The Honk Kong establishment realized that there is no supply of sex workers except illegal across the border and no real competition in the zona. Why shouldn't HK jack up prices or girls ask for as much money as possible? They have the right to do this and naturally there will always be push back from us the market. That's capitalism. So idk why you acting surprised people are pushing back. When you have a effective monopoly you can jack up prices all you want and ignore quality. Many of our fellow Americans are bad at handling money and no skill at haggling. We are known to foreigners as targets that are easily removed of their money (Source: Asian and travel a lot to 3rd world countries and able to talk to people). If there is no push back at all then they can keep this up until even you are uncomfortable. Its fairly revident that HK is experimenting, with a monger here confirming that the management has told the girls to always quote 100 and some mongers being quoted 120. Almost a 50% increase in quoted prices from last year in my experience. All this to see how much they can push up prices before profit margins are not where they like.

American strippers, with higher cost of living, look way better, and don't do this.
