On pre-booking, I would say a few hours is enough, unless the girl is in high demand, or you want a specific time slot. In which case, the sooner the better, but same day. Also, keep in mind that some of the bookers have a heavy accent and they are difficult to understand. So, make sure you have them text you the name of the hotel. Then you need to find out where the hotel is and how to get there.

On walking apartments: I only did Fuji and Hop Yee and liked them both. However, they are not marked building, hence not easy to find. Use the address, with Apt number, and find the building. Keep in mind, there are regular folks living there as well. But it's well worth it. The girls are mostly from the PRC and they are honest and friendly. I've never pre-booked (walk-ins) but the forum suggests be prepared for either long wait for the popular ones or some minor bait / switch (not always from good to bad though! You might want to check the forum upon arrival to see the "flavor of the week" postings as the girls usually stay for 7-10 days only.

Your list of walk-ups is accurate and as always its YMMV, depending on time and day. You would be surprised how busy some of the popular spots are, eg Fuji. But there's a plethora of choices.

On the other hand, for those ladies who have a specific price list, there's usually no up-selling as well, although a desperate girl may try.

141 - prices are fixed. Absolutely no haggling. In some cases you can ask for extras but will pay more.
