I agree with Amavida. I've met hundreds of Filipinas, got to know maybe 50 well enough to make a judgement call and 49 were fine, #50 was a little bit of a scammer (believe that her friends put her up to it), but she travelled from CDO to Davao to meet me and then back on the bus to CDO, so maybe she was OK also.

HWB & A: I agree with both of you that for every scammer there are lots of sweet girls just looking for a decent BF. If you compare the percentage of scammers among Filipinas looking for a foreign BF to the percenatage of guys going to the PI for sex who scam the girls . . . . .

IMHO certain members here have their own agendas, hence one needs to take BOTH the positive posts and the negative ones with a grain of salt.

gentlemen we all talk about the scammers and rip off artists working the internet etc. however the other edge of the sword is that MANY decent ladies are on(and off) the internet and genuinely looking to meet a decent foreigner. I've known lots of "nice girls" who were sorely frustrated after scouring the internet and meeting guys who ask them to show themselves or talk dirty while they jerk off. These ladies usually ask me or Mrs Spamhog to find them a nice guy...I give my standard answer, "I don't know any nice guys". (myself included)

As far as the "virginity" thing goes I suppose there is a happy medium, many Filipinas espouse virtue but the honest ones will tell you the truth about her sexual history, give me an honest woman any day, virgin or not.

Yes I have to agree with you spam hog, I think there is a great deal of girls even in ac who have been severely burned by foreigners like me!

The attitude i take after 2 trips to phils and a couple of filipina gfs here in australia is that its all a game and you win some, lose some, but there's always another little honey waiting in the wings. The stories they come up with and the variations on the same theme have to be almost admired. If you get sucked into their pleas for money over the net or after meeting them personally, well, bad luck for you, just learn from your mistakes.

What keeps us coming back is they are so cute, so good and willing in bed and by and large, so cheap. Beats the shit out of breaking your balls over aussie or american women who are control freaks, want everything off you and are older, not as good in bed, not as naturally attractive generally, and if you marry them and it doesn't work out, will take you for everything.

I know there are some horror stories of guys marrying their little honeyko and then having her dash off as soon as she gets her visa etc, but most of the time the guy should have seen it coming and only has himself to blame. If he is honest with himself and looks back he will know the stories that didn't add up but he chose to ignore them. Love is blind!

I know what keeps me working 6 days a week for 11 months of the year is that I will be in Manila at New Year bedding an assortment of young, very willing and sensual partners that will cost me a fraction of what it would at home and will leave me feeling as good as gold.

Maybe one day I will get sick of the assortment and settle for just one, but until then I will enjoy their games and assess each story on its merits and watch my own back.

I've been a reader for years and posted a few in the USA guide. I am heading over to AC for the first time in March and have a few questions. Didn't know whether to put this here or in the general AC section. Anyways, here is my situation. I have been talking to my AC "gf" since last May via YM and phone. I have a exporting business I started over there and have been able to trust her with large amounts of money. She has been more on top of it than I have, giving me reciepts and expense reports without me even asking. She has never asked me for money for a "sick" grandma or for anything really. Any money that I've ever given her has been work related. Overall she is great and a sweetheart, nothing to ever make me doubt her feelings. Now here is my dilemma, I am going to AC and want to have fun for a few days before I meet up with her. She lives in Mabacalat which is the municipality next to AC. She says she hardly goes into AC if ever. My question is how small or big is AC in general, like if I go BFing for the first 5 days is there a chance she may hear about it in the next municipality over? If I had a relative sense of how big AC is, I would have a better idea. Or even if you have advice if you were in this similar situation. Thanks guys.

Why risk the chance? I wouldn't. The saying "It's A Small World" would definitely apply... especially in the Philippines. Somebody probably knows someone who knows someone who knows your Girlfriend. It's very likely that she might find out that you were in the Philippines for 5 days before you made your presence known to her. If I were you... I would go to Manila or Cebu... just away from AC... far away from AC!

This one time a married buddy of mine and I were on our way to Boracay. We brought our girlfriends along with us. Mind you... This was before I was married and I eventually ended up marrying the girlfriend that I brought to Boracay. As we were waiting at the airport to board the plane, he was slighty nervous because he was a bit worried that he might bump into one of his wife's friends or relatives or even one of his own relatives at the airport for good reason. Alot of the times when my buddy and I are at one of the malls in Manila, we always bump into someone he knows, who knows him and his wife. So being a little paranoid is normal because you never know who you might bump into. So as we all waited to board the plane, my buddy and I sat a good distance from our girlfriends so it would appear that we werent with anyone besides ourselves... although I wanted to sit beside my girlfriend, being the good friend that I am, I waited with my buddy so that I could appear to be his alibi / wingman.

Yes, the Philippines is a BIG country... but you never know who you might bump into. They might know your wife or a relative of her's who knows you or at least seen a picture of you with or without her. Especially if you dont look Filipino, they will surely remember what you look like! Just play it safe and "play" far away from AC!

Also becareful when you contact her when you get to the Philippines. You mentioned that you stay in contact with your girlfriend via phone and messenger? Make sure that you contact her like you usually do. Like, if you usually chat online with her when it's 9:00am in the Philippines, you better chat with her during the same time that you would usually chat with her. Becareful when calling her, or dont even call her since she'll see the number that you are calling from on her cellphone. Pinay's are very loving, but they can also be very angry if lied to. They can also get very suspicious if they have been scorned once already by somebody else. It's just their defense mechanism. Just play it safe if you intend to "disappear" for the 5 days before meeting up with your girlfriend.

You can have plenty of fun in MLA before you go to AC.

I did the same thing in Dec. I was with my girl and she wanted to see the pic in my passport. Then she started looking at visas and a chill went up my spine. I grabbed it back....yikes....if she had seen the arrival date in my passport, the jig would be up.

The other problem I had was that I have a PI phone. If she calls that phone she can see if it is on or not. I got caught that way twice with other women.

Yes she knows you're in the PI when she can call your phone no. and it rings. What I do is to purchase another SIM chip only for the girl I'm with. It's only a couple of bucks. Then you're presumably "out of the country" for anyone who calls your regular number.

When I visit phills next I am visiting 4 of my "girl freinds", trouble is they like me to text them all the time wheither I am in england or phills, can anyone tell me how to stop letting them see from my text that I am in the phills already as I beleive the text record tells them its a smart.
