How tough is it to negotiate sex in the VIP room rather than going to the hotel? How private is it, and how much time can you get, and at what cost?

I visit the island of Curaçao from time to time and there was once a convenient price surge at the brothel there. They tried doubling the rate from about 30 bucks to about 60 bucks. The locals pitched a ***** and stop going, and business suffered so they quickly returned to the original rate. In the case of Curacao I guess there weren't enough gringos around to to take advantage of, but at HK there are just too many gringos ready and willing to fork over 100 bucks for mediocre sex. Those of you who think HK is so great because there's nothing comparable in the USA, that's a really myopic point of view. [blue][Deleted by Admin][/blue]. It's understandable. I guess it is like flying the family to Disneyland once every ten years and just paying the inflated prices at the amusement park.

But consider more than just a bunch of scantily clad putas available for money, because it seems that is all you guys are thinking about. Consider that the whole establishment is one giant rip-off. What is offered is way outside the norms of established local economic boundaries. All following prices are converted to dollars to make it easier to follow. A beer at a normal bar is about $. 80. At HK it is $4. That's 5 x more than the going local rate. Let's say a beer at a USA bar is $4. Would you go to the local strip club and buy beers at $20 per bottle? A tiny little 7 oz ficha beer costs $9. If a grown man wage is $27/ day in Tijuana, a ficha equals 1/3 of a man's daily wage. So if a gringo makes $180/ day in USA, that's equal to paying $60 for 7 ounces of beer. Would you pay $60 to buy a stripper a tiny beer in America? Do you guys know how much a 16.9 oz bottle of Kirkland water costs for a puta at HK? It's something like $27. Add to that the constant mesero rip-offs and scams that make the experience even more expensive. And that's not even mentioning that Tijuana hookers make as much or more than their American counterparts, which is just plain ludicrous.

There is a line where if crossed, it just becomes a rip-off fueled by pure greed of the proprietor. HK and most of ZN have already crossed that line. That is why when I go, I don't spend a lot of money. My first couple of years of going to Tijuana, I thought like many of you do. I didn't care about prices because I was used to making a good American income. I'd spend $100-$200 every night just buying fichas. It wasn't a big deal to me because it was like a half day's worth of income. But then as I starting going more and more, and learning more about local economics, I began to realize that ZN is a huge, price-gouging tourist trap. And now when I go, I don't spend that much. I'll go out with maybe $30, buy a few beers then go home with still a couple bucks in my pocket.

This is exactly why some guys pay $100 for an arriba. It's why some guys don't bother paying SGs in pesos. It's why they are fine with paying $9 to grope a girl for 15 minutes.

Because in Omaha (or Kansas City), that girl you are going arriba with would be charging $300. The only street girls are ripoff crackheads, so paying $30 instead of 300 pesos is no big deal. And it costs $30 per song to grope a girl in a strip club (if it's even allowed).

Yes there will be an infinite number of gringos that go to Hong Kong and are more than happy to pay $100 and $120 for sex at HK, big whoop. That's not going to stop anytime soon. In fact, assume that this scam industry will go on forever. Why wouldn't it? Tons of tourists pour into HK every day. Each tourist may only come by once a year or once every few years. Therefore each gringo thinks the same: they don't go that much so let's spend all the cash. And there you have a scam industry.

But enough about that, what is the solution? In my opinion it's probably best to not go to HK anymore. Probably best to stick to street girls or negotiating with independent girls to actually get a solid deal and solid experience. Also, there are other countries that are better for mongering. For example, I'm heading to Montreal end of this month, heard they have upscale agencies there with 9's and 10's charging affordable rates, like $160 for the hour. Just wondering if this had happened to anyone else so next time I know how to respond to such actions.

I'm a numbers guy because of my day job and seeing the plain price gouging makes me uneasy. If people want to get ripped of they can go ahead and do it. Caught up with a girl that I had TLNed with a few times and thought we had a good connection. She goes home for a few months, comes back, I find her in HK. She says she wants to change clothes and will come back to my table. I wait about 30 minutes. No show. Message her and she says she has left the club. No reason given.
