I don't like making generalizations, but in large measure you are also correct about guys from the northeast USA. They have a bit of a "rep" for "hitting the DR" with "their crew" and overpaying. They have a "rep" for being somewhat unsophisticated mongers.

I have dozens of aquaintenances from NYC that are like that. I think it gives me some [i]license[/i] to make that generalization. Also, I was born and raised in NYC, educated here - but please don't blame me! ;)

[b]Crazy Jim Wood[/b] - I think the issue is that in a "hobby" that is so dependent on your skills of negotiating - speaking Spanish puts you at a tremendous advantage. Do you absolutely have to speak Spanish in Latin America to get laid? No, of course not.

I know some career US Navy guys who get shore leave in Cartagena for 3 days and they tape $50 bills to their foreheads and run around town like idiots. They get laid too but I'd kind of gotten the impression that members of this board were looking for something more though!

Another shot of Maria. Met her in Crystals in Puerto Plata. Paid 2000RDP plus "vig" to the house.

Then took her again the very next night back in Sosua for all night till 12 noon the next day. Paid 2000RDP. Got photos - nude, dressed - and everything else I wanted!

Very gfe, very agreeable to [b][i]everything[/i][/b] - worth 2000rdp! :)

(Of course I negotiated everything in fluent Spanish first)

I think it costs twice as much for me to go to Brazil as to DR, I don't think that I will save enough on chicas to make it worth it. Plus, I have been following the DR thread for a while and want to give it a shot.

The issue isn't only money, either: I don't want to look stupid paying to much, and I want to make sure it is GFE as much as possible.

I am more interested in gazelles as you put it than tigresses--and I am more interested in fairer skinned women. It seems many others on the forum think Boca Chica is played out, but I guess you think Boca Chica is a better bet than Sosua?

I will only be there for a week but it would be nice to get to know a few places. Perhaps I should stay a few days at each.

In reading your experience as the Lion King lying in wait, you mention that a good place is essential while waiting for the gazelles.

You mentioned a place in Boca Chica but exactly where in Sosúa would you recommend a strategic place to stake out, e.g. lie in wait for a scrumptious gazelle. By tigress, I suppose that you mean a ***** with an attitude or sticky fingers.

From what you say, gazelles seem to be rather challenging to find.

1. They must be under 21 or 20
2. They can't be on the prowl after dark. Gazelles head home.
3. They can't be Haitian
4. They aren't the ones who approach you
5. They don't hang around Classicos

I hope I have got the essentials. Maybe a few pictures that illustrate what constitutes a tigress and what consitutes a gazelle might help the likes of such as we. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.

In any case, thank you for sharing your seasoned experience

It's the reason why you're in Sosua and not Punta Cana. Yes, there are gazelles at Classicos (less at night on Duarte's Boca Chica); however, there mixed in with so many more tigres, it's hard to spot them. Also, good girls go home at night. Only once in a blue moon will you catch them working the discos at night.

[b]2. On average, I find Haitian girls more hardened than Dominican girls. [/b]Nevertheless, I've met Haitian gazelles. Hell, Fuck Puppet is Haitian. There are no hard and fast rules, just guidelines. When the girl has too many "checks" to her name, walk away.

[b]3. Age is also not a hard and fast rule. [/b]Age is generally linked to experience. Knowledge of her market worth (gained through experience.) Also, girls become hard through their negative experiences with Dominicans and foreigners.

You have to evaluate the girl on several measures. You cannot discount her if she fails one or two guidelines.

In reference to a tigress, it's a woman who isn't going to fuck you right. It's a woman who is going to try to steal from you or renegotiate. It's a woman you don't want to fuck again.

Just say lighter complexion or European. the DR is not "fair' for 1st timers nor does it have an overabundance of available/inexpensiVe to cheap "fair" skinned talent.Most Dominicans have more African ancestry in common than Spanish ancestry as evidenced by the presence of dominat African features.Most of the girls will be darker skinned (I love it!) but of course there are exceptions.Do you like "fair" skinned black woman? They have those in every flavor from Licorice to Chocolate to Cinnamon to Mocha to Vanilla.
My point is this. If you are looking for a more European type bare in mind that

1.There are many in Santiago (where if you dont speak Spanish or have a visa to give away you wont be screwin anyones daughter)

2.They are present in the capital but tend to be part of a higher economic status.NOT ALL OF THEM BUT SOME.Longterm effects of colonization ETC.In short. They dont want or need your money.

