don't get me wrong, she is a fun girl. I think she actually likes some guy from the USA. Because she is thinking about marrying this guy. And I could tell she was preoccupied, and that wasntlike in any past experiences, so I ask her and she said she does love this gringo from USA. I just wanted to pay for 5 day service. A small little package name ruby was a much better time, I came accross at classico. Needless to say I wished her all the best, because there is a good heart in that girl. She isn't scamming like a lot of these girls!
I think the guy she is referring to is the guy that I know that wifes her up.
.
Canon will release a new camera soon, the S100. But this thing will start at $429.
http://www.dpreview.com/previews/canons100/
I bought my Canon for $220 the 780IS the moment they hit the shelves now I see the camera for 100 bucks everywhere because the 14MP came out, I think same thing will happen with the 100 series as the 1st shock proof waterproof Olympus I bought cost 200 plus 2nd one like 120 on Ebay brand new with 14MP instead of my old 8MP. The wear and tear travel takes on cameras takes its toll, lost an Casio Exlim to the Cartagena sand it was the smallest compact at that time, an Olympus crystal Lcd quit working after about 8 trips. The Canons are no comparison though, the zoom those mofos have and the night pics they take are awesome.
I think the guy she is referring to is the guy that I know that wifes her up.
Probably is. All I know is that I won't be wasting a penny on her again. She obviously likes this guy and like I said to her. Good luck and wished her all the best with her future endevours.

Ticketed!
It's official. I'm arriving around 3 pm on Dec. 6th. I would have wanted to stay until Monday, but I got work related shit fucking up the program. Oh well! At least I get a few days to settle in before the weekend really jumps off. This will give me a chance to survey other landscapes and chill out.
I need to hurry and lock down my accommodations. Has anybody stayed at Club Residencial? Does it have a reputation?
Gogo, I don't have pm rights. When I had to re register, I could not assume my old name for some reason and I lost my senior status. I tried emailing to get some assistance, but I didn't even get a reply. I'm being a cheap ass about paying for a membership, but it is more principle than anything. I would love to see your collection. I got a email address that is basically a catch for junk mail, so I don't mind publicly posting it on here. I plan on making my way to Columbia at some point, but I'm rolling solo to Barcelona / Ibiza for two weeks next year and after that my next major trip is Thailand. I hope I can squeeze that in soon.
Buscemi beat me to it. I usually take my iPhone with me while traveling but I only use it as an alarm clock and always keep it locked up in the safe outside of that. I can stand to lose a $75 camera, but my entire life is on my smart phone, LOL.
Good point, but as newer phones develope and we upgrade sometimes the older smartphones weve upgraded from are perfect for what we need. They are expendable, have wifi, camera and video. My new smartphone also stays in the safe for security reasons, but also so I won't get roaming charges from people in the states talking bullshit. When I did that video from the BB bikini show, which no one commented on but had 400 views, I had my camera. 10usd DR phone and ipod, thats to much shit. My older 3g iphone that gathers dust would be great to have. I've given an old girlfriend in PP my old Blackberry which her Aunt took for baby sitting her child. My first iphone I gave to another girlfriend in PP then she called me crying saying it got taken by some guy. For all that I might as well keep my functional older smartphones for hanging out in the DR.
We sometimes need music, instant photography capability, video, and wifi for restaurants or cafes. Whatever you feel can serve these purposes for YOU is best.

That was a big time newbie mistake. The bracelet shouldn't have even been in the country let alone unattended in the bathroom of a hotel in the DR.
Stole my diamond bracelet from the bathroom counter at ng.
Always be wary. Named "Sori".
I had my cell phone stolen by a girl I had a while ago. Unfortunately she racked up some charges on it because unknown to me t-mobile had international calling plan on it. Fortunately T-moble was able to cut off after $500 charge. This happened because of my carelessness. I was tired from the flight and took the first good looking girl I saw on the way to the hotel. Luckily she did not steal any money from my wallet.
From then on I cancelled all international service from t-mobile. T-mobile insisted I keep the plan because it was free but I knew the charges were $2. 99 a minute.
Always the moment you get into another country hide the original sim card and insert the local sim card. Also nowadays I put my regular phone in safe deposit locker and carry a cheap phone only for local calls.
On mongering trips never take expensive jewellery, watch, lots of money and never ever think of the P4P girl with you is like your gf who will not steal. There are many girls who will not touch anything but given the opportunity will pocket the goods. Always lock up all valuable and carry only the local money. Even then one girl in manila stole 3000 pesos while I was sleeping. She was non working girl and stayed with me many times. Maybe she thought I would not notice. So you need to be carefull irrespective of if it is a working girl or not.

True that
You do have to be careful these girls are poor and deperate. Deperation is an awful condition. So best advice is do not tempt them.

It automatically locks 2 seconds after I stop using it for any reason. You must enter a password to use it, except to call 911 or the emergency number that you choose. All cell phones have this capability. Use it. While in a girl's bathroom in the hood outside Santo Domingo, I dropped my phone and did not realize it until ten minutes later. Her son brings it to me and asked, in Spanish, how to make a call. I told him it takes a special code. The girl was impressed. I can replace the phone and the contacts are connected to my gmail account. I do not need charges associated with theft.

Seriously, these girls will steal shampoo, toothpaste, and condoms, you think they they would pass on bling?
Was this your first trip to a third world country, or were you just drunk?
HINT: If you do not want it stolen, leave it home, or lock it in the safe (that is even questionable!)

Is that the same girl in my photos? This girl tried to pick my pockets in Classico last November!
Frannie,
"Who's Sori now?" I'm so happy I wasn't eating or drinking anything when I read that; I would have choked for sure.

I usually take all the precautions, but was temporarily lulled into believing the chicas I choose wouldn't be so bold. I jumped into shower, took off jewelry and left everything in the bathroom, contrary to my normal practice. Still, just take the warning on this particular chica.
