At FKK clubs in Frankfurt, is ID required to enter the club all the time? I am not from Europe. Should I be carrying my passport with me to the club or my California drivers license be an acceptable ID if asked?
Thanks.
You won't need ID to enter a club unless you could be mistaken for being under 18 but I believe in Germany it's a requirement that you carry some form of photo ID with you at all times to show the Police if required. I'm not certain if a photo drivers license is suitable for this. I have heard tells of Police raids (Razzia) on clubs where guys have been escorted back to their hotels to get suitable ID if they didn't have any with them. I do have a VERY vague recollection of a guy from the US (Tommy Seville maybe...) posting that he had used his driving license for just this purpose and it had worked, but I mean seriously vague.
Personally I always carry my passport with me but, as it's the only form of photo ID I have, I don't have much choice.
Almost always, direct withdrawal from any major bank ATM gives you the cheapest rates. You'd probably pay a per transaction fee but that is minimal for most large US banks. For example, I get market rates from Wells Fargo with a $5 fee per transaction.
Yeah, but he has to be careful of all these scam ATM's like Euronet, Cardzone, Moneybox, Travelex etc. Worst rates and are sometimes located next to the big banks outlets. Or in fkk's

Police might insist on a passport or ID and not accept a driving license with photo. So having proper ID on you will help avoiding a hassle.
HB.
For a new guy going to Cologne which club would you head to first I'll probably go for a weekend in Feb or at least a day trip as I live close by?
There are only 2 main clubs in Cologne, Samya and Mondial. Weekend nights can get crazy after 10 pm especially in Mondial. Personally Mondial is my favorite club but I avoid Friday and Saturday nights there. Read both club threads and decide. Please write up a review on either or both as they are definitely needed and appreciated.

HB.
I was pulled over once for speeding in the city, of all places in Germany but that is another story, and he only asked for my driver's license and car registration. They knew I was not local since I only spoke English with them. When I asked if they need to see my passport, they said no.
By the way, police do set up checkpoints around Darmstadt to check for drunk driving at night. I was stopped not long after leaving Sharks the last time, and when I mentioned that I just left the place and was heading to the airport, they just let me through.

After visiting Artemis last month I have no intention of staying late was looking for an afternoon early evening visit say getting there at 2-3 and leaving about 9 ish.
Which club would be better for an afternoon visit I'd be with my car.
Should I also consider VL since it's closer to Belgium where I live?
-
Yeah I visited Mondial on a Mon this time, and the ratio was much better. Mondial propbably isn't that significant of a difference to Fri or Sat when it comes of attendance of girls.

Mondial always has more girls than Samya. Mondial is the cheaper club with 30 euro vs. 50 euro entry. Short sessions cheaper at Mondial but a 1 hour session is more at Mondial. There are better day time club options but nothing close to Cologne.

1 HR session is still cheaper at Mondial. Samya went up to 50 every half. Draw is the low entry and being able to increment in 20 min (30 Euros), and number of girls. Decent food for what you pay.
Take care when driving in Germany during the winter, while its now law that all cars must have winter tires most are just M&S not really full blown snow tires. If you don't have experience driving in the snow you're in for a surprise. Black ice can cause huge accidents. One year they closed down the entire A3 due to snow diverting all the traffic to small roadways. Drive slow and don't jam your brakes. Thus I prefer to go with others who have more experience.
Naturally they'll be less women during the holiday season Dec-Jan but usually you can make due. This also means less guests to compete with. Take care, any day at an FKK is a good day.
Oh I guess I will not risk it, I don't want to ruin my travel with a road traffic accident, even if no accidents occurs I'm confident I will drive with anxiety which will turn my vacation into nothing less than stress. I appreciate your input mate, and I will not rent a car, fuck it.

The small local roads are the most dangerous. Can be icy & you might experience some sliding around but as long as you are driving slow it's never been an issue. Driving 250+ on the autobahn during non icy conditions is quite a thrill & I can feel the blood rushing to my balls but have had some close calls with dumbs cutting in front last second.

I appreciate your input mate, and I will not rent a car, fuck it.
I was also very indecisive to rent or not but believe me it is always better to rent a car. It will be much more comfortable. And I am sure every rental company have snow tires. They have to adapt their cars to the country they operate and they know the regulations there better than you. I tried it it in both way and tested. IF you are not so timid on budget you should definitely rent a car. If you go to some popular third party websites like expedia you can see some cheaper offers. Last time I rented without insurance and basic car. I have learned that without insurance means you will pay the damages until 950 €. More than this you are still under coverage. I saved 55 usd for this for 4 days. The only dangerous moment was when I forget the pull the handbrake in airport autopark and take the idle speed. The black polo started to move frontward on the 5th floor of the building. I reacted fast and saved the car. I am just telling to make you laugh. Believe me in this freezing weather you don't want to wait trains in station or wait for the taxis. When you are left alone in German countryside waiting for a taxi then you will understand it is safer being in car even on snowy and icy roads.
Regards.

Immigration question
I have a question regarding the EU immigration.
I will stay in the UK for one month.
However, during that month, I want to fly to Germany and spend my weekends in FKK clubs.
By doing that, it means I will enter / leave the UK / Germany for 3-4 times within one month.
I think this is going to draw the attention of the immigration officers.
What to tell the immigration officers on both sides?
Just tell them "Because there is no proper FKK Sauna Clubs in the UK, I have to go to Germany for FKK Sauna clubs to relax"?

There have to be some company on in the afternoon? Otherwise why open?
I was hoping to get a sauna and watch some football?
Thanks for all the posts though it helps me decide.
P.S. I got my winter tires so no problem there.

Regards.
Plus, in the winter a front-wheel drive is probably better. Mercedes and BMW are back-wheel drive if I'm not mistaken. They tend to be the bigger and more expensive cars anyway. There haven't been really bad road conditions in Germany these last few years. If you're offered a cheaper French car instead of a more expensive German one, go for the French. It will be just as good as the same German car for a identical engine size and it will come with more extra electronics and be harder to scratch (stronger bodywork paint).
There's a special insurance called "VERKEHRSRECHTSSCHUTZ". It covers all the legal costs of car accidents. In case of an accident you call the number and they send you a lawyer. I don't know whether such an insurance is included in a rent package or if it can be had for a short period.
Note that if you drive in Germany the riskier part is parking. I've scracthed my car four times over the last 8 years and I did it each time while parking or leaving a parking spot. But since you will drive from between hotels and FKKs parking should not be a big problem.
