Well I certainly don't want to force anyone to have sex with me if they don't want to, and I respect their freedom to choose who to service. But, discrimination is discrimination is bad business. These girls are screwing themselves.

Look at it from this angle; if race track girls have the right to deny service based on nationality and race, then don't restaurant and hotel owners have the same right to deny service to those people they don't want to do business with? If what the Lisboa girls said or felt were true, it would require more of them to serve Western men than Chinese men in general. Perhaps the most market solution to it is to break down the services like in Germany (BBBJ, CIM, etc), but either for the lack of differentiated services on offer or too much hassle (transaction costs being high enough (imagining doing these negotiations all the time over there) to deter the offer of differentiated services-pricing).

Reverse discrimination or affirmative action is fine in the USA including forced quota on the percentage of Asian American students in top US universities is ok, why?

BUT whilst your principles are correct, I don't think the basic social rule not to have tht kind of discrimination applies in prostitution: at the end of the day it is the girl own body being used we are talking about.

It is not OK in my opinion. Reverse discrimination or affirmative action exists in the USA because of political power reasons. The pro affirmative action side seems to have a leveraged majority. It is not in the constitution and that is why the issue will not go away. It is wrong to discriminate!

I think the issue at the Lisboa Racetrack is not so much a case of market pricing failure, but rather one of asymmetric information. The girls don't seem to understand that their prejudice reduces the demand for their service and thus lowers the price they can charge. Either they are screwing themselves or they have so much demand from Asian men that they feel they can afford to give in to their prejudice. Their loss is the Sauna's gain.

You're kidding or really believe what you wrote ? Small business owners don't need to TELL the prospective staff they won't be employed because of their race or religion etc... but they definetely can dismiss them on these grounds - quite common where I live, and although not in the US, we do have antidiscrimanatory laws.

Besides your claim of this discrimation beeing self defeating is more than a bit questionnable. Not sure abt the Lisboa girls but it sounds quite ovious the staff one employs should fit its targetted market and also preferably its coworkers.

As a legitimate business, saunas and the like are subject to anti-racism laws. Sure, these laws may be looser in some countries than in others, but they're there. Individual workers, however, are free to be as racist as they please. It's unethical, but it's legal, hence the Lisboa racetrack girls' preference for Chinese men and flat out rejection of Western men.

Even in Nevada, you can't take an street worker or any other independent worker to court for being racist. You can only sue establishments.

It's like dating. If a white man only prefers to date white women and thus turns down an Asian woman, is that racist? No, it's a preference. But if a dating service refuses to list a black man's ad, then that's racist.

While I was waiting a number of clients and their girls came and went past me and staff kept repeating “wait a moment please”. It took a while (like a good 5mins) for the girl to appear but she just said “ What happen. My customer has disappearred” and then just stood there waiting. The manager came down and after a brief conversation he asked me to follow him upstairs where I returned to my seat in the lounge.

The upshot of it all was that it didn't seem to worry the manager at all. After I explained that I had had great time the night before and he just said “Will you choose another girl” and I said yes. He then said “But you must pay for the 12 mins. in the room because the computer records the time when the girl rings maybe $Hk300” which I considered but countered with $HK200 (mostly to save time and effort and to allow him to save face) which he agreed to. I then chose a nice Viet girl on the recommendation of one of the other managers who seemed to want to sure that I was mollified. I had a great time with her.

I had a few free nights after 5 weeks in China, and decided on two nights in Macau one night in Hong Kong (both for the first time). I wanted to try at least one sauna, and play the rest by ear.

I think you misunderstand me. I am not whining about the prejudice of the racetrack girls. I find their attitude amusing and I am conjecturing on what forms the basis of their prejudice. Since I have benefited in the past from the information provided by members of the forum, I am trying to return the favor by giving members who have not yet visited Macau some pertinent information. The bottom line I am trying to convey is that Macau is a great watering hole. The saunas are amazing. The bars are also great places to go and have some fun. By comparison, I find the Lisboa racetrack is a vastly inferior venue. Don’t you agree? I mean the eye candy is fantastic, but that's about it. I also reported that the girl's icy attitude seemed to soften towards me as they got used to my nightly visits. So it is not impossible to get a good shag here if you are patient IMO.

Can someone confirm drinking beer is an option in 18 or is Seamaster confused ? Went there again tonight and haven't seen any beer, in Rio they told me it's forbidden yesterday and thought I was told the same in 18 a few months back.
