I went to Soi Cowboy last night (Sunday) without any problems. The Soi was a bit quiet outside.

Not many customers, so I had all the girls eager.
Many girls are down to their last 100 Baht, so its easy to help them out with a couple of drinks, a tip, or better still a barfine booking.
Many new girls at Suzi Wong and a couple of lookers too.

The lezzie show was on rather late at about 10.30PM when the bar had a few customers.

I stayed there this past weekend and it is fairly untouched by the present troubles. There are good internet deals on hotels. The Emporium (up near Soi 33) is open for shopping, food and movies. Lots of pretty girls in the go-go bars and FS massage shops, too!

The mood is definitely tenser down around Nana / Soi 4.

How can you not feel safe with a bunch of 18 year old kids with guns protecting you! Things are getting creepier right now - lots of places closed, hard to get money as the FX booths are closed and many ATMs are out of money. Not a lot of people on Sukhumvit and barbed wire across the Soi 11 sidewalk. I saw a bunch of army guys hiding behind columns and was wondering why. Part of me wants to go to Pattaya and another part wants to see how this all plays out.

I think that would have a longer term effect on the hand that feeds. You see a lot of people have all ready changes plans to the Philippines becauseof the problems there. I hear about sex tourisit getting taken out the change might be for good. Why it is never a good idea to bit the hand that feeds you, seems the government knows that better then some posters do.

I was just indirectly expressing my 'irritation' at anybody who hopes for more bloodshed to bring the price of sex down, particularly if it involves the death or injury of any of my friends or their families in Thailand. Irony - it's a British thing.

Reminds me of another poster in the Indian forum who was rejoicing when a whole load of female flight attendants were laid off, because he thought they would be out walking the streets for his pleasure. Low life indeed.

My hotel told me today situation was unchanged. The 3 pm event was cancelled. I could go out everywhere exept to West of soi 2. The army check point behind my hotel is removed. The 7-11 on soi 4 is now covered with newspapers, so no one can see it. (I think this is to prevent looting, as the red shirts had their food supply cut off). Several 7-11 in the rally area were looted the last days. Also ATM machines.

Arrived in Lamai on Ko Samui yesterday and had an excellent LT with 3 pops for 1000B. However I did her bareback, so life her is quite dangerous as well. And a dog barked at me while running on the beach today.
