If you were in a club, you could stay, but you couldn't get back in if you left. They were telling everyone in the street to go home. The enforcement was a bit lax though, since people were gathering in the side streets and workers from the clubs were trying to sneak people into the clubs, a few at a time. It was strange situation and I'm not sure what the purpose of this shutdown was. But I was able to get into Paisas and pull a really skinny girl from there before calling it a night.

Prior to the late night shutdown, I visited Troya, Fiebres, Atones. All the clubs were pretty busy but not at pre-pandemic levels for a Saturday night. Girls not quite as hot a previous years, but not bad. Almost all seem to be Venezuelans. Troya didn't have any girls I was interested in. Atones had a couple hotties but they were drinking with other guys. Fiebres had several hot girls and I pulled a hot Venezuelan that I hadn't seen before. The normal rate for these girls is 70 K COP room included, but this girl charged me 100 K COP and asked me to buy her a drink on top of that. I didn't care though because she was the hottest girl in there by far. Session was jusk ok as she didn't allow me to all the things I wanted.

But of course as these things go, it's a mutual baiting game. If you fold, then they smell blood and try to go for it the next time with double. After all, paying black mailers carries an implicit admission of guilt, or at least the guy knows then that you are weak minded or are, well, blackmailable.

This is why I think I got the problem resolved simply by threatening back police action and pointing out the criminal nature of what they were doing and staying very calm on the basis that I have nothing really to hide. And that also fortified my counter-threat that I would be going to the police.

As usual, predators are picking easy prey. And I am sure that dude had a dozen prospects on the hook.

P.S.: you can also usually tell how dumb these guys are, because his threat that he had a friend at "the embassy". Like how exactly is that supposed to scare me?

I went to the location marked SWers (02-16-2019) on World Travel 69's map at Calle 62 and Avenida Caracas yesterday around 11 PM and again today around 1 PM. I did not see any streetwalkers there at those times, though I can certainly believe that it had been a good location to find streetwalkers at some point in time with the many love motels nearby. Maybe early evening would be a better time to try.

Next, I went to Rosquillas 2 at Calle 64 # 15-30. First, I talked to the guy outside who was yelling "Chicas!" I asked him in Spanish if there would any fee if I didn't select any girl. He told me that there was no fee for viewing and no commitment (sin compromiso). I went in, and was asked if I wanted anything to drink. I declined, saying that I was just there for the girls. I saw two girls who were not really my type. Then, I asked how much half an hour would cost. I was told 40 dollars. The answer shocked me. "Dices dolares?" I asked. "Dolares, dolares," he replied in. I said thanks, and immediately got up and left. I wasn't even carrying any dollars. I realize now that I should have asked for a price in pesos before leaving. I think more girls would have come out if I had waited. I thought (wrongly) that I would get better treatment since I spoke Spanish the whole time I was there. 40 dollars or the peso equivalent is rather high for half an hour with the level of talent that I saw, though I probably didn't see all they had to offer.

Does anyone want to join me for a trip to Santa Fe or the Mezzanine?

I give an unknown two times to say who they are and if they do not then they are blocked. I am not as curious as you as to have to know who it is that I have to tell them to relax and me try to figure it out and do all kinds of searches and shit. Curious people make for easy prey.

Once the conversation turned hostile, I followed the rule ". Keep your enemies closer". Since I did make a bunch of contacts, I was thinking it might be some reply that came from a different number, I have seen that happen before. While I was trying to figure out who this was, the dude already started getting pushy and impatient. And the threats came soon. I thought about blocking them, sure, but I still have not and I feel it was better this way. Once I knew this was an enemy and he already was threatening me with my picture, I felt it is best to keep replying firmly (at a slow pace of course, like not getting into a mad message exchange), making counter-threats and see what his next move is rather than having it blocked and not knowing what's going on.

Now, for example, almost a day went by with no further word, this means to me that the spook is over. I would not know that if I had blocked this conversation.

The only time that perhaps I should have blocked was right at the start, unsolicited contacts. Block. Sure that would have avoided the first escalation.

Since I didn't do anything wrong, I don't have anything to panic. But I do wonder if I should go to a police place tomorrow and show them the conversation and denounce that number?[/QUOTE]Didn't do anything wrong are famous last words in the sex prison, but Latin America is different. When the government declares a war on trafficking or a war on drugs, IMO they are willing to take on benign people and turn them into criminals.

