happens all the time in Colombia. I don't keep up with El Colombiano or El Mundo to be more specific. All I can confirm is that Medellin is the 2nd most dangerous of the large cities in Colombia, behind Cali.

On the real, a lot of those narco dudes aren't flashy. Maybe the younger ones (16 yo-25yo). The older guys, you'll never know who's really who. Take a note from Colombians and just be kind to everybody. It's a learned condition to some, a survival method for others. You just never know who you're dealing with.

As a gringo, you might get cut a little more slack. However, it's still Colombia.

One night me, Clem' and a guy named Frenchie were dining at La Triata (?). There was a table of 20 drop dead gorgeous women, all 9's or 10's. Sure enough, 5 or 6 greasy but not flashy guys show up as it was one of their birthday's. They were obviously mob and given the 'hit' there a few weeks earlier they got the table way in the back away from the sidewalk. They were all pretty serious looking fellas, though.

Okay now what happened to the table of 20 hotties????

I don't care about the smashed nosed guys - what about the women....

Everytime you passed by their table, the girls would eye you up and down and give you that 'come hither look'. In the end, they all left witht he 5/6 smashed nose guys. They were fcuking hot though!

Pretty funny watching those guys trying to have fun but don't know if they are really having fun.....too surreal.

One of the asses I was with offered me $100 to go talk to one of the chicas...like my life is only worth $100 bucks.

So far, I found Pereira to be somewhat disappointing. Fun starts at 11PM, and ends at 2AM. But maybe I don't know the places you do???? Finding some good daytime places would improve my quality of life.

Was I that ass? It wouldn't surprise me. As you know, you were a source of a lot of laughs for me in Medellin although I wouldn't get much out of seeing you shot either ;-).

Yep, after loosing those number I learned to keep them in the phone with the phonebook locked. Even the chicas want to scroll thru your phone and see who they know. :)
