There might not be that much sauna action near Hilton with the crackdown in JingAn and closing of Kang Ding, but you have pick up bars like Judy and Manhattan close by.

If you want to stick with saunas, the former manager of Kang Ding has a new place near Shanghai Swimming Center. It is a little bite more expensive than Kang Ding. Bodi might not be that bad a hike, You can take Line 2 from JingAn Temple towards Pudong Airport, and get off at Century Park (8 stops) and then take a taxi. But subway will stop running before 11 PM. There are also SiYuan and Sacrosa in the Century Avenue area. Redhouse and Baliya are not that far away from Hilton by taxi. All are within 1000 rmb range.

The Bodi is not in the middle of nowhere, however compared to Jing'an, it might as well be. It is for sure not in the center of the city. It is definitely not convenient like the city center where you can find just about anything you want (not referring to mongering) within a short walk.

It is located in Pudong, surrounded by mid brow residential developments, without close access to shopping and dining establishments. There are not much foot traffics around the hotel, even during the day. You have to take a taxi to go to the subway stations, and to the business districts of Pudong. If you are in SHA for business. It is definitely not convenient, but room rates are cheaper, especially compared to Hilton.

You can take the maglev train to the terminal, and take a taxi to the Bodi hotel within 30 to 40 minutes, have fun and come back within a few hours. I have done once when I have a about 4 hours between my flight.