3.They generally cost more so yes. You will likely look like a fool paying too much.

Considering your preference, Why not try Colombia or Costa Rica?

There is a beach restaurant called Siempre Sol. It belongs to a multilingual Dutchman named Hermann. You can go there, and have a snack while picking Hermann's brains. He seems to know every chica on the beach, has many of their phone numbers, and will happily share his knowledge. One word of caution however. Hermann exploits his waitress badly. They earn 3,000 pesos monthly (supposedly plus tips). Please put your tip directly into her hand. Otherwise she will never see it. What a piece of work!

Hermann is a good guy.... between him and Lou who used to have the Shark Bar on the beach you can get a lot of help.

I did say "fairer". It's best to be honest about one's desires. I am not opposed to "darker" (especially if accompanied by large[r] breasts and an ass that is not too big) but on average I would probably prefer lighter.

Besides, from the pictures I have seen on the forum, there's plenty in the DR that suits me. I have not been as impressed with the Costa Rica photos I have seen on the forum. Costa Rica also seems a little more squalid.

It also seems like the DR has a more established expat monger community and there is much more information. I could probably find many like-minded individuals to talk with when I am not boning. Seems like Costa Rica would have more granola-eating, tree-hugging types who would look askance at my proclivities.

Perhaps I will try Costa Rica at some point in the future. I think, though, at that point I would just go to Argentina: Jackson lives there so there must be something going on.

Right now, though, those places seem a lot further away than the DR.

you can find some very lovely girls with light brown skin, or bronze skin, if you hunt around and are patient.

the #1 key to getting great girls in the dr is speaking spanish. this is not as hard as it seems. spanish is not very difficult.

i started learning spanish from cds in my car a bit over three years ago and am now semifluent. there are big holes in my vocabulary, for sure, but i can hold everyday conversations, talk on the phone, write e-mails or text messages as well as most chicas (ok, that is not saying much.)

for example, you will find that chicas write "vesos" for "besos" (=kisses) which is a real beginner's mistake, even if that is how it is pronounced.

the hardest thing, perhaps, is that you cannot always find the chica you want when you want, so it behooves you to get to know chicas, collect phone numbers, make appointments for tomorrow etc.,and to go to places where there are girls who are not *****s and chat with them too. there are plenty of very attractive women who will not go to the discos or bars because they don't want their peers to tag them as putas, but who will be very willing to accept financial aid from 'boyfriends' who they have sex with.

language is the key to it all.

Thanks, this is very good advice. I guess knowing enough Spanish to make a date will at least get your foot in the door? I was looking at some CD's the other day at the bookstore and saw that Michael Thomas (language instructor to the stars--Kevin Costner learned from him) has a Spanish CD set out. Michael's French CD's were very good, maybe I should try the Spanish ones. If Kevin can do it, so can I.

What are the places where the girls are not whoares? Is it one of those "anywhere" deals where you talk to someone in the grocery store, park, whatever, or is there a good place to go?

Do you have an opinion on the best city to stay in for a beginner? I have been looking at Sosua.

It would be nice to meet some amateurs but I want to make sure there are pro's around in case I strike out.

Pimsleur. Pricey but well worth it, a basic set of Pimsleur Portuguese CD's got me around Sao Paulo just fine two years ago. Nothing beats an extended stay in Latin America, but I found the Pimsleur CDs to be the best of the language-learning products for picking up the basics of a language quickly.

W/respect to skin color, maybe its just me but after my first day in the DR I barely notice dark or light skin anymore. When the conversations are all in Spanish and she's behaving like any other fun-loving Latina, and especially once you start interacting with her, her skin color becomes of no more concern than the color of her shirt.
