I spent the past three days on and off in the zona with a few of my favorites. I live in San Diego so I go back and forth. I have a passport-the book / not the ready card. I am in process of getting SENTRI. I travel back to USA usually around 3-4 PM. Sunday the line was 3. 5 hours. Monday was 3 hours. Yesterday was 5 minutes. I see a LOT of people with canes (not proportioned to the "normal" population!) to get the "handicap" perks. No wait in line! Just a thought. Years back there was a scheme of renting a bike to get through the border fast. Was thinking why doesn't a smart farmacia set up a booth and sell "arthritis' prescriptions and sell canes as a scheme to get around the "fake" handicap ruse the US government supports at the border!
Also the Dollar to peso exchange is NEAR 15 to $1 at the cambios at the trolley station. It fluctuates wildly during the day. At Sunday morning (at McDonalds) it was 14.09 at 9 am. At 5 pm it was 14.71. On Monday at 9 am it was 14.58 and in 2 minutes it "crashed" to 14.19! At 5 pm it was back up to 14.71! On Tuesday at 9 am it was 14.45. At 3 pm when I went home it was at 14.91. I am sure at the banks it is above 15 to $1.
In Tijuana the rate has not change in 3 weeks around 14.09 to $1. Selling pesos back to dollars seem to be a lot better deal in Mexico.
I too remember the "rent a bicycle", did it once or twice then they put an end to that. Got Sentri now and happy I did.

As a newbie trying to stay safe and not get ripped off, you should only be leaving HK to go into Adelitas (or Las Chevalas if you like the heavier chicas).
And as a newbie, the only good reason to cross to the other side of Coahuila Ave is to eat since there are numerous decent restaurants on that side of that block.
You don't "need" to, but another reason to cross Coahuila is Tropical Bar. It is a second tier place but has a lot of gringos in it. It is good for dancing and fresh of the boat chicas (but also very pesky meseros). And it is safe since that was the basis of the original question.

If you go there and you see a female waitress about 5'1". Make her your waitress. She is very friendly and won't rip you off.

Never been overcharged or not had change returned, or had them try to palm half-finished ficha drinks, etc. , etc. All of which I've experienced at HK. I like Tropical, but they always have the music turned up to 11. I can barely hear myself think in there.

It's not a good place for any newbie displaying a 'deer in the headlights' appearance.

There was some talk about what to do with Chicago club and what we would do if we owned it. I say instead of building a clone of HK, how about making it a terma like in Brazil. It would take all the business. Could you imagine going into CC with no meseros! Only hot girls and a bartender that gives the drinks to your girl and she brings it over to where you were sitting after she shows him your number. You would have a cover charge of about 15 dollars to make up for less liquor sales, and keep the rift raft out, but it would be so worth it. They could pay about 20 to 30 girls a minimum salary, so they would always be women when you go. Did I say no meseros and NO ROBE BOY and NO CUM BOY. They already have the rooms. They just need the showers and spa area for everyone.

And if you are still insistant on buying some in Tijuana I would give you some info if you pay the membership so I can send you a PM.

Why would you mess with drugs in a 3rd world country. You could be setup pretty easily and extorted. Just abstain from drugs for a few days. Its not that hard you freaking junkie.

Do what I do. Get a cannabis card and go to a dispensary. They have cannabis in every type of form. Edible, wax and one if my favorites, liquid weed used with a vape pen. It's basically a e-cigarette in cannabis form. I smoke this shit everywhere. I take it on the plane, to disneyland, movies, school functions, sporting events. Every where. I take this everywhere and not one person will know. I smoke this in front of Tijuana cops, SD PD and SF PD. I take this with me every time I go to Tijuana. I smoke it in the bars and in the sportsbook caliente. I was told to put out my cigarette by caliente staff and I told him it was a vape pen and was allowed to get high in the alleys caliente sports book without anyone knowing. I love these pens with the liquid cannabis. They are not as strong as real cannibus or wax but it's the most discret form of smoking weed. Guy at work smokes this at the office in front of the boss and only I know because I bought this for him as a gift.
I have smelled weed in hotel Cascadas and have seen it smoked in from of las chavelas by locals but I would not recommend bringing in or smoking the traditional joint

Vape Pens
You have been lucky. Tijuana Cops are not stupid. They will screw with you giving enough time. They do not care what your smoking and will deal with you one way or the other. Like I said you have been lucky and that luck will run out soon. So keep doing what your doing thinking your getting away with until it catches up with you. Your medical card does you zero good crossing back into America because it is Federal Land. You will get in trouble but the case will get tossed once it goes to court in CA. I have my medical card but know it does not matter when crossing back into America.

If your a grown adult you should already be aware of this and if you get caught with this stuff by Tijuana cops your screwed.