Don't go to the police. That is a waste of time or at worst, they will shake you down. You block and report the number to whatsapp if you are using them and adjust your security settings on social media. If they do post on social media blasting you, you report the poster. If Facebook or Instagram or whomever will not take down the bad post, you delete your account and start a fresh one and then put on enhanced security settings.

A college professor said after getting tenure that he would have to rape the dean's wife in front of the Hallmark catalogue to get fired. He was a foreigner and was laughing at how ridiculous tenure was. I think you could find Colombian women who would say something similar about men being charged and convicted of rape there.

As for the embassy angle, that was a funny one. I actually went through a bit of that with my ex-fiancé. I was pissed at her and fucking with her and told her that I would sue her for breach of contract. She did not know what to do, so she said, "I will go to the embassy and tell them you are threatening me". I laughed and said, "*****, you have already been to the Embassy to check on your fiancé paperwork and they would not let you in. Why would they let you in now?

I would imagine if anyone went to the embassy with a law enforcement concern with an American and did get in (a Herculean task at that), the embassy would be refer things to the local police.

The Police situation is weird, Something new. Maybe there are more cases of covid? One thing for sure being in the crowded clubs will most probably expose you to covid. I had it 2 times. Like Rand Paul I don't need the vax as advised by my Dr.

You don't let yourself get drawn into anything with some character on the street, why do it online when it's even simpler than walking away. You can't be that bored or lonely or needing a dopamine hit from your phone lighting up.

Can someone who's been to Bogota recently let me know about how much time it's taking to go through immigration lately?

How many flights came in right before or at the same time as yours? Where are you sitting in the plane? Are you able to walk fast through the hall and beat everyone else? Can you go to the handicap line? Well that was the arrival immigration. The departure immigration is usually pretty fast.

Flight got in late so I missed my flight to Barranquilla. Booked Santa Fe Hotel for $21. Took Indriver from the airport to downtown. Meet in the parking lot as usual with the ride shares. 20,000 pesos. I have not paid that low in years. I hope it continues to work out.

Got to Santa Fe at midnight. Saw a guy that was obviously American standing against a building and spoke to him. I think it threw him off a bit. We just happened to be from the same city. We ended up hanging out a few minutes in front of the building then grabbing a bite to eat. While we were in my favorite fast food spot we met another guy that said he was from Bogota. He spoke perfect English. Then we met another Colombiano in the same restaurant, but he did not speak any English. It was 12:55 so she had to close the restaurant up. But people were still coming through in the house door next to it that still leads to the restaurant. That is the way we exited.

There were plenty police around and they had the street blocked off with a vehicle. They started walking down the sidewalk en masse. A guy in normal clothes with a walkie talkie stayed on the corner where I was. He said something into the walkie talkie then I asked him what was going on. He said they had to make sure all everything was closing up. I asked what time they had to close and he said 1am.

The guy I met was about to head back to his hotel and I was about to walk around to see what I could see. Just then we met another American guy that said he was looking for the Santa Fe Hotel. He had not gotten his bearings yet so he did not know where it was. First guy hopped in a taxi and I showed the new guy where the hotel was. I walked back to San Francisco. Tonight was the worst that I have ever seen Santa Fe. It was a ghost town. The guy I met said nothing was going on in the clubs either. And it was also the most police that I have ever seen there. Sure there were at least 100. Way more cops than chicks; I can say that with 100% certainty.

P. S. Every person that I met tonight said how cold it was. And this was not even a cold night from my Bogota experience.

I don't have a precise breakdown of how much time I spent getting off the plane, waiting in line at immigration, picking up my luggage, and going through customs.

The departure immigration is usually pretty fast.[/QUOTE]The 2 biggest factors are what time of day you arrive, if it's a red eye, not many agents on duty so it will be slow and 2) how many planes landed in front of you. I was pissed one day because we waited for a gate for 10 or 15 minutes or so, in that time 2 big international flights landed and go to imagination right in front of us so we had like 400 people beat us to it. Add in the fact we docked into the last gate in the terminal and as Ed said it was a mile walk to Immigration. So way too many variables to give you an exact answer. I once planed on one of my Fav's to meet me at my hotel, but my flight was late, long lines at immigration, my phone was dead and I arrive 3 hours late for our meet time, ugh! Needless to say she was pissed, waited almost 2 hours in the lobby for me before she left, I paid her the Taxi fare she wasted but was not a happy camper. I never set up a meet at the hotel on arrival day anymore until I get there and call her. So it can be 25/30 minutes or 2 hours, just go with the flow.
